Knowledgeable, good listener, able to communicate clearly with patients about their diagnosis and treatment– what more could you ask for in a doctor? Dr. Martel also has that intangible quality that not all doctors possess; the feeling that she is truly caring for you.
The office environment and staff are warm and welcoming which helps alleviate the fear associated with seeing an oncologist. I highly recommend Dr. Martel.

From the moment you walk into the USC Norris Cancer Center, you are greeted with nothing but welcoming smiles and genuine concern. From the secretaries in the front to to Dr. Martel’s Nurse, Jena… you truly feel that your health and well being is their priority. I know that everyone in healthcare should make you feel this way, but let’s be realistic… it’s just not that way.
Dr. Martel has been caring for my father for several years. My dad is a simple man and Dr. Martel is a very intelligent woman, so sometimes I have to act as the medical translator. Aside from that, she is nothing but amazing. She is thorough and doesn’t leave a stone unturned. She is accessible by phone if have concerns and always returns calls even if it is later in the evening. I have appreciated her efforts with my dad, I don’t know how to thank her enough for her ongoing care and concern for his well being.
Let’s face it… Cancer sucks. But if you have to have, I suggest you go to the best to help you fight!
