I haven’t been to Roscoe’s in years! I forgot how good their waffles were. The perfect size and amount. The chicken was good, but not as good as I remembered. I wish it was a little more juicy. Customer service was good, as well.

Yummy & fun to eat! Don’t expect a huge variety of food other than chicken and waffles — honestly, though, that’s enough for me! The last time I came here I got the chicken southern style. It was so deeply fried that I also ate the bones. The waffles are really great, and one order makes me beyond full. I regret not getting the gravy and biscuits though, I remember liking them a previous time. Parking is horrid but on busy days, I recommend just waiting in the lot for people to leave because there weren’t any nearby spots on the street for me. Service was super kind.

How can anyone have oatmeal and granola and kale juice and all that healthy stuff when you can have chicken and waffles? My sister and I came here for lunch the other day and were seated within 5 minutes. We decided to split the #2 Scoes, a biscuit with gravy, and grits. As mentioned by many other reviewers, their chicken and waffles are hella amazing. Something about the combination of fried chicken, soft and chewy waffles, gravy, syrup, and hot sauce really hits the spot. For the price, the portions are on the small side, but still enough to fill you up. The biscuit was so fluffy and paired perfectly with the gravy, but I find it odd that the gravy costs more than the biscuit itself. The reason I can’t give 5 stars is the grits. They were flavorless, and the whipped butter actually made it taste worse. I felt a bit nauseous after eating it, and my sister and I couldn’t bring ourselves to finish it. So there’s $ 4 I wish I could have back. Despite the steep price and the disappointing grits, I still really enjoyed eating here and would come back for the chicken and waffles.

The famous roscoe’s. Ill go right in! Ordered the half chicken, with a waffle, side of Mac n cheese, greens, yams, and cornbread. Also ordered the cranberry lemonade. The chicken was fried to perfection and the Mac n cheese was delish, greens were good and yams were excellent without being to sweet. The only things that were just ok were the waffle and the cornbread. The waffle was a bit too soft for me and the cornbread was dry. Everything else was definitely excellent. They give you big portions, excellent service as well. Our waitress was one of the best! I came with a group of 6 and we spent around $ 80-$ 85 and everyone was stuffed. Definitely would recommend and they get my endorsement

Dear Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles, I love you like XO. Roscoe’s is the absolute best if you happen to be craving fried chicken and waffles. Every time I come here, it’s a freaking feast and rightfully so. You don’t come here to eat sensibly so if you do, please excuse yourself and grab a bag of mixed greens at the nearest Trader Joe’s instead. Never a bad experience at this location. Our servers have consistently been sweet and attentive despite how busy they get. Giblets! Oh my goodness. So bad but so good. I can’t go to Roscoe’s too often because of those. An order is perfect for sharing amongst a table. I recommend ordering a side of gravy to go with the giblets. Most of the time, I opt for the Obama Special which comes with a waffle and 3 wings. Everyone has their own preference as to how they eat their chicken and waffles. Personally, I like to dip both in syrup and then dunk it in Red Rooster Sauce. If you want more fried chicken with your waffle, go for the Herb’s Special or Scoe’s. I find the chicken breast quite dry at times so I learned my lesson and I now tend to go for thighs or wings. House Combo #21 //It comes with red beans, rice, cornbread and your choice of chicken. Big serving of rice and beans. Perfect if you’re more into savoury and don’t feel like having waffles with your chicken. Mac & Cheese here is pretty standard. Also, their corn bread is my favourite. Basically, you can’t go wrong with any of their sides. Take advantage of the Daily Special. Way cheaper than the meals on their menu! Two chicken thighs, rice with gravy, and a biscuit for $ 6? SCORE. They have their own parking lot and we’ve never had trouble looking for a spot but then again, we never go during traditional lunch or dinner hours. Also, if you’re coming with a group of friends, be wary that they don’t split checks! So bring cash or just get your VenMo on.
