Where to begin. My husband and I moved here from Iowa two years ago. We were amazed at the quality produce here in Washington. Something we don’t have except for corn in Iowa. What we do have in Iowa is meat. Fantastic meat. What were we going to do? Enter Knutzens. This shop rivals everything in Iowa and probably actually beats most places in the service category. They are phenomenal. If you don’t know what a good steak looks like, ask them to pick for you. They know their craft and won’t disappoint! Know of something they’re missing? They will try to help. Our holiday tradition in Iowa was to make ham balls out of ham loaf. When I asked if they had it, they said no but bring in the recipe and they can make it happen. That’s old school customer service right there. I highly recommend this place. You won’t regret shopping and supporting this local business!

There are places you can buy meat and then there are specialty meat markets that take you to places you want to go. Knutzen’s is such a place. I bought a perfectly marbled rib eye steak; we had it tonight and it was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. And this is from a former sales pro who has been to some of the best steakhouses coast to coast. That was one great rib eye. Tender and grass-fed wonderful. And yes there is a difference. Really nice people, great steaks, and assorted products(pepperoni, summer sausage, jerky etc), will make me return time and again. If you want a great steak, this is the place to buy it. Period! And my wife reminded me, at an excellent price. Sweet!

best beef jerky I have ever had… and I’ve had jerky all over the country. They have 2 kinds, regular and sugar free. I would recommend the regular. Also, it’s so fresh that they sell it by the pound… nothing prepackaged. make sure you ask them about«cow pooling» as well. Friendly family staff… I would definitely recommend checking out.

I have shopped at Knutzen’s several times now. And while the selection is smaller than Templeman’s in Kennewick, I have always found the employee’s to be much friendlier. Often when I call or stop at Templeman’s and I ask a question the person inevitably has to check with someone else. I don’t think asking about grass fed beef or bison is all that unusual. Regardless, the staff at Knutzen’s are always professional and friendly, even if you arrive 10 minutes to close. And they always answer my questions. They definitely want your business and given the quality of the meat, they deserve it. I highly recommend the Painted Hill’s grass fed beef. It is delicious!
