Been here before and usually decent service and cool atmosphere. Today was not the case. Drinks forgotten, we couldn’t even get a water to our table until after the food had already come out and when it did the nachos were burnt. Waitress spent considerably more time at other tables with other orders. We never even got the lemonade that my gf ordered.

By a happy accident, I met some lovely people who convinced me to go in here for a drink and a round of pool. Had some wine, ordered the Barney’s burger, but with lettuce instead of buns, which comes with sweet potatoes, and played pool for hours. They have a happy hour on food and drinks. The inside is quiet, and decked out in Christmas lights and decorations. It wasn’t crowded on a weekday, but I bet it gets packed on weekends. They also have karaōke(which stands for tone-deaf, FYI, which you’ll learn after hanging with me). Barney’s has a homey cozy vibe. It’s the type of place where you feel at home, hanging out with your group of friends. In fact, it seemed that everyone hanging out here knew each other, staff and customers. Because of that, it’s a standout for me. Also, there’s a bus inside!!!

They have trivia game nights here on Tuesday night. However, after some people started cheated and my friends and I stopped going. Other than that, this place gets crowded on the weekends. The first floor is the bar. They have a second floor which is has multiple pool tables. $ 15 for an hour. And low and behold, I found out they have a underground. I particularly enjoy the underground area, because it is a public karaōke bar. People put in there names and wait in line. People down here all sing along and are very into the karaōke. I enjoy this environment. You got great singers and then the drunk ones… Ordering drinks at the bar can be tough. Lots of people and service can be slow. If you find a seat, take it!

This was my first time here, and it was super fun! I love how they have lots of cool stuff on their ceilings and walls. I also like how there are pool tables, fuze-ball tables, and video games throughout the place. There are also extra pool tables located up stairs… But that was closed off when I went. The drinks here are really expensive. I have gotten two Jameson ginger ale for $ 20… and they were the little size. And the drinks had way too much ginger ale in my option. It was a pretty cool place to just come and hang. I would definitely love to try the food there sometime!

Good ambience and the décor is cool, but service was very slow and the server was more interested in the guys drinking beer than in any of the diners. We sat down and waited for a server to bring us menus. After a long wait, we realized one of us would have to go to the front and ask for menus for our table. Next, a server came by and asked us if we wanted to order drinks or appetizers. We said no and instead of asking to take our orders for lunch, she hurried off and never returned. Huh? Eventually she returned and acted as though she was in a big rush. I ordered a chimichanga without rice and instead got a burrito with lots of rice. The mac and cheese has changed from the old recipe. It used to be amazing, now it is mediocre. It used to have a cheddar cheese topping with cheddar cheese throughout. This time it had creamy milky sauce that didn’t taste very cheesy. It wasn’t very good. The bread crumb topping wasn’t as good as the rich cheddar topping. In addition, the menu for Barney’s Beanery used to be many more pages and have endless choices. That’s what they were famous for. On this visit, I noticed the menu has been reduced to just 4 pages with only a fraction as many options as there used to be. Reduced options, reduced service, and reduced food quality is why we won’t be back.

If you’re looking for a sports bar to hang out and have good food, come here. Prices are ok. Lots of TVs on tables and around the restaurant. The food is good not great. The environment is more of a 21 and over feel. They do check I.D. at the door after a certain hour at night during weekends, kind of dumb especially if you’re just going to watch a game. Has an upstairs bar with pool tables. If you’re over 21 this place is for you, not a place for families. Somewhat Recommended.

It’s Barneys. Horrible service. Again. Waited 30mins and not one time a waiter asked if I needed anything so I left. **Update — the wings are horrible

Came here on a friday and was embarrased when the bartender told me my card wouldnt go through. Had she been paying attention she would have noticed it went through the first time. I only know this because i called my bank and reviewed the recent charges. Anyway after she embarrassed and kept running my card telling me it didnt go throught and i should try the cash machine. I wasnt surprised when the cash machine was out of order. i had to ask my friend to pay for me which was embarrassing because it was his birthday and i was trying to buy him a drink. She chargesbhis card and it goes through. So after clearing things up with my bank and verifying i did infact pay for my drinks and so did my friend. I started thinking. Was the bartender not paying attention to charging me correctly(because the reciept come out of the machine when charged) or was she just being a greedy sneak trying to double charge me? Never the less I’ll be posting a picture of the blonde bartender who doesnt pay attention and or just rips people off.

The Service: Super friendly and attentive! The Food: Love their happy hour! Great price of the food and drink! Tons of TV in the restaurant, even at your tables! Fantastic place to watch sports. The Parking: Street metered parking(challenging!). Parking structures nearby(90 minutes free). Private small parking lot across street $ 7.

The place has a very busy feel to it. Lots to take in, with the décor and the various bar activities. Came here on a Friday night, it was really popping. There was Karaōke, pool, foosball, all sorts of good stuff. In terms of drinks, there was a huge selection of drinks, however, I do think them to be a bit overprices. In my opinion, I would not like to be spending around 6 bucks for a Budlight. Also, mixed drinks were fairly priced, but I felt like there was very little alcohol in my rink. The basement is a bit grungy, and can get really sweaty smelly when there is a lot of people. I recommend ubering here, or if you are driving, there are parking structures around the area.

