Pasadena Toastmasters Club 356 the Communicators

There are many aspects of Toastmasters, and specifically this club, that contribute to my personal and professional growth. Group members are afforded opportunities to speak in a low-​pressure, supportive environment. I am able to do this at my own pace and in different areas (e.g., speech, leadership, support, and collaboration).
This specific club works well for me on many levels. The club meets on Tuesdays, twice a month at 7 P.M., a day and time that works well with my schedule. The club members are diverse (e.g., different age groups, backgrounds, and ethnicities). However, they share the commonality of being kind, caring and enthusiastic about speaking and helping others. There are always lots of laughs, and lots of collaboration.
I have been a member for nine months…

I have visited several other Toastmasters clubs and this one by far is my favorite. The environment is welcoming and supportive… in such a relatively short amount of time of participation I have decreased my fear of public speaking and have increased my communication and leadership skills. I hope others looking to do the same will consider dropping by and seeing for themselves the benefits of participating in this Toastmasters club!
