My mom started going to this place as they were offering her good discounts on dye and cuts. Today she came and was totally disrespected by the staff. Just because my mom is old the lady started the dye and the a loud said she had bugs in her hair and had to stop working on her. My mom had nothing in her hair. Today being a lazy Saturday she had a sweater and pants that had some food crumbs on it, nothing a lint brush wouldn’t get off. My mom was extremely worried that she may actually have lice. I went through her hair and there was a bit of dandruff but no lice or lice egg. I’m a kindergarten teacher and I see lice all the time in my job, she didn’t have anything.
The woman has changed prices on her depending on if her boss was there, and maybe she was afraid that it she was going to be exposed for giving her a discount rate in the past.
But make an older lady feel like crap and even worry that she might have her hair infested that just not nice.

This place has improved with ease of making appointments as well as salon service offerings. They have quality packages at excellent price points for brazilians and Dermalogica age smart facials. Jana is amazing and I am so glad they acquired her as their aesthetician. Highly recommend the facials for casual and quick detox/​decongesting of pollutants and radicals. I used to do facials at Soleil Salon in downtown LA but comparatively, this place is more effective.

This place is my absolute favorite! Been here for a few haircuts some deep conditionings and trims. Always a great experience.
IlFredo does an amazing job. He gives honest and helpful advice about styles and looks. Every time my hair looks GOOD. Hes got mad skills with a blow dryer and does great with styling curly hair. People always compliment my hair. So thankful for a good hair salon with good products and good people because I’ve had horrible experiences in the past. This place is great and is very trustworthy. Plus it’s super trendy and has local art inside. Pretty fun. I highly recommend!

I purchased a groupon for Brazilian wax and Jana was helping me with it. It is my first time and Jana was very professional. She is nice and easy going. We did the whole process very quick and I highly recommend Jana! You also get 20% off for next facial too.

Love this place! We’ve been regulars for about 3 years with Leslie. Both my husband and I love the staff (drew & Nina) and it’s never a dull moment. I always feel gorgeous after a session.

I went here last minute looking for a 50s style hairdo for a concert I was attending. I wish I could remember the stylist’s name, I think it was Megan. I have difficult and long hair, which makes victory rolls and barrel curls difficult, but she did an amazing job. This is the place that I will be going back to for styles and cuts!

Other than my 5 star review on ⁰⁸⁄₂₅ this is a long over due one since I got my hair done.
Mandy is amazing she listened to my concerns gave me her opinions and really took her time and made sure every step was right. My hair came out amazing more than I expected which was already high to begin with…

This salon is truly our family’s go to salon. Our happy place. More than just a hair studio. It’s the hippest salon in town with the friendliest people that make us feel like family. Everytime I come in or call in am always greeted with a warm smile by Drew! Love you guys.

I used to come here for Angie, who did waxing. I purchased a deal package for waxing, but since Angie was leaving she asked the owner, Tina, if I could use it for other things like haircuts and I was told that was fine. Ever since then, I have been using it for haircuts with Angel (who is the best!) I would say I have used it for 3 haircuts and it has been recorded on my file.
I called on Monday (Memorial Day) and the shop was closed so I left a message. I never received a call back. How do you not check your messages after a holiday?
I called today to make an appointment for a haircut with Angel and the owner, Tina, tells me that I am not allowed to use the credit I have left for haircuts. I explained to her that I was allowed, BY HER, that I could use it for haircuts. She says «I did not remember that and I did not honor that. I will let you use it for a haircut this time with Angel but after that you have to use the credit to get waxing. You can transfer the remaining balance to someone else if you want.»
What doesn’t make sense is that she looked up my file and she saw that I have been using it for haircuts, not waxing, since Angie left.
I have literally given you my money already so why does it matter where it goes to? She went on to explain that it’s «policy» but, seriously lady, if a client has been allowed to use the money THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU at your shop as they see fit and have been given permission to do so BY YOU I think revoking that from them is a horrible way to maintain customer loyalty. After my credit has been used up I will no longer be returning to this shop and that is solely based on the inflexible owner.
If Tina answers the phone, hang up and try later to talk to more accommodating staff.

I bought a groupon for makeup. I had the makeup done for a special event. I had never had my makeup professionally done before. It was a great experience. The makeup artist asked a lot of question about my clothes and the event. I wanted a natural look. I looked great in all the pics that were taken.
I am so glad I did it. I would do it again. It did take over an hour to get done. I only bring this up so that you plan accordingly for your special makeup day.

