I really love the atmosphere and the whole design. The looks are very contemporary. It’s a good place to go not just to drink and party but also watch a laker game. I did eat there and though the service was good the food was lackluster. I ordered the filet mignon kebab and it wasn’t that great and the rice was just rice. I will say it is a little on the small side.

This review is complicated to write, because Neomeze has been changing so much lately. Overall, I was a fan before, and continue to be a fan. Previously, I would have said one of my favorite things they serve is sweet potato fries. They really did that root justice in flavor, quantity, and presentation. VERYSADLY, the last time I went, my favorite source of beta-carotene was no longer on the menu. I’m seriously hoping they see this post and take this review as a plead to bring those delicious sticks back! Okay, now that that’s out there, I can comment on everything else… They have a pretty good selection of beer, with craft beer for the feisty, and regular old beer for people who like the basic brands. They also have sangria that I’m not a fan of, but others are. Their food is really good! A welcomed new addition to the menu is portobello fries, which I had never tried before, but LOVED! Their Indian-inspired pizza is great(if it’s on the menu still), and their burgers are gourmet and delicious! I think people just don’t know about this place, because it’s pretty empty usually, but one of my favorite spots in Old Town. The location is down a hallway in a loft area… It’s a bit off the beaten path, but NeoMeze is worth hunting down. C’mon, you know you have GPS in your phone. Just Unilocal it and follow the dot. :) One more very important thing: Happy Hour until 7:00PM! Woohoo!

I am thrilled to find a local spot that offers up a tasty selection of game! And a great selection of IPA’s. Finally, a place after my own heart. The atmosphere is great. I love the old school chairs, the lighting is warm and cozy, and the space is overall comfortable while chic. Tonight was rare weather for southern Cali, and I probably got a mellow take on the place, first time around. But it seemed like perfection with rain streaking the elongated windows, heaters keeping me toasty from above, Lakers on one screen, Nuggets on another.(Chose to eat in the bar area… laid back.) And then came the food. Oxtail and mashed potatoes with cippolini onions. Duck burger. Perfectly cooked and delicious. The polenta cake with kale and goat cheese and mushroom ragout… divine. And… I believe it was called Bubble & Scrimp? Asparagus, smoked salmon, and potatoes covered with a perfectly-cooked over-medium fried egg. For dessert, fried cinnamon coated doughy yumminess with chocolate dipping sauce. They have interesting cocktails and a great beer selection. I had Hercules Double IPA(bottle) and Racer 5IPA(draught). Definitely coming back to try the lamb burger, and everything else on the menu… as well as revisit that oxtail and duck burger. As I was leaving, a DJ came on playing great soul music… looking forward to returning. This is the real deal! It’s the food I’ve been craving, the beer I like to drink, in a setting I enjoy.

Came here with my date. because we were in the area.(Friday night) WOW, talk about guys that should join the cast of «Jersey shore». — Men with too much cologne! — Felt like I was in the Ed hardy store. No kidding. — People dance EVERYWHERE, even if there isn’t a dance floor. — NEVER coming back.

I must confess, I was teetering from giving this place a three or a four. I give it a three. Why so, you may ask? Step into my perspective… 1) Why would you have plates that don’t match your theme and that look like Olive Garden’s plates and that are all mixed matched in sizes? 2) Not too down with the butcher/parchment paper on the table. 3) Not sure about how I feel about them not having any nonalcoholic drinks(one of my BBFs did not was a cocktail). 4) They should be careful and state that their sweet potato fries are seasoned/flavored with freshly grated horseradish and garlic. They should really make a horseradish sauce instead of clumping it inside the seasoning and surprising their guests. Some may not like the potent flavor or may be allergic. 5) The macaroni and cheese needs some work. I would rethink using penne pasta in a macaroni and cheese recipe. NOTE: MACARONIANDCHEESEENTAILSAKAMACARONIPASTA being used. 6) Margaritas should be served in margarita glasses if you have a full bar available. On the other hand, however, they did… 1) Have really good and warm pita bread. The hummus was good. 2) The Spanakopita was tasty, but I did not see much feta cheese. 3) The service was wonderful. 4) The music was insanely awesome.

