The food here is pretty good, cheap, and their employees are nice. The only problem I have with this place is service. It takes them a long time to finish your order.

The phở is really good for a delivery place. I loved the summer rolls tasted really fresh and were delicious. We love his place!

Meh Barn Mi was not authentic at all. I ordered online and apparently they don’t check their orders so we waited for new orders. So call to confirm if you order. They missed an item but then had someone rectify it right away so service is good. Phở was good, pork spring rolls were good. It was just ok. Not running back.

Nice place for quick, fresh dinner at a good price. I’ve been here two times now: first by myself where I got vermicelli noodles with tofu and egg rolls, and tonight pork bahn mi and low-sugar boba. My husband also got the sandwich; neither of us found it amazing but ate every bite. My taro and coconut boba was lovely. I really liked the noodles except that it was very salty; he said that he could lessen it next time. Very nice server who remembered me from my first visit. Happy to go back again soon!

Did they change owner? In any case, i’m glad they are expanding their Asian cuisine menu. An easy go to place on a weekday. Support local small business.

Small café but pretty ample seating. Huge variety of food — burgers, sandwiches, breakfast, boba & Vietnamese food. You’d think they’d lack in certain areas with such a diverse menu, but overall everything is pretty good. Nothing fancy, but straightforward. Owner is very nice too. Burger was simple but juicy, upgrade to the meal and get a drink with sweet potato fries for like $ 10. I’ve been gravitating more towards the ultimate chicken sandwich on a spinach wrap, yum! They have a happy hour menu for food too. There was only one time I’ve been there where I actually had to cancel my order Bc they were so busy, but overall an easy place to grab a quick meal during your lunch break.

I am a repeating customer of this place since two years ago because I work nearby. I can tell their phở is getting better. It was good when I first tried it and it is excellent now. Their sandwich is very good as well. The owner is very friendly.

I really wanted to like this place, but the last few times I’ve gotten their fried zucchinis, the dough wasn’t cooked completely. The flavor was all there, but the zucchinis just needed to be cooked more thorough. I’ve ordered the BLT, cheeseburger, and spring rolls here as well. They were all mediocre at best. The meat for the cheeseburger was seasoned differently than what I’m used to. The BLT was only ok. The spring rolls were decent, I wish they used herbs such as mint intead of just lettuce though(for the authentic flavor). Maybe the Vietnamese food here is what’s good, I should just skip all the American food and get the phở, bun bo hue, or rice dish next time.

ooh ooh ooh! I love this café! Food I’ve ordered: PHO — served with filet mignon HELLOOOO!!! Best Phở I’ve tasted and believe me i’ve had a lot ! Phở I give 5 stars for sure! Veggie Burger either the cold –cut or the warm sandwich. MAN’O’MAN. doesn’t make you miss meat at all !! Crossaint Breakfast Sandwich — good. Boba Thai Iced Tea — good. The only downside is the wait time. BUT hey you can always call ahead and order over the phone. you can either take it to go or grab a seat and eat it there. but if you don’t call ahead I suggest you give yourself about 25 mins extra to return to work because that’s how long it takes for them to prep your food. They really only have one maybe two cooks back there and although the wait time is long for walk-in customers, it’s only beacuse they’re making everything fresh for you. I’ve seen the owner come in with bags of groceries in the morning on several occassions. I think he actually buys the ingredients fresh every day. and it tastes like it for sure! My secret is… I order the food over the phone once. then I call again to make sure it’s ready for pick up. Service is good. Parking limited on street but I usually just walk :)

So I decided to give this place another try and get their Phở because 1. my friends like their soup 2. the place is owned by Vietnamese. They know their Phở. They offer their Phở in beef, chicken, and tofu. I can’t eat beef due to my beef allergy(I can’t digest beef). So I made sure I said chicken, I wanted for my TOGO order and the service was great. Within 15 min my order was ready. I went back to my office and started eating the noodles and soup. I finally got to the meat part and it was beef. Fortunately, I can digest broth that has beef in it(because it’s liquid), but I couldn’t digest beef. I called the place and the guy apologized and asked what I wanted. I didn’t want to get a completely new soup cuz I ate most of my noodles and drank my soup. So I said I just wanted the chicken on the side to mix with my soup because I have a cold and chicken noodle soup would be AMAZING right now. So he apologized and I went to pick up the chicken and he threw in a salad, which was unnecessary. I just appreciated the fact he apologized and offer to take care of it. Despite the fact I think I got sick from eating there once but from American food, I like the Vietnamese food they serve. Their Vietnamese food here is great. The soup is great and now I have chicken soup which is what I wanted. I would usually give a three-star cuz their messed up and made up for it, but the owner was so gracious and I respect the fact that he was so nice about it all. I honestly would eat the beef if I could, but I can’t. I would die… in the bathroom.

