Pretty good viet food. For me it’s my favorite because it’s close and convenient. It’s just a simple hole in the wall type place and it makes great phở, spring rolls, egg rolls, & vermicelli. Number #36 is my favorite right because of the heat in the summer it’s a good alternative to a hot bowl of phở, it’s simple and fresh and really hits the spot during the heat waves in SGV.

I put 1 star because there is no 0 for this shit restaurant! Today I went there because my friend recommend me. So, I have chance to visit them even I have lots of things to do today. The waiter seated us and gave us menu. Then, another waiter came and took order. I said that can I have two orders of no.2? And he made his face like attitude. Then I said two orders, TWOORDERS! Suddenly, he replied me just let perfectly clear!!!(Attitude voice) then I ordered more, then he acted like mad or something. Suddenly my brother stood up and complained him that please respect my sister and you are gentlemen!!! Then he starred my brother and he cannot control as he is waiter that basically waiters need to be clam down and deal with customer not be like this shit that he did to my brother and me! Finally, we decided getting out and never come back again! That’s terrible service! Thank you for ur kindness to serve us like this!!!

Came here with my parents and ordered the pork and egg roll dry noodle and two bowls of phở. Although the bowls seem on the small side they are all very good and tasty. I particularly like the pork which was kind of like bacon and was VERY tasty. The egg roll was also very good as well and it came with two. The phở was not bad as well. Service was okay and the restaurant is very typical for an Asian joint.

Very bad customer service. You can’t tell who works there b. c they don’t bother to put on apron. When I went in with my family, barely any greetings. When they take your money they don’t even say«thank you». When you leave, they don’t say anything either. The food was good, but the server(s) gave us attitude. Yes not just one server, all of them. I’m never coming back here again because of the very poor management and service. Terrible.

These guys are consistent, fast and very good with all their food. They know us know since we come at least a few times a month. Almost order by asking the usual but stop short since their menu is so good. Love the flavors. Just as good as the place across the street with the long lines. Ssssshhhhhh don’t tell anyone it’s the same people from both places. Edit, food still is great and things come out fast!!!

Love this place(: They have an off-menu vegetarian phở that’s really yummy. They make it fresh and it’s a huge bowl of noodles, veggies, and tofu. The broth is light but flavorful enough and not oily. The Vegetarian California Rolls are vegetarian spring rolls and they’re also good. Always order the 3 color drink for dessert hehe

I heard about this through binge watching YouTube celebrities, the Fung Brothers food channel. They claimed that this was the best Vietnamese restaurant in the 626 but I was hankering for some bun rieu(a seafood and tomato based rice noodle soup with crab patties) and decided to give it a shot. I also ordered the bi cuon(spring rolls with shredded beef sprinkled with rice powder) with the nuoc cham dipping sauce. It was around 11:30 am and there was only one other table occupied while I was there. The bun rieu was savory as well as a little bit sweet rather than sour and was very filling. You get quite a bit for your 8.95. The bi cuon was perfect. There’s a lot of work that goes into making spring rolls(I’ve made them at home before) and you get two thick rolls for 3.95. The menu looked really comprehensive so I ordered a bun thit nuong to go for my son. Unfortunately, the bbq pork was slathered in crushed peanuts and since my son is allergic to peanuts, we had to throw it out. So really important tip: If you’re a customer and anyone in your party is allergic to peanuts, make sure you ask if they fry/sauté in peanut oil or add peanuts to the dish. A lot of old school Asian places aren’t caught up to the current events that have to do with widespread peanut allergies so their menus aren’t up to date on divulging the ingredients to each dish. ASKABOUTPEANUTS. And if any of the proprietors read Unilocal reviews: PLEASEUPDATEYOURMENUTORESPECTPEOPLEWITHPEANUTALLERGIES.

