It’s good in most areas, not great in any. Food is about average for a Mexican Restaurant, I’ve had pretty much everything on the Menu. Happy hour is decent with house Margaritas that won’t leave you broke. Fun atmosphere, relatively clean venue, friendly staff, good prices. I go back often, and it’s always the exact same 3 star experience.

Came to celebrate my husband’s birthday tonight with family. Made reservations ahead of time for a party of ten. We arrived about ten minutes early but they sat us right away which was a nice suprise. Then when we were brought to our table it only had eight chairs and was clearly to small of a table. When I informed the hostess as she was seating us she just shrugged her shoulders and walked away as if it was someone else’s problem. Never saw her again and WE had to inform our server we were short a table and chairs. Eventually another table left and they brought that table over to us after it was cleaned. Meanwhile part of our party has been standing awkwardly for ten minutes and causing my handicap mother to shuffle arround when table did arrive. Then by the time our server brought our drinks we’d been there for a good fifteen minutes. Our food came out and entrees tasted great other than the plates were ice cold along with the rice and beans.(Yuck) Would of spoken to management but there didn’t appear to be any and if there was they clearly had no idea what was going on with our party. Saving grace(the only reason for the two stars) was our server was friendly, attentive and did his best on a busy night. Was really looking forward to a night out with our family and I was the one to chose this restaurant, I felt embarrassed after and will think twice about coming back here.

We just moved to Paso Robles Easter weekend, and discovered this little place just down the road. We have been FOUR times in less than four weeks! Delicious food, great servers, run very efficiently and a super good Cadillac Margarita! We are going to be regulars!

I called in a to-go order tonight Friday 4÷8÷16 @ 750ish, the girl who answered was mumbling and rude on the phone! My husband wanted Fajitas & I wanted the Border Patrol Burrito. She told me it came to $ 30+ dollars whaaaaat!!! Ok I said. And she didn’t even ask me what kind of tortillas I wanted with my Fajitas. SO When I got there to pick up our order, the«No Bra Wearing Hostess in a Regular T-Shirt who Doesn’t Even Look at You When You’re Talking To Her», who took our order, cause I recognized her voice, took our money, didnt double check our order. SO… when we get home… NO F’N TORTILLAS!!! AND I DIDNTGETANYSIDESWITHMY F’N ORDER!!! SOFRUSTRATING

I have been going to Señor Sanchos since I was just a toddler; Both locations, when the Spring St one was still around. After all these years, it has maintained its’ spot as my favorite local restaurant of SLO county. I’ve gone there for almost every birthday, and tag along with my parents for lunch there almost every weekend. I’ll be heading there for my 21st birthday next month. One of the best parts of Sanchos is their consistency. The food is always the same. Whatever you order one time will be the same the next time, so you won’t have any disappointments as long as you liked what you ordered. The chicken tortilla soup is phenomenal. I get this almost EVERY single time I go here. It’s extremely flavorful and they pile on the cheese and tortilla strips! As always, they have the best salsa of any restaurant I’ve ever been to. But if you’re not a big fan of heat, you might not like it, because they make it hot!(That’s the best part for me.) Almost all of the waiters/waitresses are just awesome! On their busier days the service might not be as great but not to the point of not wanting to come back. When you’re a regular, the servers will be bringing your drinks ahead of time because they take special care in letting you know they pay attention to their loyal customers! I personally prefer going here for lunch vs for dinner just because at lunch it’s much less crowded and much quieter. The lunch staff is more attentive, also. Do not come here expecting authentic Mexican food because that’s not what it is. And I’m totally fine with it! It’s American Mexican food, but it’s tasty regardless.

Was always a great place to eat… but had been awhile since we had eaten here. Went two nights ago and it was not good. Seafood tacos had no flavor. Zilch. And huge chicken burrito was mostly beans and rice… and SUPER salty. My son’s corn dog was good! Ha! There are too many good mexican restaurants in our area to compromise with just«okay». My margarita wasn’t even great.

Went in for dinner at the peak time on a Friday night, right around 6. We expected a wait, were told about 25 min and were seated in 10. Our waitress was quick, efficient and friendly, food was great. The place was packed! I was very impressed at the efficiency of the wait staff, much different than our last visit when it wasn’t very busy. One suggestion, please clean your fish tank. There’s loads of poop floating around and my 6 yr old spotted a dead fish stuck under one of the rocks. The staff totally rocked it tonight, well done!

Hadn’t eaten here in a long time with my whole family. It was busy and fun the whole time. And my 8oz NY Steak with cheese enchilada, rice, beans, salad, and tortillas were to the table fast. Best NY Steak around and all that food under $ 20. Thanks Sanchos.

I have been going to Señor Sanchos for many years and have always found good service and great Mexican/American food. Their chips and salsa are to die for. Don’t go there if you want authentic Mexican food because it’s not. Personally I don’t care for authentic. Furthermore, don’t expect goat cheese enchiladas or hammerhead shark tacos. But if you want good Mexican/American food at reasonable prices, then this is the place for you. I have never experienced some of the complaints posted in other reviews. Bad service? Never. Soupy salsa. Nope. The quality of some of the reviewers is questionable(trolls?). The couple who manages Señor Sanchos are terrific. Both are friendly and very hard workers.

