We did pick up and take out. Got a Pasadena lobster roll. It feels like the person who came up with this recipe has not been to New England and definitely not Maine. This was ok. Lobster in bread, chives and whatever with a side of uncooked fries. Fries were a major disappointment. Chips on the side of a lobster roll are necessary. Forgot our cole slaw. I go to the east coast often and feel like my hometown of LA tries with the lobster rolls, but only for popularity. Not because they know a good lobster roll.

The Pasadena style lobster roll was delicious. Their happy hour is a pretty good deal as they offer lobster tails at a discounted price. I wasn’t too impressed with their warm lobster rolls as there wasn’t much flavor to it and their lobster chowder had barely any lobster in it.

The food was okay??? And the service was okay??? I got the Pasadena lobster roll, clam chowder and the calamari(plus dip). The calamari was delicious and the roll was kind of bland. The clam chowder was too salty. The fries were okay not the best fries in the world. Also it’s pretty pricey for the small amount of food served. I will probably come back once every full moon when I am craving for some seafood but definitely not the top of my to go list of places to eat. Kind of pricey for the small amount. But will come back for the calamari and dip.

Where do I begin? First I’ll start by saying that this is a great location for this establishment. The establishment was clean and quiet on a Sunday afternoon. The waitress could have been more attentive(she forget my starter which I had to remind her of) I understand it happens but it wasn’t busy. Well for the food I ordered the Warm Lobster Roll and it was amazingly delicious, I wish the roll was bigger because I still wanted more. The shrimp taco was also very good be sure to check on to Unilocal to get it free!!!

— Lobster Roll — $ 14, I had a lobster roll at 1 other place and this lobster roll was not as good. The lobster was not as fresh and neither was the roll when compared to the other place(Cousin’s Maine Lobster) but still good. 3⁄5 — Loaded Fries(clam chowder, blue cheese curds, tomatoes) — $ 9, It’s a small amount for what you pay for but it was tasty. The best part was the clam chowder which reminded me of Poutine which is fries dipped in gravy. 3⁄5 OVERALL I’m giving this place 2⁄5 because you get such a small amount and you would be better off spending your money on something else.

Came here for happy hour! BOGO free drinks, $ 2 shrimp tacos(you can also check in for a free shrimp taco!) and $ 9 lobster tail daily from 3−6pm! The place was pretty empty. It turns into some lounge at night apparently. My gf and I basically ordered a ton to share. — lobster bisque: super delicious! Not tooo creamy or overwhelming. — shrimp tacos: uhh they were pretty damn amazing. We were contemplating on order more tacos after we finished everything but felt our tummies were pretty content and didn’t want to over indulge on a random Wednesday night. — lobster tail: mmmm buttery and tender — lobster roll: so fresh! Comes with fries and Cole slaw We each had two drinks. I tried their Moscow mule and mojito. The mojitos were better. I paid $ 35 including tip. So not toooo bad. Will def come back and I definitely recommend!

I first came here while visiting. Not to know that in over a year later I would be working less than a block away from this place. One of my Bosses brought me here. And I quickly realized where I was. I had been here. Ok it was night time then. Music playing and the club part of them was going on. But here I was again. I checked in and guess what? They give you a free shrimp taco for doing so. Nice! I ordered their lobster Poorboy with a side salad. Yes it did the trick. I have come back to this place many times for lunch. And they keep reminding me about happy hour there. The deals get better. But one thing you all need to know is that they are closed on Monday. So if you come here check in. YOu have to get the lobster. And for the prices get one to go.

So happy that my friends and I stumbled upon this place on New Year’s Day. The food is phenomenal — lobster is fresh and well-prepared and clam chowder is warm and delicious — but what made this place outstanding was the genuinely friendly, positive service. Thank you, Brian with an «I», for not being shellfish and starting 2016 on such clawsome note! And now another corny lobster joke: Lobster walks into a bar… Bartender says, why the beady eyes?

Shrimp taco check in is limit one per table boo. The tacos were wayyyy better than anything else. Clam chowder salty and flavorless. Below average. Worse than grocery store soup. No thanks. Warm lobster roll drenched in butter but not in a good way more oily and soggy. Looks way better than it tastes. Flavorless despite all that butter… How? I’m confused usually lots of butter=good. Service was okay. Need to fix the soda machine it was flat. All in all not going back wish I could give two and a half stars. Wasn’t gross but definitely not good.

Good but don’t love ! I would defiantly come back when I am craving a lobster roll but my Heart belongs to lobster me for the best lobster rolls. What I ordered: Pasadena lobster roll: standard, good amount of lobster. Not loving the mayo but I like the celery and stuff in it that adds a bit of a crunch Regular lobster roll: good but was missing a flavor. Lobster bisque: yum! But tasted a bit too buttery. Clam chowder: yum! But got a bit salty. Lobster Mac and cheese: so cheesy and good ! Sufficient Amount of lobster on top Shrimp taco(free with check in): this was actually my fav of the night :) Overall, everything was good and I would come back. It wasn’t that cheap of a meal but then we did eat a lot of lobster :) must try!

came here for lunch, but there’s definitely a nightclub feel to the place. I guess it more of a happy hour, late night spot. we were the only people eating lunch there although it’s right on Colorado. the lobster rolls are great. both the hot and cold were good. comes with fries and cole slaw. maybe a little spendy for lunch, even though it’s lobster. the portions weren’t huge but for lunch that’s okay.

Sigh* Food was great, service sucked balls!!! We ordered the warm lobster roll which was delicious! One guy managing the whole restaurant and when his friends came in to watch the game, forgot about getting any service. Everything here is good and at a decent price but again service could be better.