Two words: bottomless mimosas. The only downside is you have to order an entire pitcher(just for yourself, you’re not supposed to share) in order to get the bottomless so be prepared to Über home(which the 3 of us definitely did). This place has great character. They have an old 60s tie-dye bus in the middle with booths in it. There’s pool tables and classic arcade games. It has a really cool vibe. The service was good too. A lot of people mentioned the food being mediocre here so I didn’t go in expecting much and maybe it was the 6+ mimosas I had, but I really enjoyed my chilaquiles(you can order breakfast or lunch, gotta love it). They actually went nicely with the mimosas, go figure. Good portion size too. My friends and I literally hung out for about 4 hours just talking, eating and drinking. It’s the perfect place to do that on a Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s located right on the main street in Pasadena too so there’s plenty to walk to afterwards.

Solid 3 stars… Stopped in for happy hour and enjoyed the view! (Ask for Megan!!) Ordered the nachos and skins at half off. The nachos were very good and we asked for salsa and sour cream. The skins were thick and covered with bacon. We asked for ranch to complete the offering. All was good and we nearly cleaned the plates. $ 3.50 beers and $ 5 well drinks so we left happy. If we were in the area more frequently we would get a better sampling of the menu. Ambiance is frat house crossed with TGI Fridays and buzzin and flashing and hooting and hollering… you get the point? And prices were great for happy hour! For the excitement and cheap stuff… this joint makes the list!

I’ve heard about this place from a few friends and decided to finally make my way. I went down to the basement where they had the game and it was loud like I like it. Good thing I got there early cause there was nowhere to sit come game time. I ordered about 7 beers to kill my nerves from game. I probably should have ordered a pitcher instead. I also ordered some buffalo wings. They came out kind of dry but still somewhat good. They could have had more sauce. Since it was crowded, the service was slow. There was a few times I had to wait a while until I could order another beer.

Gets pretty poppin’ on the weekends late at night here. I never knew this food place turned into such a center for Pasadena nightlife. The place itself is super loud. Basically to the point where you can’t hear yourself talk. Its not like other bars that are more chill and laid back. This place kind of echoes when you’re there and amplifies noise. Their last call for drinks is too late. We ordered one last round of drinks and they basically said they were closing 5 minutes after. Our group had to chug a few pints of beer down super fast as they were kicking us out. I’ve not tried their food so I cannot comment on that.

Too loud. Not the cleanest(apparently there was barf in the men’s restroom). Food(cheese and veggie appetizer platter) was microwave food. I’m not sure how the drinks fared because I didn’t drink. I wouldn’t come to this bar again.

Not a bad place to come watch your televised sports games. It’s pretty fun sitting/standing on top of the bus. The bartenders are pretty friendly for bartender standards.

Barneys Brew went up to $ 4. Found out pool upstairs is free on weekday nights! Pretty empty on weekday but there was a decent crowd.

I have been in here 2x now and actually a fan. Their menu selection is fanstastic I don’t care what you want, you can get it all day and all night. Burgers are really good and very large. Sandwiches have plenty of flavor and some very uniquish type ones for sure. Sourdough Chicken sandwich is one of my favorites. For me it is the addition of the chili verde that makes this one unique and adds to the flavor profile. Always done right and a good choice. DBC burger is huge and packed with that BBQ flavor you will be very happy with. BBQ sauce is really pretty mainstream so most will like it and it is good. All in all, I really would give this place 4 Start for the food, but it is the service that brings it down to this level. In both the times we have been there it has been during the week. Service is not at a premium and they really don’t seem to care to bust their humps making sure you get quick service. Is a shame, I will most likely go back, but am honestly really afraid of what it would be like on a Weekend night or day as service is pretty lackluster the rest of the week. Maybe I’ll go in with lower expectations, but if the servers were quicker, this place would definitely be much higher rated in my book. So go in expecting slow service and you will enjoy the food for sure. Especially if you are not sure what you want, then a definite choice as they do have a great menu that offers everything you cold want.

4 Star rating is indeed for the feeling of watching your favorite sports team with a bunch of other fanatics in the basement with your own bartender. Yes that’s right. New England West Fans meet up here for every Patriots game and it is awesome. The décor is fun, lots of cute lights, plenty of TV screens with HD, and a great bartender to take care of all of your needs. They were serving Sam Adams specials on PINTS and PITCHERS of beer, keeping with the New England fanfare. The food is predictable… but let’s be honest… who goes there for the food? BB is a fun place to meet up with friends, watch some sports, and enjoy the crazy ambiance. Will be back for sure.

The menu at Barney’s is pretty big. If you’re a breakfast fan, they serve that all day. I’ve found some pretty satisfying eats at this place, with my favorite being the fireman’s chili. It’s a $ 1 upcharge on most menu items, but it’s totally worth it. The southern style fried chicken salad is not quite as good as the one that Mimi’s Café used to have, but that’s also pretty good. The reuben sandwich is a little unremarkable. I feel like I could make the same thing at home, so that’s a pass. They have a TON of TVs in this place. Behind the bar, next to your seat, at the end of the booth, you name it. So if your favorite sporting event is on TV, this is a great place to enjoy it. I watched 2 days of the Masters golf tournament here, and it was very relaxing. You won’t be able to have lunch for less than $ 10 at Barney’s, but I’ve always had good service.
