Ordered a party tray of Vietnamese Spring Rolls and got it in an hour. Everybody liked it and it was very affordable. So good, I came back on another occasion to order again! Their boba is not too bad.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable bowl of phở here. Friendly waitstaff.

We got delivery service. While it’s not the best phở joint in the world, it’s good for what you’re paying for. My only complaint is that the was warm(not hot enough too cook the noodle) by the time it arrived. Other than that the broth is good and the eggrolls are good.

Good food, slow service but very nice servers. I blame the cooks if anything. I’ve been there twice

Just come here for the cheap banh mi. Aside from that the service is pretty terrible. Employees have bad attitude all the time.

If you’re thinking of getting Thai food in Pasadena, I’m sure there are plenty of other lovely places to eat with hosts who will treat you better than this place. I stopped in here today in between classes because it’s conveniently right across the street from campus(PCC) and I had never tried Thai food before. I ordered a dish that had vegetables and three different meats that came in a mushroom gravy. In the menu’s description of the dish, it didn’t let on that there were even going to be any mushrooms in it. In any case, since I’m not fond of mushrooms, I let a waitress know that I wasn’t happy with the dish and I wanted a different one. They brought me my new dish which I tried and really wasn’t crazy about but was satisfied. When I got to the counter to pay, I noticed they charged me for both of my dishes. I do understand that not all restaurants will extend to you the courtesy of taking back your dish in exchange for another one but I would at least like to be aware of the fact that I’m buying two dishes. I let the cashier know that I had no knowledge of this and she goes to get someone from the back who gets hostile with me saying, «Well, they cooked the food for this dish. It’s not my fault you don’t like it!» I actually had to interrupt her rant to say okay, okay, I’ll pay it. I left upset and embarrassed that I paid close to $ 20 for food I didn’t like and was disrespected at the counter. I can’t say much for the quality of the food here. Some of the people there seemed to like it but just don’t expect to be treated nicely. None of the waiters/cashiers/cooks/employees were the least bit friendly and they really don’t seem to display any kind of manners or decent customer service.

Probably one of the better Phở places in Pasadena. I was desperate for Phở but since it was cold and raining, I wanted to stay near home and not drive down to Temple City or SG. I ordered the phở w/rare steak and well done brisket. Not too shabby. My complaint was that the broth was really thin. It’s okay, I was able to dress it up with some hoisin sauce and Sriracha. That did the trick! Overall the portion was pretty big and they’re generous with the noodles, but the noodles kind of all stuck together instead of staying separate. Unfortunately, I wasn’t too fond of eating rice noodle patties. Overall, I’d come back because it wasn’t awful, but there are definitely some better phở places out there! Tip: They do deliver but with a delivery fee!

I just dropped in with a friend and picked up some spring rolls. It was a quick trip and the service was quick and friendly. The best part was the spring rolls were really good and cheap! Each pack comes with 3 spring rolls and they were filling. Definitely a good place to come in and get a quick bite to eat. The down side is that there isn’t much parking.

More expensive than their other locations, limited menu, and poor food quality. I ate here a couple of times for lunch and food was decent when they opened. I don’t know what happened since but ate there today and it was a sad experience. Phở noodles were overlooked and broth was mediocre. Husband had the bun thit nuong(grilled pork noodles), meat was bland and hardly grilled. Won’t be coming back.

I wish they had this place when I was going to PCC back then. Anyway considering Pasadena is so expensive to eat this is good affordable Vietnamese food. Parking is very limited in the back so we park on the street. Egg rolls were super hot so you know they were made fresh. Phở is very general but what can you expect. Boba drinks are BOGO excluding hot drinks. Service is good but limited as they are short staff sometimes.

Great food, I just wish they were a little more welcoming. I couldn’t get a smile or a simple hello from the waiter. But the food is excellent and the taste is delicious. Will come back for sure. I had the H3 which is pork chops and egg with a fresh crisp salad and rice.

A bit too bland for me. Didn’t really do the job either. I tried the phở, tom yum noodles and the pork bahn mi. The good thing it’s very affordable! All three dishes for $ 19! Yeah, it’s not my favorite and didn’t satisfy my cravings. But this is one of the two places that sell Vietnamese cuisine close to me :(

Meh. is definitely correct. Since this place bears the same ‘Banh Mi Che Cali’ name and it had me thinking this one was the same ones that you find in OC and SGV. They even have similar Banh Mi menus. But nope This restaurant mainly serves up Thai food with Vietnamese Banh Mi and Che. After looking over the menu, we didn’t know what to think and ended up just getting the Banh Mis … They also have buy 2 get 1 free deal here but it’s not any good at all. The bread is chewy but they skimped on the meats and veggies. Eh… Definitely won’t see me coming back here anytime soon or ever. Ugh

