Great view– very friendly staff. Loved the spot and their GSM was good. Otherwise the wine was ok.

This winery has a beautiful view, and I loved the fact that they do dry farming, but the staff was not very personable. They poured our wines and went on to the next customer. Would have been nice to hear a little description about each wine. The first wine(sav blanc, I think), was not very good. The rest(reds) were pretty good. Go here if you like spicy, full bodied reds.

Martin the wine maker and Inn keeper could not have been more warm and inviting. Amazing views a little off the main road but the PERFECT location for dead heading from to go wine tasting. Wine and cheese in the evening and a sweet breakfast from 8 – 10 every day. Big rooms with private baths. We will go back agian.

I love this winery! I came here with friends and had a lovely experience. We tasted several wines and Rosie, our wine pourer, was exceptionally great! We loved chatting with her and listening to all of her wine knowledge. There are several tables to eat lunch and relax + take on the beautiful view which I recommend doing. I’ll be sure to stop here next time I’m in Paso!

My boyfriend and I just stayed at the Inn at Croad Vineyards last weekend. From the second we pulled up to the private Wine tasting room we were greatly warmly by Rosie. She poured us a glass of wine as soon as we walked in. She then took us on a tour of the Inn. OMG, it was more spectacular than I could have imaged. We lucked out and got entire inn to ourselves for the night. The view is amazing. Looks over vineyards. Martin the owner and winemaker greeted us later in the evening and showed us how to use the fireplace. What a fantastic guy. We loved the place so much we didn’t even leave for dinner. Rosie made us a cheese plate and we enjoyed wine by the fireplace. The bed was awesome and super comfortable as well. When we woke up, the kitchen was fully stocked with a wonderful breakfast. What an amazing place. We will be back as soon as we can. This place rocks!

This was one of our stops on my birthday weekend of wine tasting in early December. Martin and Lindsay were both SPECTACULAR… we even got a special little treat of tasting the Sauv Blanc. Thank you for making my birthday weekend extra special… I will be back for sure :)

The wines are okay here. They tend to be more acidic and not as well rounded. Just not my style of wines.

Beautiful vineyard. Gorgeous hilltop views. They were having a wedding the day we visited and it was easy to see why the bride and groom picked the location. We LOVED the wines here. Every one we tried was delicious and it was hard not to buy them all. We almost joined the wine club and I’m regretting we didn’t. We will definitely go back our next visit to the area. They have a hotel on the property that looks really nice. Haven’t stayed there but would like to give it a try as well

Went there yesterday as part of a wine tour, definitely the low point of the tour. Unfriendly service, felt rushed and unwelcomed. Will not visit again. However, the winery is very beautiful!

I really wanted to like Croad because it had a Kiwi thing going on with most of the wines named after New Zealand areas or Maori culture however I wasn’t actually that keen on the wine. Friendly staff and beautiful grounds. $ 10 tasting that is waived with the purchase of two bottles however nothing really stood out as something we wanted to take home.

I came here at the last minute on a recommendation, and I’m really glad I did! It was a little bit hard to find because it’s hidden aways back through the roads(and my GPS almost mislead me), but keep an eye out for their signs and you should be able to find it up the hill. The place is BEAUTIFUL. The outdoor patio area is amazing, and would be great for a picnic. Inside, you can still appreciate the views thanks to their large windows. The tasting was $ 10 for 5 – 6 wines, and they were all very enjoyable. You can also get wines by the glass if you prefer. Both the owner and the other staff member were very friendly, and I loved my experience there. Also, they have a «kiwi hour» where their wines by the glass are 50% off. I *think* it was 2−3pm. I can’t wait to come back and check out their inn :)

We visited Paso Robles for the first time and stayed at the inn at Croad and had a wonderful time. Martin was the best and Rosie was so helpful and friendly. Martin even took us on a quick tour of the barrel room and let us taste a couple different wines straight out of the barrels. That was so amazing and special! The wines are really great too. I fell in love with their GSM and my boyfriend loved their zin. The views from the winery were amazing and service was spectacular. Erin set up a lovely spread each morning for breakfast… waffles were a much appreciated surprise on our last morning. Just a great trip all around. I highly recommend staying here but definitely recommend stopping by for a tasting at the very least. Hopefully you can try their Rose if it’s available.