MUST try the Mediterranean nachos, shrimp kabob and rice pilaf, and greek salad! *pics posted here. But the real star of the menu is the lamb burger, with a sunny side egg on top. AMAZING! Happy hour every day 3 – 7, and all day Tuesdays and Sundays. Can have a $ 10 pitcher of beer and all the games on big screen TVs on Sundays. Great live music in the early evenings. It varies, but they have had 80s cover bands, rock bands, and Sundays they have Reggae, which will start back up again when the weather warms up. After that, in the evenings there is a SICK dj, Matt. Often times the percussionist plays along with the DJ for an awesome sound. The drinks are some of the best in Pasadena. Really inventive, unique cocktails with awesome bartenders.

Well this is my first review and since I was just there Saturday night I thought this would be appropriate. We got there late after the UCLA/USC game and the place was packed. We squeezed our way through the crowd to the bar. The bartenders were friendly and gave us fast service. Drinks were very good and welcomed especially after losing to SC. The atmosphere was alive and jumping. They even have a small dance floor. It was a great time and I can’t wait to get back there. I hope my Neomeze night life review was helpful for the Unilocal*rookie that I am.

The Happy Hour is amazing. They have a great selection of fruity cocktails. Although small, the appetizer and food specials menu had a cute selection of Mediterranean-inspired picks around $ 6. It’s much fancier than your typical happy hour menu. After reading the reviews, I ordered the mac n cheese. I loved their choice of Mediterranean cheeses. It was the most gourmet version I’ve had. Also great were the calamari with mango dip and the sliders. Depending on your preference, you can choose to sit by the bar, outside, or in the fine dining area. My friends and I sat by the bar and thoroughly enjoyed their live reggae band. One Downside: The service was not exceptional. They were understaffed and our table was felt like an abandoned child.

This is a great place to go if you have one of those coupons from , groupon, or Living Social. In my opinion, it is a little pricey for the amount of food you get in one dish. The food nevertheless is pretty good. We got the Mediterranean Grilled Pizza, and Falafel Pizza. This place has a great nightlife, good happy hour, and a GREAT atmosphere. I highly recommend this place if you and your friends are looking for a chill lounge/bar to go to in this area. It has good drinks with small siders.

Four enthusiastic stars for ANYplace that dedicates an entire Sunday to Reggae(a music genre the College BFF& I adore.) Their white wine sangria – $ 10 for the pitcher – is so sippable that the buzz unexpectedly creeps up on you. Giggly & swaying our heads with eyes half closed to the fluid beats, we were only brought back to reality because our $ 5 appetizers(calamari & tandoori chicken pizza) had arrived. NeoMeze’s motto is Eat Drink Lounge – instructions I’d like to follow on a weekly basis, especially at Happy Hour(5−7pm.)

This lounge is very cute especially the outdoor seating area. We had just left La Luna Negra and was in search for a full bar. This was perfect. It wasnt too crowded and it had a good lay back feel to it as you walk in. OMG their shots are friggin huge. They could’ve passed for a full drink themselves! Drinks were indeed stiff. Had my two drinks of greygoose and 7up plus our shots and we were totally enjoying the night. Perhaps a bit pricey but I rarely go out to bars so not sure if it was average. All of us were pretty tipsy walking out of there. Overall, it had a great atmosphere and our server was great. What else you want in a bar/lounge? I would definitely go back :)

I really enjoyed my visit to Neomeze. However, despite the impressive design and layout of the place(it really is a great place to have a few drinks in terms of décor and atmosphere), I feel that it lacked in a few areas. I liked the fact that they had live music on — in fact it was the sole reason that my girly and I entered the place — but the band were really lacking in terms of talent and choice of songs. On the other hand, I would always prefer that, to bland CD of chart music! The drinks were OK, but a lacking in the flair that you would expect for the price tag. The bar staff, although friendly, were a little slow in processing the drinks, even though the bar was far from busy. All in all, a decent place — worth a try.