Pleasantly surprised with the outcome of our meal here. It’s always sort of discouraging after reading so many negative/mixed reviews on Unilocal not knowing what to expect though our experience turned out to be a positive one. Only negative feedback would be that the space is kinda sorta odd. Seems like it turns into a nightclub in the evenings? In any case… We tried the following: Warm Lobster Roll — Maine Lobster served warm with butter and lemon on a New England style roll. Served with a side of fries and coleslaw. Absolutely loved the simplicity of the roll, heavy on the butter flavor, didn’t even bother squeezing lemon on it since I felt it had enough flavor. The fries were good but scarce. You could count them in the image, about 8 individual slices. Coleslaw was quite delicious, very creamy. This might be the least expensive lobster roll I have yet come across going for $ 14 for the entire meal so I would recommend it if you’re a fan of this stuff. Don’t expect top notch quality as far as the lobster itself goes for that price but it does the trick for a quick fix. Pasadena Roll — Maine Lobster served chilled, tossed in mayo with celery, topped with lemon & chives on a New England style roll. We were expecting the roll to be doused in heavy mayo but it was surprisingly light and enjoyable. Lobster flavor still came through. Lobster Mac N’ Cheese made with Asiago & Cheddar Cheese with panko bread crumbs. Very cheesy and hearty. Huge portion which could be shared. Highly recommend ordering it. Lobster Tail — felt like it were deep fried hence the slightly rubbery texture though it wasn’t awful. Tasted just fine dipped in melted butter. Wish it were broiled instead. Alaskan Ale Battered Cod Taco was quite delicious as well for $ 4 a pop. Not a bad option if you avoid the lobster roll route. All in all, we were very pleased with our meal here and would return. Just wish the space felt more inviting.

— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - ESSENTIALTIPS&EXECUTIVESUMMARY: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – # Don’t want to pay for lot or metered parking? Find a public parking structure in Old Town Pasadena and walk over. You’ll get 2 hours free. # I ordered the cold Pasadena lobster roll and thought it was alright. I was expecting a lot more flavor from the lobster, but got more from the dressing instead. The lobster pieces themselves were a bit rough and chewy so that confirmed my «alright» rating, especially at the price of $ 14($ 15.26 total including tax). # Judging from my roll and other food pictures, the presentation of the lobster dishes are simple and casual. It resembles a fast casual seafood lunch experience like when you’re out at the wooden benches near the pier, munching on your rolls inch by inch. I think Lobster at Live Mixx is a decent spot to get your lobster claw action on, but I wouldn’t say it’s the best you’ll have. Yet it’s nice to have this kind of restaurant in Old Town Pasadena since it adds to the variety. — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – MYEXPERIENCE: — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – My quick assessment: the size of the roll was smaller than expected, the taste was a bit blander than anticipated and the fries were too fresh(not crispy from too much moisture in the potatoes). I still had a satisfying lunch in the end so if you feel like having lobster, drop on by.

Came here about an hour after they opened. Holiday weekend so not many people in OT Pasadena. No wait needed as we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. Server was friendly and gave us menus as we sat down. I came with a group of four and we split the Calamari Fries starter. 8 pieces made it perfect to split. Also comes with sliced fried pickles. Had a White Sangria to drink. At first I was worried because I tasted no alcohol but I realized it was towards the bottom, so I mixed it. Got my nice little buzz shortly afterwards. I ordered myself the Pasadena Roll, which is a Maine Lobster roll with more ingredients like mayo and celery. Loved the freshness of the lobster and the roll of bread it came with. Dish came with thick cut fries, ketchup, and some really good coleslaw. You would think it may be a little small but after eating it all, it was the right amount. I noticed while on my way to the restroom that the back quarter half of the restaurant is used as a dancefloor for the evening. Total cost for 4 entrees, 1 starter, and 4 alcoholic drinks came to around $ 95ish pre-tip. Our server was friendly and nice enough to recommend us dessert places in the area. I just kind of wish he checked up on us more often. We waited a bit just to get our check. I would come back when I’m in the area and have a craving for lobster.

The food is good and priced reasonably. Most people come for that word in it’s name, lobster. So if it’s your first time don’t be different by getting something that doesn’t have lobster. You’ll thank me. The place can get packed on nights and weekends because it turns into a lounge. Great for groups.

Came here for lunch today with my old roomie. I hadn’t gone to old Pasadena in a while, so it was nice to try a new restaurant in the area. There aren’t too many places around where I live that serve lobster rolls, so we decided to check this place out. I ordered the Pasadena roll and my friend ordered the lobster blt. The lobster roll was pretty small, but it came with yummy fries :) so we both got pretty full. For $ 14, it wasn’t the cheapest but wasn’t super expensive. The lobster was just ok, but I would come back again to try their other items. Check in on Unilocal and get a free(albeit small) shrimp taco, which was pretty tasty :) I think I’d rate this 3.5−4 stars just cuz it wasn’t the best lobster roll I’ve had, but it is decent and I would come back!

This is a unusual combination of a lounge and seafood. Most lounge I been too serve very typical burger, However this one is different. It got a lot of lobster dish as well as shrimp tacos. I came here for their happy hour which is one of the best in the area. Every day has happy hour which run from 3 to 6pm. I think their old happy hour is much better which more selection, the current one is been cut but still good value. We order the shrimps tacos, lobster tail, fries, and cocktail which was 2 for 1 sale ! The shrimp taco is a bargain for only $ 2 and you get one free when you check in via the Unilocal app ! The lobster tail was good butt I would rather get the lobster roll which also comes with fries. Their fries is very good, very crispy and is only $ 3. Get it ! The cocktail is a mix bag, they are a big strong but not well tasted. Overall this is a pretty good place for those hunting for a good happy hour in the area and want some seafood into the mix.