I really wanted my 200th review to be 5 stars so I was super happy when I stumbled upon Croad. I have been to so many wineries in Paso and I wanted to see if there were any more extra special wineries, and I can say this is definitely one of them! Not commercialized at all! After asking around we were directed to Croad. The drive up was interesting, I kept thinking one building was it and then driving right past it. You head up the hill to a beautiful property. The outside space is AMAZING! You just cant beat how amazingly beautiful it is up here. The owners are beyond friendly and actually live part time in Bakersfield where I currently am working. We talked for a bit and tried all of these delicious wines. I really enjoyed the reds specifically the 661 and the Azura *sorry probably misspelled* The prices were very reasonable and I ended up buying a couple bottles of my favorite. I think it would be so much fun to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio here. A bonus– a great place to take pups!

Dog friendly, beautiful setting, beautiful room and lovely people pouring our wines. Martin is a lovely sweetie and when a couple of us told him so he didn’t take it so well. Haha. He may have blushed a bit. Really enjoyed this place and wished I could have lingered longer but it was the end of the day and wanted to make it to one more tasting room. Didn’t love the one we rushed off to, unfortunately, and wish we had just stayed and relaxed at Croad. Kind of a bummer, actually. The wines were tasty. I think I liked the Zin the very best. I definitely want to go back and buy some bottles next time!

Spent the weekend here and it was amazing. The rooms are nice, clean and romantic. The rooms may seem a little pricey however it is well worth every penny you’ll spend. There is even a fire pit out on the common ground which my gf and I took full advantage of for a romantic night out under the stars. Martin, the owner, went out of his way to introduce himself and make our stay as welcoming as possible. The wine is amazing and the complimentary cheese plate is the best I’ve had in the area. 5 stars for the inn, the winery and the atmosphere. Will definitely recommend to everybody coming to the area!

Beautiful– worth the drive up the hill to see it :) We bought a bottle of the Sangiovese and it was amazing! The wines are all very good and the scenery was perfect for just relaxing while you enjoy the good music and great wine. The only critique– the tri-tip sandwich is overpriced for what was just«ok» flavor and considering the meat wasn’t juicy, the choice of bread was a mistake. Go for the view, stay to enjoy the music and wines but stay away from the BBQ ;) I will be coming back and visiting the winery again– soon!!!

I was totally ready to write a review for this place and give it 2 – 3 stars. First, this winery has one of the best views in Paso Robles. Two other wineries, Daou and Mondo also have equally beautiful views, but for me Croad has the most beautiful view. The grounds and tasting room are equally beautiful. Where I felt disappointed, was the tasting. The pours here are not just the smallest I’ve seen in Paso Robles, but anywhere I’ve tasted. They had to be sub one ounce. As usual my wife and I shared a tasting, and after I took the first taste, I realized there was almost nothing left in the glass. From that point forward, we were taking really small sips. I neglected to take notes here, but I do recall we tasted 5 wines including a Sauvingon Blanc, a Syrah and a Zin. The Sauvingon Blanc was very good, but I wasn’t looking for white wine on this trip. This is also the wine where my wife got virtually nothing. The Syrah was good enough that I decided to take a bottle, the Zin was nothing special. The tasting was $ 5, and we were accidentally charged for 2 tastings, so they threw in a glass. So what changed my rating? Well, my wife was out of town, and I was looking for something to open with dinner the other night. I knew she was less of a Syrah fan than I, so I opened the Croad Syrah(2009). Wow! I really liked it. It was very reminiscent of Australian Shirazs that I happen to like. Now I’m feeling like I should have bought several bottles. Further, knowing my wife she probably would have liked the Sauvingon Blanc, and insisted that we buy some of that too. So, to Croad… Pour just a little more wine for your tastings. Give your customers the opportunity to experience your wine. I will be back, and I’ll be looking for some Syrah and Sauvingon Blanc!
