I was fortunate enough to get Yoyo for my first experience at Pasadena Health Center. She was friendly, warm and professional. I immediately felt comfortable, and trusted her hands. Yoyo checked in with me from time to time to see if the pressure felt good, whether I needed more or less. She has a healing presence that can be felt the minute you walk in. I did a 1 hour massage and left feeling relaxed and centered. I intend to come back monthly, it was that good.

Jannie was so good that I extended my 60 minute/​$ 50 massage to a 90 minute/​$ 80 massage after the first 60 minutes. Walking on my back, she was more talented with her toes and feet than the majority of massage therapists who have used their hands and arms to work on me. Having just gotten off a 14 hour flight from Australia, I really needed some deep tissue work and Jannie totally delivered. She mixed in some assisted stretching that maximized the effectiveness of the punching on my legs.
As others have said, the place looks questionable from the outside but is lovely inside. They let me wait indoors after closing time for my ride to come pick me up, which was nice.

Great legitimate place to get a massage in Pasadena. 60 minutes $ 50 and worth it. The massages here aren’t Swedish but deep tissue where you get a lot of pressure by being stepped on, elbowed, kneed… but a massage buff like me can’t have it any other way :-)
From the outside it looks very plain but inside it’s very clean and with comfy massage tables. There is usually two persons working here, and you can likely just walk-​in but call just in case. And they take credit cards… which is nice.

Yoyo (?) walked on my back and I asked for one more time. I skipped oil, I just asked for more of her walking. There are not that many massage places that do not leave you painful after deep-​tissue massage. My stressed body actually felt better after yoyo’s deep tissue, right away.
After trying twice for 90min with Yoyo, I am sold.
FYI: «hole-​in-​the-​wall» appearance. My first time, I wondered what kind of massage is going on inside. But I went in since my friend assured me. No worries, everything looks legit and clean to me.
Ah, price, $ 55 for 60min and $ 80 for 90 min or something close to that.

Best massage in Pasadena. My wife and I have been going for many years. All the masseuses are skillful (though I do have my favorites) and have no problems with anything from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. Many different styles and they are very kind people. Give this place a try… you will glide out totally relaxed. I am ruined on other spa’s now.
