I came to buy some items for my grandmother. The clothing here is perfect for all kinds of body types. They even have bras with larger bands, but smaller cups. The service here was amazing! The sales women here were welcoming without being overwhelming. They were helpful in choosing the right kind clothing without being pushy. Seriously, the service exceeds high end department stores. Way to go!

Had some gift cards, so my husband and I went to go use them. We didn’t find much of a variety of clothes though, but we managed to find a nightgown that was on sale, plus a couple of other things. It wasn’t too bad. I didn’t like being pressured into trying to get rewards cards though, we said that we’d think about. It was a decent shopping experience.

My mom bought me a body shaper from Catherines yesterday because my Lane Bryant one was on its last legs. A body shaper, for those skinny and uninitiated, is basically a bathing suit that you wear under your clothes. It makes your muffin top and other flabbles/lumps and bumps vanish. It’s magical. Lane Bryant sells theirs for more than $ 70(Spanx sells one for $ 106), while the Catherines suit was $ 34 marked down to $ 19.98, plus my mom had a coupon. She had to return a shirt for herself that was too big, so I tagged along with her to check out the store. Some of the clothes were very old ladyish, but you can tell that they’re trying to break into the more modern, younger market. They had skinny jeggings, pretty dresses and sexy bras. Of course, they carried old lady undergarments and dowdy clothes that will remind you of your Kindergarten teacher. The pants run big, so grab a size smaller than you normally wear. The two staff members were very friendly and didn’t pressure us into sales. Our cashier actually went out of her way to give us discounts! I found a bra for $ 30 and wound up paying $ 15. That body suit I mentioned? The final price was $ 7 and some change! I’ll definitely be back to snag some more underthings and maybe to try out the jeans. I can’t wait for them to get more and more younger items! It’s like Lane Bryant and Avenue combined, but without the rude, overpowering sales associates!

In the back of Hastings Ranch near Chic Shoes. Prices are reasonable to moderate, selection varies, service is attentive. Quality of the clothing is what disappointed me — for the price, I would like to think sport knits would stand up to a few more washings before pilling so badly or totally losing finish or stretching out of shape or fading to another color altogether(always on wash gentle with cold water and low tumble dry.) I have had much better results with Elizabeth or Liz Claiborne(NOT Liz & Co.!) or Danskin or Style & Co. or Nordstrom’s brand workout and casual knits.
