We used to love ordering delivery from Chili Mango. No more. Prices have risen, portions are smaller and… they no longer offer steamed rice to go with your curry. We ordered $ 60 worth of food… no rice. Called to point out the missing item and was told I had to order rice. They came back with rice… but a small carton cost $ 2. We are done.

Our favorite Thai place in town. Love the green curry. Friendly staff. Husband and I have never ordered anything we didn’t like.

A friend and I visited Chilly Mango after a recent hike to Mt Wilson. My friend had been there many times before, but unfortunately he did not write any reviews. They had over a dozen lunch specials to choose from… we ended going with the chicken curry for one and the chicken basil for the other. We also ordered a Thai iced coffee… which was incredibly refreshing. The food was full of flavor, well priced(I think it was $ 7 or $ 8), and the service was very attentive/friendly. Although I do not live in the area, I would recommend this place for a quick fix to any Thai cravings you may be having when in the Pasadena area!

Excellent & affordable Thai cuisine. Perfect portions. Elegant presentation. The only area for improvement is ambience. Could use a mural or at least painted clock murals(instead of cheap wall decals.) I’m very satisfied. Great meal for the price.

We didn’t know where we wanted to eat but we knew we wanted Thai so we Unilocaled and this came up as the closest. When we walked in the restaurant was very empty but we didn’t mind that since our 1 year old was with us. We ordered the coconut soup 3 out of 5 stars, pad Thai 2 out of 5 and the chicken chashew nut satay which was also 2 out of 5. However the service was friendly and attentive but I won’t be back again. Plenty of other good Thai establishments in town.

In the five years since my original review, I’ve been here a few more times. In my latest experience, the portions were much smaller than what I’ve been used to. The parking situation in the back lot is weird and unfortunate. Most of the time, there’s no one there and no way to pay, but sometimes there is an attendant who tries to make some people pay and doesn’t bother with others. I’m not coming back until the parking situation becomes more consistent, either by making it free all the time or posting a schedule of when payment is required.

I like Chilly Mango. It is hard to find a good Thai restaurant in Pasadena that is not overpriced. Chilly Mango dishes are still around $ 7-$ 8. As for the taste, I’m Thai, and I know what Thai food is supposed to taste like. I can tell you that their Thai fried rice is really good. We also ordered the tofu basil and it was really delicious. My son loved it. Their food can be a bit sweet depending on the cook, but after I told them to cut back on the sugar by half, the food comes out really great. The waitress is really attentive, and nice. This place is a little hard to find since it’s on the 2nd floor above Mako Bowl. I have been going back there quite a bit. I have to try more things on the menu!

Pad thai and my bf paw see ew was delicisious. I need to try their fried rice when I come back. Thai tea was a little overwhemlming.

Food is consistent and reasonable for lunch. I’ve enjoyed most of the dishes. Thai iced coffees are amazing and served in cute little mason jars. Although, I am still mourning the closing of Bua Na Thai — RIP. The décor is a little strange/dated… My only real complaint would be their lack of air conditioning which is pretty important while eating delicious *spicy* Thai food.

They almost forced me to tip upon delivery while it’s not a must to tip the delivery as they already charge for the delivery fee. You have just lost a customer, keep being that way and your greedy mind will definetely save you more $$$$. I bet even the symbol of $ makes you happy. Shame on you. In addition, I wrote a note with capital letters saying not to cook it with a pan that had pork in it and guess what; they put pork sausages in the noodle. How sarcastic and insolent you are. Thanks for wasting my nerves and money. And of course, good job on receiving a cash for your chucked out food!

My usual Thai place during the work week. I really enjoy the following dishes: Thai BBQ chicken Thai BBQ pork Both items are truly delicious. The sauces are very tasty for the items. Rather hidden but worth the trip. I’ll order the a la carte since the portions are much bigger than the lunch special.

Dont be like me and cross the street searching every which way for the restaurant! It’s on the second level above Subway. Use the stairs to get to Tamashii ramen and walk past it. My first visit was for lunch. I was greeted by a friendly hostess/waitress. As soon as I was seated, I mentioned that I wanted to order mango rice, which she put in right away. After receiving my food, she checked how I was enjoying the meal. One thing to mention is avoid sitting at the booth. The seats were awkwardly high for the table. I’m 5’2″ and even I had to hunch over the table! The food was okay, but the lunch special was a good bargain for under $ 10. Here’s what I ordered: — Salad(came with the special). It was definitely an Asian salad. Iceberg, shredded carrot, and honey mustard dressing… Nothing fancy, but hey, at least I had my vegetables. — Chicken pad see ew. Presentation was nice and neat. The noodles were not too salty, light on the soy sauce, slightly sweet, and not overwhelmed with garlic. I enjoyed the large stalks of perfectly cooked broccoli. The plate included a vegetable eggroll that had noticeable ginger flavor(but not too overpowering), was very crispy on the outside, yet mushy on the inside where filling soaked into the dough. — Mango sticky rice was definitely not disgusting, but not amazing either. I would have preferred the rice wetter/saucier. I couldn’t blame them for the flavor of the mango, since it was not the right season, but they did make sure that it was ripe. I had ordered the dessert to-go, and the take-out packaging was thoughtfully lined with aluminum foil over the styrofoam box.

I visited this restaurant for the first time the other night. On the plus side, the food was quite decent and the portion sizes generous. I probably won’t go back just because i didn’t like the ambiance. it was too bright and I wasn’t comfortable in the seats. I didn’t care for the television overhead, but the server, who was VERY accommodating, turned it off.(Nobody else was watching anyway.) I have no complaints about the service or the food. But it was still just okay for me. I really prefer Saladang much more. I wouldn’t be unhappy if I ended up here again, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way. That said, I do think the food was good and that a lot of people might enjoy it more than I did. 3.5 stars.

I have passed by this little Thai restaurant on my daily walk and always wanted to check it out. I was very pleased with the friendly service, great lunch specials and authentic tasting food. It is located on the second level on Colorado Blvd, so there is an excellent view of the buildings and street, natural lighting. I love the friendly Thai hospitality and service. The amount of food was perfect, I left feeling very satisfied but not bloated like other Thai restaurants where the food is filled with sodium.

Its a lazy Sunday and I decided to order in. I’ve ordered from several different thai places around and decided to try this place out. I drive by this place every so often and was happy to learn that they deliver. I ordered or delivery and they were super fast. about 30 minutes. I ordered pad see ew and pad woon sen. Both very delish and tasty. I will surely order from Chili Mango again. From other reviews that I have read they have awesome lunch specials so I will definitely try their lunch specials some time soon. –1 star because the delivery guy was not very nice. No hi no hello. Just handed me my food and pretty much left. No thank you either. BoOoOo for that. Enjoy!

Best Thai Place in the area in my opinion for LUNCH Specials that DELIVER. The Eat24 option makes it super simple to order from work– and in less than an hour my food is delivered to the office. Today I ordered three things– a group order with my co workers– and two of them I even included extra instructions– and when we got the food– they didn’t mess up hah– they followed the orders to the T. The taste is fresh and really good too for the price. I got the lunch special basil chicken– YUMMY and a good portion for $ 7.95– and most importantly– it tastes FRESH– i’ve tried other places in the area that are slightly cheaper, but I was disappointed in the food quality. =\
