Love the place, do not let the outside fool you. Friendly staff, been there a few times, every time has been a good experience. Have a good variety of selection on their menu, great deals and not expensive. I would most definitely recommend to all who are around the area.

This rating is for the Tequila Bar attached to Two Cities restaurant. This place has loads of potential for being the best little drinking spot in Pasadena/Laporte/Deer Park. Wide selection of beers and liquors, including about 40 tequilas Clean, simple setting Pool and darts Smoking outside on the patio Diverse crowd Limited amounts of seats could be a problem if full. Music can be brutally loud. Bartenders appear to be inexperienced and service was slow during my last visit.

I have been here 3 times. I loved their fried green tomatoes because they are hard to find(they took them off the menu though) and the fried pickles are amazing. The appetizers all taste good. I did get a shrimp and crawfish pasta the last time I went. It was not very good at all. There was way to much sauce and it was like eating a soup with very little noodles. There was also something very chewy and slimy in the dish. My only other complant is while it is clean inside all the times I went it had a very unpleasing bleach smell. Not quite something I want to smell before I eat. If/when I ever go back I will try the stuffed shrimp, it looks pretty good.

Not crazy about Italian food in a Tex Mex place but it is pretty good to be fair

We used them as our holiday caterer and they did an excellent job! I will definitely be using them again. The chef was very professional and responded to my questions in a timely manner. The employees who set up were also very polite and accommodating and to top it off the food was delish! All of our employees loved all of the options.

Ok, so apparently there is some neat little history here that I need to pay attention to when I go back. Every time I visit my parents for a weekend, we eat here. It is a unique place and it has some really good food. Not everything is great here though. I personally don’t think the burgers are that exciting, but my fiancé and father always get the squealer burger, which they like. The white queso is really good, and surprisingly, their honey mustard is SO good. I’m picky about honey mustard, only liking few grocery store brands like Litehouse, and tolerating everything else. But this honey mustard is soooo good. Get the chicken sandwich with the HM on the side, delicious. The chicken is slightly charred, but still tender and moist. It was prepared perfectly last time I went. And the veggies were fresh that were on it. The fries are also good, and especially dipped in the HM. And there is never a whole lot of people here, like at Jimmy Changas, so we usually get quicker service.

Came here after we heard it had reopened since the hurricane. My dad loves this place because of the Gilley’s sign they have from the old honkey tonk and from the movie. This place has a lot of history. There are lots of signs, jail bars from Pasadena’s jail from the 1800’s and all sorts of other things. Its named Two Cities because the city line passes right through the middle which they have marked with a yellow line across the floor. The menu is a little strange, homestyle food plus Tex-Mex. Our waitress brought us some chips and salsa to start because she had been a little slow to get to us which was very nice. The chips were good but the salsa was a little strange. But like other chips and salsa I couldn’t stop eating it. I had a hard time deciding between the pork chops and the chicken fried chicken. My mom ordered the pork so I got the chicken. I am so glad I did. It was delicious! Very juicy and covered in gravy. They also have mashed potatoes as a side.(Its a pet peeve of mine when places serve chicken fried chicken or steak and don’t have mashed potatoes). Josh had the burger and he really liked it. My mom liked her pork chops, I tried I bite and thought they were a little dry. I also had a side salad with their signature jalapeño ranch. It was good, nothing too special. They have a couple beers on tap, including Saint Arnold’s Lawnmower. We had fun eating there and if we are in the area again will eat there again.
