Ohmyyygod! Best sandwich I have EVER had! I didn’t think much of it at first but one taste and it made me sooo happy for the rest of the day, oh the simple pleasures. I had the chicken salad sandwich btw and the piña colada smoothie is just perfect.

New ownership, but still has excellent sandwiches. This was one of my favorite places in pasadena to come for a sandwich. I got a little worried when I saw that the ownership had changed but was comforted by knowing it was still Korean owned, I think, as the Koreans don’t mess around when it comes to food. I had the pastrami sandwich, which was always my favorite here. It’s completely different now as its a pastrami and cold slaw but just as good, maybe even better, than the previous owners. The prices have gone up a bit and they probably need more less expensive alternatives being that this a college campus sandwich shop. Custer services is great, very friendly. Overall definitely a place to. Check out.

The meat used in my sandwhich was nuked before being served… maybe I exepected too much? Either way it was a bit offputing.

This little place is located right next to PCC and across from Carl’s Jr. Its a little place that can be easy to miss if you’re not looking at it. Its a great place to go to fill your quick sandwich cravings. Its a small little store that makes your food when you order. The lady who runs that place is always nice and helpful if deciding what kind of sandwich you like. Their sandwiches range from toasted bread slices to baguettes. I love eating here once in a while and have tired all the Chapters, which I recommend getting. What makes their sandwiches different is that they add coleslaw. Freshly made coleslaw that goes well with your toasted bread makes it taste delicious. Though prices are a little higher than other sandwich places, the food is delicious along with friendly employees. If you ever want a place to relax and eat this is the place to go. Also they have fast internet for those of you who want a place to sit down and use your devices.

I’ve been eyeing this place since September and I finally tried it two days ago! With the help of past reviews, I ordered a Chapter 1 and omg, it was so good. The two ladies were really nice and polite ~ kind of like mother figures :3 I made my friends come with me and they settled down with more Chapter 1s. Unfortunately they forgot to make one of my friend’s sandwich but they were very apologetic and my friend got some free chips. :) Definitely coming back to try their other chapters ^^ And patbingsoo ! :)

The woman who runs this place couldn’t be nicer! As a creature of habit, I order the regular size«Chapter 1» sandwich everytime and have never been disappointed by it. Fantastic flavor, toasted bread, pastrami, coleslaw and dressing — mm… mmm!!! It’s great for ordering a quick bite to eat and doesn’t break the bank! Amongst all the unhealthy options that surrounds PCC, this is a great, hole-in-the-wall place! Interior décor and style could use an upgrade, but who cares when the food’s so good & the price so right?

A good sandwich place right across the street from school? Count me in! I skipped a chapter and jumped right to Chapter 2 – Toasted bread, cole slaw and roast beef. I hadn’t had roast beef with cole slaw before, but it sounded like an interesting combination. The sandwich was delicious! It came in a warm baguette with sweet sesame seeds on top, fresh from the oven. Although the roast beef was really moist, almost to the point of being soggy, it went well with cole slaw. Crispy, tender, creamy, sweet, salty, moist and dry. It’s not that often you get a mixture of these sensations in your mouth, but that’s exactly how I would describe their Chapter 2 as. Will I be getting it again? Most definitely. They warned me that a brewed coffee would take a long time to make. I should have just heeded their warning and got a different drink. It took 30 minutes for the coffee to finally finish brewing. The coffee was strong, and they have a variety of add-ins on the table to the side of the counter. For only a $ 1.50, it was also dirt cheap, but when it comes to waiting for coffee, my patience runs thin, which is why I’m probably not going to order the coffee here next time. Stick to Starbucks for coffee! So what’s wrong with coming here to study? Disregarding the fact that their coffee takes forever to make(I can’t stay awake without caffeine), the lighting is poor and the place is kind of noisy. I tried accessing their internet, but their WiFi wasn’t working during my visit. The other people on their laptops had the same problem and were reading their books instead. The place is quaint and comfortable and all, but it’s not my type of study environment. The lady at the register was very nice and patient, and both of the workers here were very polite and said goodbye to all of their customers as they left. I’m not so sure about coming here to study, but I will definitely be frequently coming to Sandwich Story for lunch since it’s so close to campus and their sandwiches are very affordable.

