We were greeted immediately and Sam, I presume, went over the various food choices. Le café crème is the friendly place for a quick, tasty, healthy, inexpensive lunch.

Since Sam is the«MAN», he’s probably the person I spoke with. I called Le Café Crème because of all the GREAT reviews that are found on Unilocal! And when I called, I told him that I was calling to get pricing for boxed lunches for 100 people, as I need to prepare a budget. He said, «you will need to come in. We don’t do that over the phone». Then HEHUNGUP!!! I don’t have a problem with his request to come to the restaurant to discuss a simple boxed lunch order for 100 people, but I don’t appreciate that he abruptly hung up the phone. Every other restaurant that I called was kind, gracious and helpful. I guess, we just will have to go without ever trying Le Café Crème, because I will not spend money with anyone who does not understand common courtesy, let alone customer service and gratitude. In addition, I will not patronize this establish personally, nor attend with my family. Life is too short, and there’s just too many great restaurants in the area.

The owner said he’d been there 23 years, and I can see why it is still going strong! Great service, loved our sandwiches and coffee, and he gave my daughter a free granola bar :-) The ingredients in the sandwiches were a cut above.

This is the only thing that is saving me on a day when I have to go to the office, miss this sunny afternoon and lose an hour of time to boot: the spinach pie from Café Crème. I picked up three yesterday when I went to drop off shoes at Frank’s. I’d never been in this plaza so I checked out all the shops. What a treat to find these delicious little tarts. Even stuck in the toaster at the office one day after buying them, they’re wonderful. The owner was very cordial and considerate.

Small, but super cool place. Don’t expect anything fancy, but you won’t regret coming here. I got the iced chai and the spinach pastry and they were both rich in flavor. The owner is also gentle and seems to care a lot– nice place to unwind. The atmosphere is warm and homely.

Really hard to find! The owner is very sweet. Next time I’ll either ask for more brie cheese in my sandwich or try something else. It was pretty dry. The coffee was good.

La Café Crème is located in The Colonnade and a little difficult to find. The shop itself is very small with about three table to sit and eat. The owner Sam was very nice and makes your order quickly. We ordered turkey and ham sandwiches. The meat to bread ratio was good and the French roll was very fresh. Overall it’s a good sandwich.

As many have stated, Sam is the man! Totally stumbled across a cool lil mom n pop shop and found another reason to want to support a good ol small business venture. Happened upon this joint and popped in for a quick drink and quickly stopped myself cause I wasn’t sure if I had my wallet on me and would have to run back out to my car and he told me not to worry about it and I could come by next time and pay him! Who does that?!! Nobody… Except Sam. To top it off, they’re actually a cash-only spot but I had none on me and he told me if I really wanted to pay that I could stop by their other shop a couple doors down and they could ring me up over there. So, he literally let me walk out and didn’t even watch to see if I went over there or not! I wasn’t sure which shop it was so I had to go back n ask him but was completely caught off guard by the entire experience. Id wish we could go back in time to have that awesome wholesomeness of the 50s but I’d miss technology too much. Life was too hard pre-yelp!

Truly one of the best places to get a coffee and a hot sandwich. The Brie & Basel Panini is to die for. Every drink whether it be cold or hot is fantastic. The service is perfect, Sam is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

Great turkey wrap and this is so huge enough for TWO people!!! So Big and only $ 4.95, Sam you have a gem of a little shop here too bad it’s located inside this medical building so hidden away and no one can see it or i believe a lot more people would be eating here!

Love this little sandwich shop. Inexpensive. Garlic chicken sandwich is my favorite. Quiche is good too. Indoor patio seating. Mom and pop owned. Not a huge menu but great for a quick bite.

I stumbled upon this place when taking a shortcut from the back parking lot to get to Shopper’s Lane. It looked so cute, and I just knew I had to try it! Came back again and was sad to find it was closed. Just as I was walking away, the owner came and unlocked the door. Hmm, okay. It was the middle of the day? Anyway, it had chairs and tables set up inside the café, and outside(it’s actually housed in an indoor«mall») next to a bubbling fountain. Adorable! Except, I feel like it’s kind of sketch sitting by yourself in a dimly lit place just drinking coffee. Most of the stores in this place are closed every time I go through there, no matter if it’s a weekday, weekend, morning, or night. Very odd. The prices for this place are very reasonable. I got an americano with soy and added splenda to it. The gentleman(the owner, I assume) was just friendly and helped me out very much. Unfortunately, I forgot to specifiy that I wanted it iced. And it was in the middle of the summer. At 3PM. Geez. Anyway, when I finally got myself home and sufficiently cooled down, I found it was very delicious! I had to keep asking him for more soymilk, because he didn’t quite put enough for me, but he was very accommodating and did just so. There are some food items on the menu, and some pastries+cookies on display. I wanted to get a croissant to go along with my coffee, but I noticed a tiny, tiny gnat buzzing around. Definitely not my thing. Also — another thing that I noticed was weird was the absence of sound, or music. It was simply very, very quiet. Maybe if they played some background music, I’d be more willing to stay and linger over a cup of coffee.

Wow. I guess I’ve never had a real chai tea until I came here. It’s conveniently located right under my doctor’s & what drew me to this place was the name, the coziness… the giant chalk board. Lol This place can be easily missed or looked over but it is truly a hidden gem. First time I tried it, I didn’t read any reviews didn’t check Unilocal, just wanted a nice hot drink. Ordered the Chai Tea & got the small because I wasn’t sure if it would taste good or not & ahhh major regret for not getting the larger size! The chai was very hot, punched me in the face with flavor & was a lil frothy. Now I look forward to going to the doctor’s so when I leave, I can buy my delicious Chai. Only thing that sucks is that they have ruined Starbucks & Coffee Bean for me & when I do stop coming to the doctor’s I know I’ll crave it. Meaning I’ll have to wait til the end of my work day & go out of my way for it but SOWORTHIT! Yum yum, glad I found you Café Le Crème! ** If you are looking for this place ON Lake Ave, it’s in the same plaza as Sansei so park there & walk on in to grab your yummo drink!