The boyfriend and I had time to kill while we waited for his car to be worked on. It’s located right across the street from PCC and can be easy to miss. The entrance/door is located on the side of the building. Walked in and was immediately sat(we had our pick of tables as there was only 1 other table in there). We got our menus and everything was looking good. The manager specials immediately caught our eye because of the cheap price(7.99) and because it included a drink. We both ended up ordering the vermicelli noodles with shrimp, egg rolls, and BBQ pork(Bun tom, thit nuong, cha gio). I got a Thai milk tea with mine and the boyfriend got a honey green tea with jelly. Drinks were out quick and the food was quick to follow. It looked amazing right off the bat. The bowls were huge and we soon realized that it was mostly filled with noodles and veg. There was just 1 egg roll, very little pork and shrimp. The shrimp was not seasoned or had any flavor… it resembled boiled shrimp(the same shrimp they use in shrimp fried rice). the BBQ pork wasn’t bad. Neither I nor my boyfriend ended up finishing our noodles. The drinks were on the sweet side. Service was just ok. Overall, our meal left us unsatisfied.

This is a small, unassuming restaurant located across from Pasadena City College. Upon entering, the staff was so friendly and helpful. When I told the lady at the counter that we wanted banh mi sandwiches, she immediately informed us of their special deal: buy 2 get 1 free, if the order is ‘to go’. Perfect! We ordered 3BBQ pork sandwiches to go. Each sandwich normally costs $ 3.25, so it was only $ 6.50 for 3 — a great deal. The sandwiches were sizeable and meaty. The pork was a bit fatty. They were not the best banh mi I’ve had, but for the price, they were more than adequate. And the service was spot on. parking — free street parking directly on Colorado Blvd

Was heading out to another place to eat out in Pasadena but didn’t make it before 9pm close. Found this Thai/Vietnamese place on a whim via Unilocal… 3-star avg. off 129 or so reviews figured let’s give it a shot. I didn’t think the place was as bad as other Unilocalers have said. Some comments made me laugh because it seemed so exaggerated like the one Andrew V. says«One star for being misled». Uhmm, pal, you led yourself when you walked in. LOL More than 5 dishes came in less than 15mins after ordering. I’d say that’s pretty quick. Our server was nice, courteous, and responsive. Food was delicous and presentation was great. I ordered the V-3 item which is the Vermicelli Beef with Lemon Grass for $ 6.49 is a bargain. I also tried the Special Combination Phở(S1) and that was good as well. Nice that they had BOGOs on milk teas and slushes although I wasn’t in the mood for it. Granted this is the first time I’ve been to this place and I guess I can call myself fortunate that I didn’t have the same«bad» experiences that others have had here. Maybe if go there on a Friday night after 9pm to get the great experience I had when I went? For a phở/Thai spot in Pasadena? 4 stars easy for price, service, and good bargain eating.

Food here is okay. The only dishes I would order are the banh cuon thit with cha lua(rice paper rolls stuffed with ground pork and tree ears with a side of pork loaf roll) and their hot soup phở’s. I like their desserts here too, especially the tri-color dessert! BOOOOMB! I’ve ordered their banh mi’s before and didn’t really like it, due to their lack of ingredients of not using liver pâté, yellow mayonnaise, and cucumber. The first time, I let it slide. I ordered it the second time a couple months later, and still, they lacked all the ingredients I named above. It was so bland… What came in the baguette/french bread was just the meat, pickled(not really) carrots and daikon, cilantro, and that’s it! If reading this doesn’t make your mouth water, than i’ve made my point. I’m use to paying $ 3 for a good sandwich, and this just doesn’t cut it. Golden Deli sandwiches will beat this place for the same price! Being an evolving chain franchise, at least make your food decent enough for it to taste good. and don’t be cheap with your ingredients. We would greatly appreciate it if you cared more about how your customers think about your food. Other than all the negative talk, I like the prices. I believe they removed the Buy 2 get 1 free boba milk teas? Also the Buy 2 Sandwiches, Get 1 Free does not apply anymore either. I mean. honestly, update your menu, so none of us would get mad for false advertising! Being cheap with ingredients and by holding back on changing the menu’s?! Very unethical. Please correct this! Thanks.

When I discovered that there were was a Banh Mi Che Cali next to me I literally went the next day for my favorite, Chicken Phở. I ordered the phở lunch combo with a side of shrimp only spring rolls. The lunch combo conveniently comes with a tea.(This is where the story takes a turn) Upon sticking my straw in my drink, the plastic covering exploded on me and the floor. I went to inform the staff and they didn’t understand what I was trying to say. I was asking them to mop up the tea and they didn’t get it. I asked for a another tea, to replace the exploded one and I felt like I got a dirty look. It was a very strange reaction. I know that it was a miscommunication but I think they could work a little on the service. That’s all. Kindness goes a long way but the food is still pretty good and super cheap. I won’t hate.
