First visit. Great atmosphere and vibe. Ordered a mocha, which I enjoyed cause it wasn’t super sweet; however, the temp could be a little hotter than warm. Amazing chocolate chip cookies. I would definitely come here again!

Awesome coffee, nice and friendly atmosphere, and fairly priced! Shout out to Shelby and Zippy on giving me some tips on the V60 hand drip. These folks know their coffee. Finally someone in the area that does it right! Live outside the city, but will return when passing through again.

They make a great cup of coffee and have a nice atmosphere. The service is hit or miss here and can be a little slow and mix up your orders. Despite that, I keep coming back for the great coffee.

Very cute/hipster coffee shop near downtown Paso. I tried an iced Miel with cinnamon and honey and hung out for a bit. You can watch the staff make coffee in the back while you work!

First time in and I was sorely disappointed. One girl working the register and coffee machines. I took almost 10 minutes to place my order. The girl behind the counter was working hard and looked very stressed out trying to work the register and fulfill the ordered placed before me. It took another 5 minutes to get my drink. It was not very crowded. I cannot understand why there would be one person working at 7:30am on a weekday. Don’t think I’ll be coming back. I try to support the local businesses but I think you can get a better quality product someplace else that will provide better service. The iced tea was good but not so good to the point where I would wait an extra 10 minutes to get my drink.

Excellent coffee, both the drip coffee and the espresso, and the owner was very nice. Great place to stop in when you’re in Paso Robles!

One of the best coffee places I’ve ever been to! My husband and I came here both mornings during our vacation in Paso. Delicious cappuccinos were had on both occasions — perfect amount of espresso with milk. The space is really open and it’s cool to see their small roasting operation. Highly recommend!

I sent this email to the owners a full week ago, I was expecting a response, a «thank-you for your time», but never heard back. Stopped by to give this shop a second chance. My first cup a few months ago was one of the worst coffees ever. I e-mailed the roasters and they stated that the barista had not followed the brewing instructions and I should have mentioned the problem right then and not sent an email. Well today,(5−6 – 16) I had a three dollar medium cup of the Sumatran. Again a coffee with no body! Give me a break we blend with Sumatran’s because they provide body. I waited until the customers cleared the counter before approaching the roaster with my concerns. They offered me another cup from a different brewer, but it had the same lack of body/flavor. I have been roasting for years and was trained by some of the best in the industry and must say that these guys might know how to roast but they can’t get the brewing standards right. Since I did not make a fuss in front of customers and didn’t drink the cup, the very least they should have done is refund my money! Maybe their market is coffee drinks and they have no motivation to provide a good cup of black coffee. These guys need to get an education in coffee brewing or at the least visit some of the great coffee shops in Santa Cruz, The Bay Area or The Pacific North West. It’s not personal, it’s just coffee.

A nice roomy coffee shop downtown in Paso Robles, and one of the two popular ones, this being the biggest, and it seems most popular with students for caffeine-fueled studies and get togethers. Serious coffee makers, so if you’re a real officianado of the coffee beans this is your place.

Cool coffee place in a cute town. I had a cup of coffee after having Mexican lunch nearby. The coffee tastes good! Whenever I have a chance to come down here again, I will definitely stop here.

If you are a coffee aficionado, someone who is willing to wait the few minutes it takes for a pour over, this place is for you. Yes, they take their coffee seriously, but if you do as well, you will appreciate being able to find a great cup of coffee with a rich taste. There is a small choice of baked on the premises pastries. I had the almond blueberry scone, which was light and delicious. My husband had a gluten-free chocolate donut, which he also enjoyed. It is often hard to find a Starbucks-alternative, serious coffee place in a location as small as Paso. I’m so happy to have found Spearhead.

Service is always quick and courteous. Pastries are delightful when the mood strikes. I like the open atmosphere, and of course, great coffee

Such a peculiar curse, I’ve been graced with: To be forgotten, time and time again. To hear the words uttered, «I’ll have that right out» — all too familiar. It’s a shame, really. Mistakes are made, and in our haste to correct them, more are sure to follow. No matter how mild the temperament, urgency seems to be the catalyst for sub par results. The cappuccino was bitter, thin, and unbecoming. The service and attentiveness, average? One simply can’t expect two baristas and a cashier to properly manage fifteen clients. I’m confident my next visit will be filled with reverence, and I’ll experience a proper representation of what Spearhead has to offer.

Modern & clean design, excellent coffee(for people who actually like coffee), conscientious ownership. Spearhead is officially my new favorite and I’m so happy they’ve found their way to humble Paso. Won’t go anywhere else now, when visiting home.

Hmm how to describe this coffee place? Hipster chic? Modern with an air of pretension? The setting is very open and bright, but also sterile and somewhat corporate feeling. Very simple menu, and we ordered three pour overs. We asked for a very mellow coffee roast and we were reluctantly directed to try the Mexican blend. The guys working kind of scoffed at us when we didn’t seem to know much about coffee, and weren’t super friendly in my opinion. So the coffee… It was incredibly bold, had a somewhat earthy, bitter flavor, with a tangy aftertaste. It was also 4 bucks for a medium coffee. If you like Starbucks esque tasting coffee, and don’t mind paying for it. by all means give it a whirl. Toe, Amsterdam café down the street offers better coffee, better prices and a much warmer, more inviting feel. But then again I think I just prefer a «Friends”-like coffee house :-). On a positive note, they did have gorgeous art work on display. Which explains now how I would describe the feel… like one of those upscale private art gallery, where you are not supposed to touch anything.

How awesome is this place — answer a super! This is our favorite place to get caffeinated downtown. If it weren’t enough that the coffee shop is comfy and modern with artistic flair, the beverages(coffee and tea) are super yummy. My pumpkin spice latte was just the right combination of spice and pumpkin without being overly sweet like Starbucks. My next beverage was a delightful passionfruit jasmine green tea. So much flavor! Can’t wait to go back and try even more delightful drinks.

Turned out to be a great addition to the downtown business scene! Now we have two great places in Paso Robles. Time for the green mermaid to move on. We have great coffee in Paso! Gluten Free homemade cookies… Kids love them! I love them! I look forward to the holiday coffee menu!

3rd wave coffee! This is where to go in Paso Robles to get your perfect cup in the morning or afternoon. I didn’t expect to find this quality of coffee in such a small town. There are limited but very delicious sweets to accompany your coffee. But really the freshly roasted and lovingly prepared beverages are all you need.

True artisanal coffee. Love the atmosphere and aroma. Try the cookies!!! Or don’t. I want them all to myself. They have roasted beans for purchase so you can enjoy in your French press at home.