I would NOT go back. Why? 1. the sandwich was TINYASHELL. I know i ordered a «small» but I didn’t think a small would really be just one of those regular breads such as the«Van de Kamp»(cheap bread brand). I ordered a BLT which came out to be 3 slices of bacon, 1 slice of tomato and a small lettuce. There was absolutely nothing speical about it. 2. I ordered an iced coffee which was really BLAH and they had NO milk or half & half!!! I was forced to use those vanilla creamers and I didn’t want a flavored coffee! My total for a crappy coffee and a crappy tiny sandwich was $ 7.00!!! I should have just went to SUBWAY.

Stopped by here on my way out from school. I had a turkey sandwich on wheat, picked up a bag of chips from the boxes of chips on the counter, and got myself a can of soda. The sandwich was good, the ingredients were fresh. The only things I didn’t really like was that I ordered the sandwich on toasted bread, and it wasn’t toasted(I wasn’t offered the option and I feel like I should have). Also, when I got a can of soda, I asked for a cup of ice and she said she didn’t have any. They were stacked next to her. idk if that was inventory that shouldn’t have been touched… but come on now. You guys sell beverages. The sandwich was good, but nothing incredible. Then again how incredible can you get with turkey? TRYIT.

When you walk in you notice that it has a very small area. I came on a Thursday around noon and it wasn’t too packed but with a reasonable amount of people. The hole-in-the-wall kinda feel to it. I ordered a large chapter 1, a pastrami and coleslaw sandwich. It is a must try, the bread was toasted but not crunchy and the meat was warm and the coleslaw cold. delicious! It came out to around $ 7 something for the large which seemed like a reasonable price. not cheap, not expensive, but a reasonable price. They also have regular sized ones for around a dollar cheaper.(If I recall regular is 8 in. and large 10 in.) The ladies behind the counter were very nice and casual and said goodbye to people as they were leaving. It is a very chill atmosphere with good sandwiches in a not so crowded place, and I will be returning soon!

At first my friend introduced me to this place saying how it is like the American Subway but better. He knows i love to eat sandwiches so i went there and we ordered the Chapter 1 which was the pastrami and coleslaw. Mmmmmmm it was soo good the combination of oven roasted pastrami and sourdough baguette-ish and the chilly coleslaw with thousand island-ish dressing was just melted in my mouth. Ahhh i cannot believe this place is not more crowded! I love this place! and for those who likes spicy, tell them to add the spicy sauce and it will add a little Zinggg! Owners are nice, price is pretty reasonable for how much is served. Try to get the large and share with a friend or alone if you’re a big eater. The place is a little small but i like the back counter, a little dark but has a nice ambience. :D im so craving for it now…

Walked in early morning, you know at like 9:30am, and it felt like I stumbled into Santa’s workshop, well, if he decided to give everyone sandwiches for Christmas =P Got the Chapter IV, cream cheese, turkey and cranberry sauce on your choice of bread. It… was…kind of disgusting o. O My bad, should’ve gone with the one that had the stuffing instead of cream cheese. I don’t know, their turkey just seemed like the regular stuff you buy from the supermarket that’s been encased in a brine. And everything else was whatever. Also got an ice blended green tea and I thought it was much too sweet. The matcha taste was pretty good but it really was too sweet. I might have to come back and try a different sandwhich. The pictures of the sandwiches in baguettes look tasty =d

Service: check Ambiance: check Cleanliness: check Food: could’ve been better. i got a chapter 1– pastrami & cole slaw sandwich. the pastrami was good but the cole slaw was drenched in thousand island-like dressing. it was VERY heavy. I actually took off one side of the bread because i didn’t order a «thousand island sandwich». IF i ever go back, I’ll definitely ask for easy dressing.

