Worst experience at a small retailer in a very long time! My aunt and I drive to Paso Robles the Friday after Thanksgiving to have lunch and do some holiday shopping. All was going so well until we walked into this place! I spotted a really nice blue jacket. The rudest saleswoman asked if I wanted to try it on. I said yes. She then proceeded to bring me to a dressing room, I told her that because it was a jacket, I’d try it on at the front mirror. Mind you, people, my aunt and I were the only ones in the store. She proceeded to unbutton the top two buttons then asked me if I could pull it over my head. Excuse me? This lazy snoot didn’t have the energy or the customer service skills to unbutton a jacket? Pull it over my head??? You’re kidding? I chose to ignore her rudeness and I loved the jacket. Then my aunt saw it in a wine color. I wanted to try that on also. I didn’t bother asking Lazy Snoot to assist me but when I looked in the mirror, I saw that she was telling the other sales rep«she had to try on both!» and the other rep sniggered. Really? With not a single other person in the store, these two didn’t have the time to button up two jackets? And they were disparaging the only customer in the store? Needless to say, I left the $ 100 jacket behind. This place is what gives small businesses a bad name. Went to Macy’s the next day and got a very similar piece for $ 27.00. These two snooty lazy«salespeople» should be jobless for the holidays! They could have had a sale. Instead they get this review and the hopes that they will change their ways.

I am a long time customer of Apropos. In fact I think I spend way over $ 1000 a year there. I am irritated that they did not allow me to return an inexpensive ring I bought the day before which I thought was too big for my finger when I got home. I did not see this policy on the receipt of not returning jewelry. In any case they should consider the customer before they make a decision. I don’t want to shop there anymore.

Beware! I bought a blouse, sweater, and earrings and the blouse did not work out. I went to return the 3 items the next day and was told the store does not accept earrings for returns, and clothing is only to be exchanged or credit given. I was shocked. Everything still had the tags and prices on them. The earrings were still in their bag. Now I have $ to spend in a store that I have negative feelings about. When I was trying on a dress that felt too small, the shop keeper said, «oh you mean it actually fit you.» Rude! Beware!