Nothing really special. Food and drinks are okay. The service is very slow. You need to have fast service when your place is small. If you want to try it make sure you feed your meter. Hope this helps, enjoy.

Okay, so, I this place is cheap and gives my workplace a discount, but the food always takes FOREVER. I once waited 30 minutes for a breakfast burrito. 30 minutes. Nothing here really stands out, it has a little bit of everything. Decent sandwiches, passable phở, average salads. Jack of all trades but master of none. The only reason this place gets any business is because it’s the cheapest eatery in the area. Europane across the street is way better but it’s a bit pricier. $ 4.25 for a big breakfast burrito at Beany’s vs. $ 7 for a breakfast sandwich anywhere else. Inside and outdoor seating. No restrooms. No parking except on the street(if you’re lucky).

Spring rolls are on point! Their hours are a bit limited, wish they were open Sundays. But they are the perfect joint right down from my apartment when I have a spring roll craving. I haven’t tried anything else, but their salads and sandwiches look good too! And service is friendly, which is always a plus.

I stumbled upon this spot andI’m so glad. The two workers there we very nice and appropriate, not the gum smacking, «I dunno«people I usually find at small independent places. These two were nice, informative and positive. Place is small but clean and comfortable. Relaxed atmosphere and a wide range of food options. They have great sandwiches, I got a turkey club. But they also have soups, salads, omelette, burrito(breakfast), phở, spring rolls, burgers and more. They have wide variety of drinks and their prices are really good. My sandwich was perfect, fresh ingredients and well made. I will be coming back!

Had a seminar down the street at the Hilton and wanted something quick for lunch. Service is fine, girl had a hard time managing orders and taking my info over and over. Ordered half chicken pesto bacon sandwich and French onion soup. Sandwich is pretty good but soup needs work, it was pretty bland and soup broth was clear I think they used chicken broth? For a rush lunch it was better than any fast food joint

For my Friday morning breakfast adventure I chose a little diner in downtown Pasadena called Beany’s Café. It’s a small intimate little café. It had a nice coffee shop feel, The lady at the counter that took my order was extremely nice and the cook came out to say hi which is always very cool. I came here because they have corn Flake crusted French toast and eggs Benedict with homemade hollandaise sauce. It took me five minutes to decide the obvious, cornflake crusted French toast with cinnamon sugar and maple syrup :-) The meal was completely fantastic and my only two complaints word that it took a while for them to make my breakfast and that the temperature inside was completely freezing… Good thing I was wearing my jacket. The French toast was cooked perfectly and the crunchiness of the cornflakes gave it a really cool texture. The cinnamon sugar and blueberries on top really put it over the top! I also ordered two eggs any style on the side and my new thing these days is to order one scrambled and one over easy and fortunately for me the cook didn’t see it and give me two scrambled eggs and ended up having to make me an over easy on the side so I ended up with three eggs«any style» During my meal the cook came out two more times asking me how I liked it which was unusual but very nice of him. Over all, the food was very very good and so was the customer service but I had to eat it fast because it was so cold inside. I will be back to try the eggs Benedict. Stay hungry my friends!

Staff is very friendly. My sandwich was good. However, PLEASE let your customers know if they are expecting to be waiting 35 minutes for a simple tuna melt sandwich to go. It’s a tuna melt and I waited 35 minutes for it. Really?!? I would have bought a muffin instead and went on my way. I’ll be back again so I hope it’s better next time.

Wanted a place for a quick and affordable lunch in the pasadena area and stumbled across this place. PARKING: We had to park on the street and pay meter so that was slightly annoying but the food comes out fairly quickly so we were in and out in under an hour. ATMOSPHERE: It was kind of hard to find but it’s a little down the street near a hair cut place and around the same area as the USC asian pacific art museum. It’s pretty small inside with booths that line the sides and then a few tables inside. You order at the front then wait with your number. FOOD: They have a fairly extensive menu with vietnamese food(phở, bun bo hue, spring rolls), sandwiches and breakfast burritos as well as boba/drinks. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which is only like $ 4.25, super cheap. You can get bacon, ham or sausage I think and you can also sub something in for avocado. It’s a LITTLE on the smaller side, but I guess for the price you pay that’s what you get. CHICKENSANDWICH — It comes on a soft roll, chicken, basil aioli, caramelized onions, avocado, tomato, lettuce and cheese. It was pretty filling and tasty. The amount of the sandwich was good and the bacon crispy. I actually really liked the caramelized onions and there were good portions of avocado. Overall — casual atmosphere with a big menu so everyone will be happy and prices that make your wallet happy :)