Everything here was soo good! i have to say that the club sanswich i got was fantastic ive never had a club that had sliced eggs and cucumbers in it so it was a really nice change! I panini that my friend go was perfect as well! and the egg sandwich was good too they didnt over load it with mayonaise which made it ever better! Besides it being packed with college students, the food is great!

I seriously LOVE this place! Usually I’m not that big of a fan of sandwiches, but they make some pretty amazing sandwiches here! Plus, the main sandwiches have such cute names to match the name of the shop — Chapter 1/Chapter2/etc. sandwiches for Sandwich Story(: One reason why I usually hate eating sandwiches is because the bread never just breaks off perfectly in my mouth — cough baguettes cough — or if it does, it’d take a lot of effort and feel like I’m yanking my teeth out. The bread here is always soft and just perfect! I’ve only had Chapter 1 and 2 and those come out warm and are just to die for. I’m hungry now just thinking of them): Thank goodness they’re right across the street from school: D

To be honest, the sandwich was good, but it’s not worth $ 4 for a sandwich I could have replicated at home. I won’t deny that it was delicious but still, wasn’t worth it. We did get a deal though, since it was buy 2 get 1 cold sandwich free. My friend and I ordered a blended mocha, but we ended up getting a monkey mocha, which we didn’t mind though. I actually realllyyy enjoyed that. It’s basically mocha, but with banana in it. It was rather delicious! Useful information, they take card, but with a minimum purchase of $ 5. There is a cute little bathroom that is very neat and tidy(PLUS). Parking is on the street, there is a rush every so often since it’s right across the street from PCC.

Stumbled across this quaint little sandwich shop with the bf one day during our lunch break. Can I just say that I’m infatuated? It’s not fair though, because I love all things Korean(: The two ladies that ran the place were super friendly, and they seemed to have a few regulars that they addressed by name, hi and bye, etc. I had a Roast Beef and added avocado in it. It was great. These sandwiches aren’t subway style — they’re mom-packed-you-lunch-and-even-cut-them-into-triangles-style. I loved it :’) BF ordered Tuna Bacon, which grossed me out because I despise tuna. Buy two and get one free! So we decided to try a different tuna sandwich; my suggestion and for the life of me, I can’t remember why. Note to self: I still don’t like tuna. I wanna come back and try a shaved ice next time, yaaay!

Tucked away in the corner of Harness and Colorado, is a little sandwich shop called«Sandwich Story». It was a little unassuming place that yelled out«Hey PCC kids, come eat here and I’ll tell you a little story about sandwiches». Although I wasn’t a PCC student, it did call out my name… my lone name and no one else because everyone was gone on this Friday afternoon but me. «Tell me all about your sandwiches» I said. I stepped into their door and found 2 friendly(Korean? only bc one of their menu items included«Seoul bread») owners/workers who introduced me to all their sandwich options. «Which one is the most popular?» I said «The chapter’s…Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, and Chapter 4». The owner said. So I read to see what were the ingredients… Chapter 1… pastrami and coleslaw, Chapter 2. turkey, stuffing and cranberry, Chapter 3… turkey something and something. Since I have a short attention span, and like to start from the beginning, I decided to start with Chapter 1. Chapter 1 sandwich came out in a nice toasted sesame bun filled with lean cuts of warm pastrami and juicy coleslaw made of cabbage, carrots, and mayonaise. As I took a bite into the chapter, I had page-turning salty and slightly sweet and slighty crunchy(from the toasted bread) pleasant bites of the story. The coleslaw had just the right sweetness and mayonaise-ness to it that compliments, but doesn’t overempower the pastrami. Like any good story, this sandwich had it’s surprises and its«unexpectations». «Surprise! pastrami and coleslaw are meant to be together!» the wise sandwich said. «Pastrami and other sandwich meats alike can live in union with other vegetables besides lettuce and tomatoes.» And so ended Chapter 1… the romance of pastrami, coleslaw, and the happy eater lived happily ever after. Next will be Chapter 2.