Homey kind of Vietnam restaurant, a local favorite of friends of mine. Came here recently with my parents for lunch. My mom ordered a seafood mein, my dad got rare beef phở with the meat on the side and I ordered the #8 which is a combo beef phở, we all shared the crispy egg roll appetizer. There were four egg rolls in the appetizer, but they were double the length of your average egg roll. This also comes with a heaping plate of lettuce and greens too wrap around and then dip in fish sauce. Happy with this dish as the flavor of the ground meat inside was good and the egg roll skin thin and extra crispy, the herbs provided was fresh and balances the hotness of the fried food. My combo beef phở had a lot ingredients for the normal sized bowl, they don’t skimp on noodles and I found tons of meat. Since it was a combo I got pieces of tripe, tendon and thin slices of beef all mixed in. My mom said her seafood bowl didn’t have much seafood, she counted four small shrimps and one tiny crab claw. My dad was okay with his bowl, but he isn’t as picky. We all though the broth of our soup was too salty, so we didn’t drink much of it. Service could have been more attentive, you need to flag them down if you need say more water or anything else after you placed your initial order.

This use to be the better place to get the Seven Beef meal. Things have really changed. They might have changed owner or cooks. Either way, the food is not very good. Most of the meat was over cooked. The egg roll looked like it was fried in old oil. The customer service was subpar. The restaurant itself is getting old and it doesn’t seem to be very clean. There was a slight odor when I walked in. I probably won’t be coming back.

Been here a couple of times. Always the same. A-OK service and A-Ok food. Plenty of parking spots because it is inside a plaza. The food can be a hit and miss, but I still enjoyed it. I usually go there when I am around that area. Their phở is good. This time I ordered the Banh Xeo which, is like a Vietnamese Crêpe inside stuffed with bean sprouts, meat and shrimp. I was about $ 8 something. When it came out the Banh Xeo was pretty big! It was delicious! Service is a hit and miss also. My friend ordered a spring roll for an appetizer and it didn’t come out until the very end. The food pretty much make up for the bad service. A good place for a quick and cheap meal.

Hello my Unilocalies, Came here for the first time with the family. Parking here is convenient, it is located inside a plaza so it shouldn’t be too hard. But sometimes when it’s on the weekend it can get a little pack, so I definitely suggest to come early because there are many delicious restaurants around. The family decided to celebrate Chinese New Year early to avoid the crowd. We had about 19 people and arrived around 5pm on a Sunday night. There wasn’t many people so that was definitely very easy, I personally don’t know that much about Vietnamese food so it was a little difficult for me to know what’s good or not. I order egg rolls and a rice dish. I have to say their egg rolls was definitely extremely delicious, you can never go wrong with Vietnamese Egg Rolls. It was fried perfectly, and seasoned well, some place’s egg rolls can be very chewy but this place definitely had some crispy ones. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what rice dish I got is called but it had beef, egg and shredded pork. I must say the reason I gave it a 3 stars is because of the beef, it was so hard to chew and definitely over seasoned. The Shredded pork was cold, I’m not too sure if that was suppose to be cold but it was definitely hard for me to eat. The only thing that was good was the egg, but it is hard to cook that wrong lol haha. Their service was alright, it was difficult because my big brother wanted shredded pork on the side but unfortunately they don’t do that, which was very weird. But I guess some restaurants have a policy but at least I get to give him mine. Overall, 3 stars for service, 3 stars for food and drinks, 3 stars for envrioment and decoration and 3 stars for cleanliness. I probably won’t come back again.

Pretty solid spot for a quick Vietnamese meal. I usually attend the Golden Deli across the street, but man it can be packed! I skip and a hop over and here’s this place. I wonder if they ever get pissed at the Golden Deli, but I gather there’s always enough to share in the Vietnamese food industry since they’re literally next to each other! Needless to say, I came an ordered their Vermicelli Noodles with eggrolls and pork. Overall, attentiveness and service is solid. The eggrolls were extra crispy with what I call a crustacean crunch since that’s what it reminds me of; I generally take it out of my bowl to make sure it doesn’t get soggy from the fish sauce. The pork was somewhat pretty fatty for me but not bad. Overall, good portions and good quick bite. It didn’t really wow or pow my palates, but I’d say if Golden Deli is too packed; I’ll know where I can swing by. — Enjoy!