So I say 3 ½. It has it’s pros and cons. Pros: No cover, you can hangout there if you’re not 21. They only check IDs at the bar. This place is quaint. Small, not much to it except a couple bars, seating here and there, mostly standing. It gets crazy packed. If you’re looking for a place to just hang and have a few drinks, this is your place. Nothing crazy, laid back. But on a great street for other bars to hit. The prices aren’t bad, the usu. I had a black and coke for about $ 9… and they are strong, which I can’t say for all places. The décor is very nice, has a dark loungy feeling. The music is good. Cons: Can you say hidden?! It’s impossible to spot it from a driving perspective. I suggest parking and the taking a walk to the place. There’s a sign but you can’t really see it and the club is down a alley. If you want to dance, don’t come. Some girls were dancing in the awkward spot in front of the DJ it was just weird. LOL… they were more of moving in one space back and forth.

I really don’t understand why people absolutely love this place. On a slow night, it’s loud music, semi– attentive bar tenders and surly bouncers. On a packed night, they add a cover at the door, it’s worse service at the bar. I’ve been here for bdays, the occasional date, and every time someone wants to go, I shake my head and wonder what they see in this place. I’m happy to leave it to the people willing to put up with a small over hyped venue.

Came here on a Thursday evening. The place was dead, yet it took the server over 30 minutes to attend to us and that was after we got up and asked to get service. Our food order took long, second round of drinks took longer! The server explained the antipasto platter to us, and got something totally different. Beer we asked for was out. Just a place with really really bad service. Décor is nice and if you’re there on a week night, its good to just sit outside and hang out. I must say the happy hour prices are reasonable. we got 2 rounds of drinks plus 5 dishes for 60 bucks. over all the food was ok. If you’re looking for a place to sit around and just talk to a friend for hours then this is the place for you. Cause that’s how long they take to get around to you… hours!

This place was pretty awesome some great live music, beers were between $ 5-$ 7 not too bad for the scene and live music, they had 2 bars, but only one was opened, it was early and a little early though. They also had wine and a cocktail menu, all mixed drinks were over $ 10. They had some kick ass old school cartoon on, which I found to be very amusing. The waitress was very friendly and cool about bringing out lots of water for our party. The outside patio seemed to be a lot more popping with couches tables and heaters. If you like live music and and drinks in Pasadena check this place out.

Waw, the drinks were fabulous(half price if you go between 5−7pm weekdays), and oh boy did we indulge in cocktails! The food was amazing as well. Their burger and fries were over the top. Service was outstanding and very attentive. If you want some romantic peace and quiet on the couch, do go there before 7pm…

Some friends of mine wanted to get some wine and lounge so we checked out this place. It’s kinda hidden, you have to go through a small hallway to get to the actual restraunt. First impressions of the decorations, I was in love. Everything looked so sleek and modern and matched the ambience perfectly. There’s 2 main rooms, outdoor patio, and a downstairs room. Each room with it’s own DJ playing different genre of music. I got the sweet potato fries and they were pretty amazing, I loved it haha. As for wine I got the Grand Ardesh, Goodnight(not pronounced how it’s spelled haha), and my favorite stella. The waitresses are pretty hot and are dressed pretty sexy. I really loved the atmosphere. Toward midnight, people start coming in for the dance club and it looked pretty exciting. I would come here again and stay to dance next time. Crowd was more 21 – 35 year olds. Really elegant and classy. They specialize in house and electro music and played a really nice variety.

«Let me tell you something… this is where people from Hollywood come on Friday nights when they want DIRTYHOOKUPS,» said our hero’s friend, who lived a couple of blocks away from Colorado Blvd. «Oh yeah? How dirty?» «Really DIRTY.» NeoMeze is nested at the end of an alley off of Colorado Blvd, but the loud music is a dead giveaway that it’s a happening club. After a short line and a $ 5 cover for everyone in our hero’s party, regardless of whether they were girls or guys, they were in. «Dirty» could be a very good way to describe most of the guys here. When our hero walked in wearing a collared shirt and a jacket, he was pretty much 3 levels of class above every other dude at the bar(who were mainly in T-shirts and sneakers). Crowd aside though, the beats here are pretty sick when accompanied with live drumming and the music selection was highly danceable. It was probably a good idea to bail by midnight because by 1:30AM it’s pretty much all dudes. Dirty hookups happen fast. PROS: — 2 percussionists in addition to a live DJ provided some really great music. Music ranged from hip-hip to salsa and lively all around. — Nice modern décor and a good split between the dance floor and bar area. CONS: — Drinks are a bit pricey at $ 10+ a pop. — The crowd was generally a bit dirty.
