I just made a purchase from idlers in Paso Robles. It was nice to find out that they have furniture as well as appliances. I was very happy with the customer service I got from Colleen.

I really wish I could support local business, but can’t recommend these guys to anyone. They are happy to sell you appliances, but not great on the service end. We bought a Whirlpool washer from them a few years ago. Last year it started failing in the middle of the cycle. Of course it was out of warranty. They charged us a diagnostic fee to come out and look at it. Then they charged for the parts and labor to fix it. After a week or two it started failing again. We put up with it for a while then when it couldn’t complete a cycle anymore we called back. They only warranty their work for 1 month and were going to charge the diagnostic fee again. They seemed unconcerned with the situation. I called Whirlpool and for $ 323 they would fix anything wrong with the machine and warranty it again for 1 year. So, the take-aways here: 1) don’t buy from a store that doesn’t back up their products 2) if you bought from them already and need it repaired, go directly to the manufacturer before you have Idler’s service it.

My husband and i could not have had a better experience. We were referred by a friend to ask for Tina and she was great. I had called and spoke with her first about what we looking for, and when we walked in she took us to exactly what we wanted and ended up with. Our oven and dishwasher were installed on time and the service guy was also very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall we are very happy and appreciative of the service we were given at Idlers in Paso Robles.

Hands down one of the best buying experiences with an appliance company. Great prices and top notch service from the moment we walked in the door to the installation of our new kitchen suite. Thank you Tina Stornetta for going the extra mile!

I had my first experience today with Idler’s Service Department. Purchased all of our new high end appliances for our kitchen remodel through Idler’s. Was a bit concerned when one of the control panel lights on our Thermador oven would not function properly. Contacted Idler’s to see if I needed to contact Thermidor or go through them. Got two calls promptly from friendly staff who walked me through the trouble shooting process and then a service call appointment. Was given an appointment window between 1 and 5PM. You know the ones where the repair person shows up at 6:30. Well got a call the night before from the actual service technician saying he was going to be there between 1 and 3. Got a call today saying that he wanted to move me up and showed up exactly when he said he would. The service technician was extremely friendly and very professional. Listened to my explanation and was able to perform a reset that took care of the problem. Given the service I’ve received from other repair outfits and utility companies, these folks deserve an A+. It is refreshing to know that when you spend your hard earned money on quality appliances and something goes wrong, there is someone there to take care of their«customers.» Thanks Idlers Service Staff! Purchasing there is great, follow-up service or fixing support is a bust. We purchased our washer and dryer for a pretty good price as they were having a clearance on last year’s models. We were told by two people that their service was part of the deal and they would take care of us. They set it up and it it worked well. Well, the washer had a 1-year warranty(of course) and 6 weeks after the warranty we finally called to report the front load washer started collecting water. We called Idlers up believing that they would be helpful, understanding and help fix the problem– we did spend over $ 3000 on two which is a lot for us. They calmly expressed no concern on their end and told us it would cost about $ 300 to come out and replace the part and they knew all about it as it «happens all the time». No warranty means no free help. Is what it is. And expressed even less concern when we said we needed to research this and see if there was a better way or if our warranty was expired for sure. He was very unconcerned with giving us any kind of support. So we called Whirlpool. They not only went ahead and extended our warranty for free, they scheduled a person from a different store to come out and fix the problem for free. Well… I guess that’s enough said. If you want to keep your customers you should show better support and concern. If you can’t afford to do that then you will lose your customers. I know everything can’t be free but when you sell a product with a side of service you should follow through– at least for your neighborhood clients. I would prefer to come again but now I’m not sure Idlers would be my first choice anymore.

The Idlers Service department was great to work with. Bob was quick to figure out what was wrong with our washing machine very knowledgeable about the machine and explaining what steps need to happen to fix it. We were very happy with his professionalism and kindness.
