True experts in preserving the architectural integrity of an older home. Not cheap, but authentic pieces, great selection of hardware and extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful.

Great find! Affable, knowledgeable and very helpful. I was searching for various parliament hinges and crystal door knobs to match the ones in my old home. They had everything I was looking for(plus other items that caught my eye). Will be returning to have another look when time permits. Thank you for everything!

Another great place to shop for authentic, vintage house parts and especially hard to find parts. The parts we buy here we use to restore period homes throughout southern California. Everyone in this business should be supportive and encourage each other, please come and check them out. Their prices can seem a little high, but vintage materials add immeasurably to the value of a vintage home. We have a similar business that we have had for over 35 years in Anaheim, and working with old houses and old house people is certainly a labor of love. Please don’t compare prices with cheap imitations like you would find at Home Depot and the like, happy hunting, John Armstrong, Armstrongs Antique Lighting and Plumbing.

Doors! I’m a big fan of buying old doors and and making furniture form them, mainly doors. This place has the most organized selection of doors I’ve ever seen. Along with a gigantic selection of very unique items the people there are super nice. If your looking for cool old stuff, it’s worth your time to give this place a look.

Ok this is how it goes… My husband and I love the rustic look. We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen, laundry room, and the last of our 2 bathrooms. We were in need of old windows to use as an accent on the large brick wall that we are building for the kitchen. We decided to search the web for«old windows» and came across this wonderful place that sells antique and rustic design elements for both home and office remodels. We went to check the place out and were greeted by Gayle, the owner. She was beyond accommodating. She walked us through her shop with so much energy, information, and inventory. We did not know which one of the windows would work for our house. Gayle allowed us to take home 4 different windows without charge so we can decide which one of them we like best. We fell in love with the perfect model and returned the others to her, hassle free. We really appreciate her customer service and impeccable people skills. Were looking forward to working with the whole team again in the future and referring them to our friends. Thank you for everything, Gayle!

Prices might seem high on the tag but they offer discounts. We went in looking for something they didn’t carry, not sure what the pretty blonde lady’s name was, but she was kind enough to refer us to where we could source what we were looking for. She was nice enough to look up the address and store hours for us. They’ve got a nice, organized store to look through and it doesn’t smell bad like a lot of other stores do. A good place to check on periodically for that one treasure you might be missing.

A fantastic resource for restoration of an older home or just to add character to any room or project. There’s always something interesting to discover, and prices are reasonable. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask and they may have it in their back area or be able to track it down for you. The owners are incredibly nice and knowledgeable and I never leave empty-handed.

Luckily Pasadena Architectural Salvage is located on Foothill Blvd., an area I frequent several times a week. For me, this is not a destination kind of shopping experience. Shoppers will travel a distance to the Rose Bowl or PCC Flea Markets. I do believe, though, that if you happen to be restoring a house PAS is a place you might consider adding to your list of «places to check out». Recently when I was working on 2 bathrooms in a house from 1960, I was searching for eclectic robe hooks. After checking out the Internet and the catalogues for a style and price baseline, when at PAS I noticed a handful of hooks, the right scale and look for the spaces. Happily, I purchased them, and the hooks look like they’ve always been part of the house due to the skillful work of my carpenter.

It’s the best place to go if you are seriously trying to restore your 1910’s, 20’s, or 30’s house in LA. They have great local salvage, and you can find multiple missing parts such as heat registers, door hinges, doorknobs, and window latches, all efficiently organized. You can take a part from your house, and they will try to match it if you ask them. A lot of stuff seems to be in the back somewhere. This week I got twelve matching wrought iron curtain rod finials from the 1920’s. I found a porch light fixture that’s a perfect match for one that was missing. It’s especially great if your house is Spanish Revival. A swell place, and cheaper than Liz’s…

l love how organized this location is. they have some amazing pieces! but the other day I went to get some hooks for a project and they were very overpriced compared to finding them else where. but I was there and had already spent time picking them out so I bought them… but Ive seen them half the price everywhere else and no, they are not hard to find as Gayle said to justify her pricing.

A great resource, whether you know what you’re looking for or not, and really nice people to boot. Gayle, the owner, is terrific.

I like the effort, BUTDON’T GO. The selection is horrendous and the staff appears half drunk & smells bad(I mean real bad). Don’t waste your time here. Better off searching the recycle bin at HD, or better yet try Liz’s or the Rose Bowl Swap Meet, but this place is just a sad empty shell, unless you count the buffoons that run the place.

Better organized and more user-freindly than Santa Fe, this salvage store features everything from cast-iron tubs to giant stained-glass windows. The selection is impressive, even in terms of its books for sale. Definitely a must for restoration projects with Spanish and Craftsman Bungalows.

Walking inside this place is like stepping back into time. From glass doorknobs, to old hardwood doors… lovely stained glass windows… they say everything here is pre 1930 which means for some pretty cool stuff. Adding a bathroom and found this amazing stained glass window we are going to have converted into a window we can open and use. They also buy old cool stuff, again they prefer pre 1930.

The old for the new and… oh well, you just have the right eye to come up with something good out of these overly priced«found objecs». Not everyone want sto be a Cornell but whooooooooooooooo cares. Its your house and you’ll do as you darn pleased! I love this infusion of old object with the new so happy salvaging…

Friendliest salvage yard. They came from Texas and set up shop on San Gabriel Blvd. just south of Colorado. A great selection of antique hardware, salvaged doors, fixtures, sinks, etc. Like every other antique store prices are high. They also carry a little bit of furniture and stained glass. Bungalow enthusiasts should definitely visit.
