Cousin and I stepped into the bar while we waited for a table at La Grande Orange. Conveniently connected it was a great way to get a quick table. We started off the night very simply with a white sangria. Perfect balance of sweet and flavor. The service at the bar was incredible. All the waiters and waitresses were very attentive making sure we were set with drinks and what not. Immediately after arriving they even offered to order our food to the bar which made it much easier for my cousin and I. Moving on to our second drink of the night, the Old Fashion was truly amazing. Seeing the bartender hand-craft the drink was truly a sight in itself. He was very meticulous and clearly skilled. Really made the right way. A.J.(our bartender and server) is literally the man. He gave us the best drink and food recommendations. He ensured everything got to us in a very timely manner and was very attentive even though he was covering everyone else at the bar as well. One thing to note that the pitcher of sangria is really worth it. Also happy hour is Monday-Friday 11am — 7pm with awesome discounts on all beer, wine, and cocktails. Remember that you have all the food from La Grande Orange at your disposal for a full meal, if that’s what you want.

Their Old Fashioned is top notch. If you are doing a metro line pub crawl, this should be on it.

Taking the train into Pasadena? Then it’s right at the station. Great spot to enjoy some drinks, although I miss the old happy hour prices. The pizza next door is the best in town.

Excellent Barkeeps, bar food(made from the adjacent restaurant Le Grande Orange) and cool digs. It’s also conveniently located right off the«Gold Line» Metro line… no need to Valet Park or use the parking structure next door. And since we have dogs as well it’s great to see a bar named after Otis the Bulldog.

This is an awesome place for drinks and apps for Happy Hour or anytime ! The white sangria and the guacamole and chips come highly recommended ! Very tasty food and drinks, very professional and courteous service. Set right near the metro. Excellent first date spot or time with friends.

If I lived in Pasadena, The Otis would be my watering hole. This is a nice, classy establishment, that isn’t pretensions. Owned by the same people who own the pizza joint and restaurant next door, this is the ultimate blend of establishments. Well prepared drinks, that were priced very cheaply, I wish I had a place like this in Florida!

Had lunch here and it was awesome! The short rib tacos were sooooo yummy! The bartender Laura made us some really great cocktails! Goodnight Emily is a must try! The staff were all so friendly! We will be back soon for sure! We took home some of their house made English muffins for later!

I came to this bar towards the last forty minutes of Happy Hour on a Tuesday evening and it was an overall great experience. I’d recomment their specialty cocktail named«Goodnight Emily» because it is refreshing, tasty, and before you know it the drink does its job. The chairs at the bar are absolutely comfortable, by far the most comfortable bar chairs I have ever sat on. I love the ambience this bar has because it seems like you’re outdoors and has a relaxed vibe. The bartenders are friendly and check up on you which I like. Overall, this bar is amazing. I love it here!

Stopped in for happy hour. They have a decent menu, with $ 5 draft beers and well drinks. I was surprised to see Duvel Belgian as an offering, so I paired that with my pizza. I ordered the«Padre» which was topped with prosciutto, dates and arugula. Sounds weird, but it was GOOOOD. I am curious to try other pizzas on the list, because it took me some time to make a selection. The vibe is casual enough for hanging out with friends and family but still intimate enough for a laid back date. You can stop into Stone Brewery across walkway in the plaza, literally next door, get a growler fill and pay a corkage fee to enjoy your favorite Stone beer with your pizza pie. Don’t forget to treat yourself to a free cookie on the way out after your meal.

Great staff. Happy hour isn’t as good because they only have well drinks and beers. The nachos are decent. You have to catch them when the train crown isn’t here or else you will have a long wait.

Pasadena is a hip town, and Otis has a claim to some of that hip. Odd because my idea of «Otis» is either the elevator company or the perennial drunk on the Andy Griffith Show. Otis is small, and HH drink menu is similarly small, but that doesn’t damper the vibe or cool fun that everyone here seems to have. I had a couple really good tall glasses of «Craftsman 1903 Lager» on HH prices. My guests had margaritas, which looked pretty ordinary but they were happy and we just talked and talked so it must not have mattered. We came early, and had the luxury of some space and an open table. I am told Otis gets very crowded. I would hate that. But on this day, beer was cold, chicken nachos were gooey and salty, wait staff smart and lively, and conversations happy! Just another Pasadena night.

Great food OK service great location the only thing that I don’t like about the place is the soda I don’t care to drink soda from a bottle at a restaurant or from a can. Restaurants are experience already to get a soda in can or bottle isn’t kosher. Myself I like my drinks with ice in a glass.

The Otis Bar is part of La Grande Orange, serving the same food, but you pretty much don’t need to wait to be seated. The Otis Bar’s room it’s more of a bar feel than a restaurant. When you walk in, you can seat yourself at the tall tables, or at the bar and place your order. If you like Sangrias, you MUST come here to try their White Sangria. I’ve had it a few times and have to say that it’s SO addicting! It’s perfectly sweet with just enough alcohol to give this a kick! This was a very refreshing drink! It has great flavor and is packed with fruits! I can’t help but eat all the fruits, which is soaked in alcohol. Yum! You can… and probably should get a pitcher! Don’t forget to ask for some Chocolate Chip Sea Salt cookies while you’re there. You may also take one on your way out(it’s right by the front entrance). Our service was great. Since we were at the bar, it was easy to order as well as get our drinks and the bill. Everything was done quickly, and the drink was consistently good. You can definitely take the Metro to get here. The station is literally right at the restaurant. Also, if you drive, park in the Metro station and get a validation right before you leave. Great bar, great service, great drinks, and great location! The Otis Bar is a place I’ll go to for a fantastic Sangria time and time again!