The food is pretty good. The 7 course beef meal is where it’s at :) I like wrapping in lettuce and meat and dipping it in the fish sauce. Lots of flavor and fresh. The rice plate with charbroiled pork and baked egg is a lot, it tastes like any other Vietnamese restaurant . The con is the servers… I know they are busy when it’s packed, but they act really odd like they don’t talk. Literally. LOL. You can’t help but feel weird… Just saying.

I tried the 7 course beef. I’ve never tried it before but it wasn’t too bad. it’s pretty much like a hot pot/make your own spring roll. Lots of food with decent quality meats. I didn’t care for some of the meats since it was very greasy. Egg rolls were yummy and the spring rolls weren’t the best, but it was HUGE! Service was fast and excellent. This is just another hole in the wall Vietnamese joint. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

I usually eat in house, but this updated review is for their food to go. Check out the menu and then order with one of their servers and pay at the counter, and then wait for about 20mins while they prep your order. Ordered their phos(Dac Biet and Phở Tai Nam Gan Sach) to go and they definitely don’t skimp, especially, on the meats and tendons! You get a lot and even extra leftover broth too! Though, I do recommend squeezing some lime wedges in there(Broth is kinda salty). Nonetheless, whenever I’m craving phở, my favorite go to place on Las Tunas :) Service is always quick, friendly and efficient.

Good Vietnamese food! I recommend going here for lunch or dinner, especially if the line for Golden Deli is out the door. Although I prefer Golden Deli in general, Vietnam House is a close second. I suggest ordering the 94A(shrimp paste, baked egg, charbroiled pork/beef, shredded pork) and the rare/well-cooked beef phở.

7.95 for no. 1 and everything else is 6.50 or so, hence price is the same as everywhere else. Service was average. No complaints. So why the two stars? I was sooooooo disgusted with the soup– an inch of it was pure oil! I thought I got the first bad batch but it was the same with everyone else. Then the fried egg rolls(though they give you 5) it’s again so deep fried that the edges were charcoal black from using old oil. Clean oil would never give you that dark color, unless they just fried it too long– which again won’t make the egg rolls good. I don’t understand why so many people come here still but I’m not going to be one of them.

Came to try this phở place since Golden Deli’s line was too long. Typical phở restaurant, the service could have been better but it wasn’t. My friend and I ordered 2 Phở Dac Biet, egg rolls and a Soda Chanh. The egg rolls came out first, they gave us 6 egg rolls when it was suppose to be 5. My friend and I was like«yay! an extra egg roll». The excitement only lasted 15 seconds. The server realized the mistake and took back the order. Came back with 5 egg rolls on a smaller plate to make it look like a lot. He didn’t even say sorry or anything. -.-” The egg rolls were good, lots of flavor and deep fried in my favorite egg roll skin. For my soda Chanh, it took a while for it to come out as well. I had to make my own soda Chanh! Usually when I order that drink at any other phở places, it’s already done. Not for Vietnam House, they put in the sugar and lemon and you pour the Perrier yourself. As for the PHO Dac Biet, it is HUGEE! They only come in one size. My friend(big guy) and I realized we should have shared one, rather then getting 2 separate bowls. They don’t skip out on the meat and other ingredients! As I was eating my bowl, I felt like it was never ending. I really like the meat they gave us too, it was really tender. When we were done, my friend asked for the checked. As we got the check, the guy was waiting on us to give him the money. He was like standing next to it and eyeing us waiting for the money… who the heck does that? I understand if it’s because you guys are closing, but your not. It was 9PM with other people at the restaurant as well. HELLAARUDEE Overall, I would come back again. The food was worth it.

If you are a fan of Golden Deli but don’t want to wait 45+ minutes and pay a bit more, then come to Vietnam House as they are a BIT cheaper and have little to no wait time. Yes the egg rolls are a bit oily and salty(I’d avoid them in the future), the phở is delicious and a steal at $ 5.50. Service is «eh»; it definitely could be better but if you want a cheap, quick meal then Vietnam House is a viable option. I don’t rave this place as one of my favorites, but I don’t complain about it being the worst either. I guess you’ll have to try it out for yourself.
