This place needs a serious remodel. Service always slow. Today being no exception. The dinning room, if that’s what you call it, needs help. The chairs are wobbly and all scratched up. The floors and tables were pretty clean, but o would hope so since I was the only customer. Nothing to say about the food. It’s Jack In The Box!

Good, fresh food. The wait time in the drive thru was quick and Vincent, the cashier was friendly. Supplied sauces and napkins in the to go bag. Always appreciated.

This location leaves a bit to be desired. Fellow dinners are a bit rough around the edges. I have been here twice. Noisy, hot, not too clean, slow service and as I indicated above, a tough clientele. I kind of like this chain, but this location is simply not for me.

When traveling across California on the 46 or on the 101 I have my weird little routines which save me time and allow for both rest stops and a stretch. I like this spot. Staff are always helpful and friendly in the visits I have made recently. This Jack in the Box is off 46 and 101 and right about ½ way for me. I like J in B coffee because Starbucks’ is so strong. Other places closer to 101 get super crowded in the parking lots. Oatmeal and coffee during my trip and helpful staff? Thanks Jack!!!

I also had a bad experience where I needed a refund. I went through the drive through. They must have been short staff that day. Took a while to order. When I did and got my order being the idiot I was didn’t check it. I was almost home and noticed it was the wrong food. I did have my puppy with me. Could not leave my puppy in the car so I put him in my purse. I got to the register(Actually had some awesome customers let me go ahead of them!) Took about ten minutes to get help. I told the man I was given the wrong food. He immediately flipped out on me. Told me that’s what I ordered and told me because I had a dog with me I could get arrested and all that(All I wanted was a refund!) He did give me a refund after several minutes of arguing. He didn’t want to give me the receipt back. I took it any way to call the survey and also to call corporate. Corporate sent me two free meal coupons. Did not use them at this Jack in the Box, but also had problems where I tried to use them. I will never be back and will never recommend eating here!!!

I contacted both the San Luis Obispo DA’s office and Jack in the Box Corporate after my visit to this restaurant. The latter was very professional and helpful in responding to my concerns and I did receive compensation. This allowed me to tell the DA’s office that the price complaint had been resolved. The restaurant advertised on the window a combination for $ 3.49 and I ordered two of this item. We were charged $ 8.99. $ 7 plus tax is not $ 8.99. When we complained, we were told by the manager in rapid succession that 1) this is a franchise restaurant, 2) the extra money is «tax» and 3) to please leave the store as we were interfering in the business. I immediately asked for a full refund. The manager took the receipt from my hand(!) and went in the back of the store. Only when I loudly explained that I was going to call the Paso Robles Police Department and swear out a theft complaint, was our money actually refunded. __In loose change__. I had paid with a $ 10. I asked for a receipt and was told that since there had been no transaction, there was no receipt. I can only conclude that the manager is the owner or an owner’s relative. I’m grateful in retrospect as I shudder to think of the quality of the kitchen, if the customer service is so poor.

I know it seems a little asinine to rip a fast food location because of their service or quality, but come on, the concept of fast food is predicated on quick service, period. Last time I was at this particular location, it was empty and it took about 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged at the counter. From what I can tell, the crew there was busy meddling with an off-duty employee’s order, which I found to be rather irritating. From the time I walked in to the time I walked out, over 10 minutes elapsed, which is far too long to wait for being the only person placing an order at the counter, considering most fast foot places have you in and out in 5 minutes or less, regardless of the traffic load they are experiencing at the time. Oh, and I haven’t even mentioned the quality of the food, which is DISGUSTING. Methinks next time, I’ll just drive the extra couple of minutes to Wendy’s, which is gourmet and extremely expedient by comparison.