Great atmosphere and really nice people. Came In today to have my nieces hair and make-​up done for prom they did an amazing job. looking forward to coming back to have my hair cut and styled…

Wow! Great experience! Had been under time pressure since I was out of town for a memorial service up in Sacramento, to arrive on Saturday at 6pm (Burbank airport), head to the Factory to get there by 630pm (I did!) and get made up to get downtown to the Think Tank for the Victory Fashion Show event sponsored by my pal Dame Lady Sandra Costa.
Well, Lea did a wonderful job with my make up. It was elegant glamour for the Fashion Show tonight and she delivered. We had a great conversation and we’re instant sisters! Yay!
Thus Five Stars for very accommodating. No RFRA issues here! Lol. Nice venue, great staff and I was able to change for my event without any trouble. I’d go back in a flash and highly recommend their services. I did use a groupon which was great for a make over!

Curly girls, go see Ilfredo and he will trim and shape your hair dry. I left feeling fresh and my hair is so healthy again!
Drew is also an amazing makeup artist, my go-​to for special events and photo shoots. I haven’t worked with anyone else yet, but everyone I’ve met at the Factory Salon has been so nice, I’m sure I’ll be back again soon.

I went in for a wax today and was going on the positive Unilocal and groupon reviews, but left very disappointed. The girl who did my wax was very friendly and talkative but used extremely hot wax which burned me a little in one area, left random hairs and bruised me in two places. She did huge sections at a time and seemed to be trying to get it done as fast as possible. Will not be returning.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Ms. Fierce also known as Michael, she transformed me into a drabbed, tangled, messy asian girl into Kim Kardashian’s distant asian counsin! She was fabulous in all ways. I can’t say enough great things about her, we connected on a whole other level after finding out our astrological signs. Me being a scorpio and her being a Cancer we meshed on a whole other level, the heavens sent me to go to the Factory to meet her. I had to go to a man friend’s company party and she helped me look like a high end escort — even charlie sheen would be jealous! Ms. Fierce was meticulous and she made sure my contour came out, I even took a picture where I looked like Simba from the Lion King, but when she blended and sculpted my face in the end, I couldn’t even recognize myself.
The wonders of makeup and Ms. Fierce has the talent and eye to make you shine for any event! I had the Groupon and they were able to honor it without any hestitation. I plan to go back to see her and even do drinks and appetizers with her because she’s soooo much fun! my gosh so full of energy and positivity.

Long overdue. I flew in last weekend on a Friday from Seattle for an event on Saturday. In my hotel Friday afternoon I decided I needed to get my makeup done for the event next day. Looked thru Groupon real quick and some of the places looked a bit scary then I found these guys. Called them up and asked if they had anything open the next day for makeup and they gave me some times. Told them I would try and figure out logistics and call them right back. Well it ended up being two hours later and got voicemail so started panicking. Luckily for me the said I could text them and I did so. They replied back within 30 min confirming the appointment for next day.
Well day off I decided I needed to get my hair done too and texted them and voila they said no problem and accommodated me. I was a bit scared like how are they so open with their schedule? But when I arrived there I was greeted by a hip atmosphere, a dj spinning music, a full salon with customers.
Angel did my hair first and asked me what I was wearing and gave me some options. Right before she was done with my hair fierce aka Michael stole me to start on my makeup. He worked with me the entire time and was accommodating when I asked him for airbrush foundation (ALWAYS GET AIRBRUSH!!) As he was doing it the other makeup artist (who was hot!) kept walking by and saying how great it looked. I was so nervous to see the final product but when he showed me never in my wildest dreams could I imagine what I saw. He transformed me and it was a mix of soft, sexy, seductive and truthfully I have NEVER looked and felt so amazing. I have had many artists do my makeup in Seattle but this was something else (for half the price cause of the groupon)
Angel finished my hair after that and styled it to perfection.
The salon was 30 min away from my hotel and 30 min away from venue so I just brought all my stuff with me. They let me use their bathroom to get ready and hung around to see the final look.
If you ever need hair/​makeup done this place is worth the price and driver. They are friendly and great eye candy there! I posted pics on the page as well so you can see my transformation. Black dress dated October 11^th 2014.