Superb Old Fashioned cocktail made with premium Michcter’s bourbon. Of course all their food is from LGO. Must get the deviled eggs and guacamole and chips are as fresh as they get. Don’t forget the amazing chocolate chip cookies with sea salt!

Now THIS is what I am looking for in a bar! Some friends and I wandered into The Otis Bar, looking for a cocktail on a warm afternoon. What a great discovery! Located in a renovated train station which it shares with Le Grande Orange restaurant, the bar is airy, attractive and comfortable. I ordered an old fashioned and it was just about perfect, the right blend of ingredients(the bar uses Michter’s Sour Mash for the whiskey), served in a proper old fashioned glass over a single small block of ice. It looked good and tasted better. My friend’s martini was well balanced and was served in an iced stainless pot with a glass. Again, a good looking cocktail. Great service. The food looked good but we did not try any this time. The deviled eggs looked particularly good. We’ll have to try them next time.

I’m consistently impressed by how much goodness the people at LGO manage to pack into a single location. There’s so much going on, with all the interconnected rooms and separate identities for each. Yet, they continue to deliver each time. The Otis Bar is no different. Same food as LGO but the seat-yourself layout and the big-kids-only atmosphere delivers a different experience compared to just dinner. Great for catching up with a small group of colleagues after work. Friendly bartenders, good drinks, and expedient service. All with the laid back, sure-it’s-busy-but-chill-for-as-long-as-you-want attitude that LGO has always had. It’s one of my new favorite drinking spots in Pasadena.

BESTDEVILEDEGGSEVER! That’s actually the reason why I wanted to go. My friend recommended it and it did NOT disappoint. We sat at the bar because we didn’t want to wait 30 minutes for a table at the LGO, and i ordered an old fashion as per uje… but what i got was… bourbon over ice… NOBUENO. My gf wanted the sangria so she ordered a glass, but that shit was so damn good we ordered a whole pitcher!!! WHOOOOOO!!! Go big and go drunk! …not really cuz it wasn’t enough to get either of us drunk… and we DON’T DRINKANDDRIVE… or…DRIVEDRUNKANDDRINK… DRUNK…drive. …anyway… The main event… was the food. I ordered Seared Ahi Tuna tacos and she got the surf and turf(filet minon and lobster tail). The only thing was… they cut up the damn filet AND the lobster… ummm…ok… Why? Very strange… BUT…the food was so good we didn’t care after the first bite. Both dished came with their homemade tortilla’s which were seriously so damn good, i almost forgot about the tuna and just had that with the guac. I must say, the tuna was prepared very well, and was pretty good. The kale salad was kind of… odd…but still worked with everything else on my plate so I’m not complaining. The service was on point and i never had to wave someone down to get anything. Overall a very pleasant evening… but i do hope that whoever made the«Old Fashion» goes back to bartending school to get retaught how to make one… cuz BRO… come on. Will definitely be back for more deviled eggs(i’m going to have 24 of them next time)…and if i do… CATCHMEIFYOUCAN!!!

I am a big fan of the Luggage Room and I do enjoy LGO from time to time. However I never knew where the heck the Otis Bar was. It is really hard to find little sit down bar area. We came here after dropping our friend off for a wedding and enjoying the music festival. By the time we got here we had already gone for a 10+ mile hike, had a few beers/cocktails, and some food so I was pretty tired and a little ready to go crash at home. That being said all in all I had a decent time here. We had no problem finding a table right away, and the bartender came right up to help. We ordered some cocktails and considered getting some food. The cocktails were good. I got a Samuel Clemens which was very light and refreshing, while still having those bold whiskey flavors I like. Very happy with that choice. We got the deviled eggs as our food choice. I just don’t think I was in the mood for the deviled eggs. It came down between the nachos and the deviled, and our waiter recommended the deviled eggs if we weren’t too hungry(which we weren’t). There was a lot of flavor to the eggs, but it got a little overpowering and rich by the end. It might have also been my mood, but it just didn’t hit the spot. The service was decent too. There was a little bit of a wait between when we finished and when the waiter came to check on us. We made eye contact a couple of times, but he never came over. There was also a weird incident where one of the people working behind the bar dropped a glass and it broke. The person who dropped the glass looked down and sort of shrugged it off. The other person working who saw it gave them an inquisitive look to which the person who broke the glass gave them a what are you going to do about it look. Now it wasn’t in an area that is heavily walked through, but it was just outside the bar at the corner where waiters pick up things from. Maybe I read to much into the body language, but they left broken glass on the floor. Just a weird thing that stuck with me. The happy hour here is good, and I think I would come back for that. 51⁄100

The Otis bar is the bar area connected to LGO. Why it has a special name, I’m not really sure but I always opt to sit in the bar here vs. being seated in the dining area. The vibe is totally different between the two areas in my opinion aka it’s fun in the bar, boring in the dining area. Same menu & such as LGO but the part that makes this place special is the kick ass happy hour! It lasts until 7pm which is pretty hard to find these days AND they make great drinks! There was a period of time where it was touch & go. I went a few months ago and had a bad experience but I’ve been back since & I’m happy to say the drinks are back to being amazing. My favorite item here is the margarita. It’s made with all fresh ingredients and at $ 5 during happy hour, it’s hard to beat. They also have $ 4 sangria during HH and with Unilocal check-in that I imagine is anytime of the day. It gets pretty busy at night, regardless of what day of the week it is so it makes finding a bar seat difficult at times. They have a clipboard to the right when you walk into the bar where you put your name & wait for a seat if it’s full. Also note that while they have beer, the selection is small — I think 3 taps, one of which always seems to be green flash.