This place was so nasty I had to ask God what I did wrong to deserve a meal as horrendous as this. For starters the service was horrible the lady kept forgetting things even when she’d write it down. Multiple tables around us seemed displeased with the service as well. I thought oh well maybe it will go up from here with the food. I was mistaken. I ordered the two enchilada plate(chicken) the chicken looked under cooked and the refried beans on the side were crustier than the Krusty Krab. Never again.

Great service and terrible stale food. I got a charbroiled chicken salad and the meat was so gross. Avoid this place at all cost.

There are reasons that Señor Sancho’s, on Creston Rd. in Paso Robles, is one of my favorite«go to» restaurants in town. Well… it’s not really in town. It’s on the East side, out of downtown and close to my home(Reason 1). Unlike downtown, where finding parking can be problematic, Señor Sancho’s has plenty nearby(Reason 2). I’ve visited the place on all seven days of the week and at all hours; just after opening, mid-day and just before closing The service has always been wonderful(Reason 3). The food is fine. Sunday brunch, lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced and large portioned Mexican inspired entrées(Reason 4). A great, full bar with sports on T.V.(Reason 5) Then there my two favorite employees, Lauren and Tyler. Both work behind the bar; sometimes at the same time, sometimes not. They are professional and personable and always greet me with a smile(Reasons 6&7). I highly recommend Señor Sancho’s.

We dined her last night and had a wonderful meal. The combo enchilada and taco dinner was great and so was the guacamole. It was our first time there in a year or two because we live out of town now but it was just as good as when we lived there in the early 2000’s. The service was great, our guy was very attentive and kept the iced tea coming on a very hot day. Next time in Paso, we will go there again!

Today was a Sad display, been there a few times and it is usually OK but NOT today. The manager made it right by taking the bad food off the bill but I had been waiting for two days to go and enjoy some food, not eat for free. Also the place is getting a little DIRTY. Management needs to get a handle on this stuff soon.

The service was decent. Our server has short blonde hair and was amazing. She hooked myself and my two friends up with ‘last minute’ Happy Hour prices on their beers. We arrived at 5:55pm. She was attentive, quick, and friendly. There were however 2 men who looked to be roughly high school age who stood in the middle of the dining area staring at… something? One seemed to be at the chip bar the other was washing the tables down, but they just stood in the middle of the room. I thought they were watching the door for new customers, but they may have been watching one of the multiple televisions set up. It was unnerving. Especially because they were hovering next to the people in the booth over. I can’t speak for what my friends ate for their food, but let me tell you about mine. When El Pollo Loco serves more flavorful food, you are in trouble. When Taco Bell has a higher quality of refried beans you’re in definite trouble. I ordered a chili verde big burrito. The burrito was average sized. Habaneros has spoiled me indefinitely with their version of a big burrito so seeing that this one was half of that size was disappointing. On the menu it said«your choice of bean». Sadly, I was never asked for a choice of bean. So I got refried. The burrito was bland hell. Not even the sauce has flavor. Not even the cheese. The pork bits I got were flavorless. Luckily it was cooked through, but there was no hint of spice, heat, or even just flavor. The whole meal was absolutely unsavory. Although not as unsavory as the chips and salsa we got. The chips tasted old and the salsa was very garlic-y. I doubt I’ll ever be back. I like flavor, spice, and heat with my Mexican food.

I flew my dad in from frigid Ohio for a warm week surrounding his 90th birthday. We had reservations at one of the pricier restaurants in town for his birthday meal, so we were looking for a Sunday brunch to tide us over until we went to the fancier place in downtown Paso. Señor Sancho’s fit the bill even though we’d heard nothing about it from anyone. I’d seen the sign while driving by. Unilocal reviews were all over the place, so we went with a little hesitation, but my crew was hungry and demanded brunch! The staff, from the front door to paying the check was friendly, helpful, attentive, and courteous. The food had more variety than we expected and tasted good, too. It wasn’t gourmet, but it wasn’t pretending to be. It was solid Mexican, from Baja to Yucatan, with a few extras like hot waffles and build-your-own omelettes. Champagne, too! From my teenage grandson to my vegetarian son to my Korean girlfriend to my dad’s German wife, there were no complaints, and believe me there are complainers in the group. Everyone left with a smile! As I wrote when I checked in, Kayla did a great job. Thanks, Señor Sancho’s, we enjoyed brunch MUCHMORE than our expensive birthday dinner later that day!

I won’t be going back! This used to be a good little place to get some Mexican food. It has really gone down hill. The food is okay. The service is way less than okay. I don’t think they have have any training in dealing with the public or using simple manners. I had to question there cleanliness as well this last visit. They charge $ 6.00 for a drink that I don’t believe they put any alcohol in. This is saying a lot for me as I am not much of a drinker. I really hate to give a bad review like this. I have given it more than a few chances and I am just done now. It makes me sad to see a restaurant that used to be a place you wanted to go to slip like this. It just doesn’t meet that standards anymore especially since we have so many great restaurants in Paso that have great food and are enjoyable.

Man, this used to be a favorite. Could it be that the quality has gone down? Perhaps I have simply eaten at better mexican restaurants as of late? I don’t know. What I do know is that the chips tasted of old oil. The salsa was flavorless, tomatoey(the kind from a can), my peach margarita was all ice and no booze, and the cheese inside my enchiladas was not melted, but rather, cold. The food itself tasted okay, but nothing special. The fried ice cream, however, was a treat. The food is too overly priced for the quallity. The drinks are too expensive for the amount of alcohol actually in them. Service was quick and friendly. Lots of tvs with sports on which was nice. Up the quality or lower the prices, please!
