Not a bad place but not as cool as it looks either. I’ve been in here a few times and they have a good selection of beers but I always seem to get treated differently immediately following payment… I don’t tend to leave a tab open so it’s easy to see the change when it’s assumed I’m done buying beers… as in eye contact is over immediately. The music is good usually but the atmosphere just seems better suited for people they already know. It’s more of a clubhouse for friends in the area than a place welcome to others. The local crowd is alright but a sausage fest of functioning alcoholics. Enjoy.

So you’re looking to go get some tasty adult beverages. Craft beer, to be more specific. But you don’t want to go downtown, and you don’t want to have to drive to SLO… Queue up The Pour House! With ~30 taps, and a well selected varity of IPAs, Sours, Barleywine, Porters, Stouts, Ales, Hefe’s, and even a beer float or two… you’ll find something you want. Pints or flights, you choose. The flights are 6oz pours, so no little sipper glasses here. This is how you sample. The bar tender we talked to knew what he had on tap and was able to talk intelligently about the beers, the history of the joint, and knew the scene. The inside is quaint, some cool couches, and mostly high-top tables. No food, but pretzel sticks and deli mustard are free. Smart. The do trivia nights, and live music during the week. I’d avoid it during live music nights as it would be WAY too loud in that small space. Though I think trivia night is intriguing and it probably a blast, but I’d want food at the same time. Minor details. Bring your own :) Outdoor seating is nice and there is a high-top bar to sit at on the patio or low top tables. There is a smoking area in front so if you want to enjoy the nice weather hopefully no one is smoking, as you’ll have to have their cigarette smoke linger around you. I’d like to see no smoking here, but as I live in SLO an smoking isn’t allowed I’m just spoiled. I’m looking forward to Silva Brewing coming into town and being available here and can see myself making the trip back up to Paso more regularly to add this place into the rotation.

The pour house is an amazing place! Great beer and friendly staff… Knowledgable people … They do not serve food BUT they will allow outside food! I ordered sandwiches from a pizza place around the corner … One of the best places to listen to live music …

Great, local place. Not cheap. No $ 2 cans or anything hip, but great variety. Can have a Fresno crowd on weekends though.

Local, local, local! This is the locals spot for sure, a little hidden and off the beaten path. Just a few blocks from downtown Paso it is a warm and friendly place to grab a craft beer. Alex the bartender remembers your name(even though it took me forever to remember his). Always a good vibe here. Lots of guest beers on tap, they used to make their own but do not anymore. The offer wine for the gals but is more of a craft beer spot. I just ask Alex what I should have and he’ll pick something I always like. Cute small outdoor area for those who smoke, enjoy a cigar or who just want to hang outside in our beautiful sunshine. Industry appreciation on Thursday afternoons, they have snacks(pizza sometimes) and happy hour prices until close for Industry peeps. Regular happy hour is from 2 – 6 M-F. No food here just chips/snacks and pretzels.

I’m a local and the Pour House is *by far* my favorite place for beer & music in north county. The owner is awesome, the staff is great, the customers are rad, and the beer selection is amazing. Shawn brings in great musicians that you can definitely groove to, dogs are allowed on the patio, & the place is always clean. I recommend it to customers, friends, & all you Unilocalers. Oh, & Steve’s «Shav n Flav» catering truck is usually there – make sure to grab some grub, you won’t be disappointed!

This is my favorite place to grab a drink or two(or 5?). I love the atmosphere, the staff is always friendly. An awesome selection of craft beers(and a hint if you don’t know anything about beers… ask?) Inside and outside seating, with games tucked in the corner for some extra entertainment. Please please never get rid of your Bristol s Cider!

Please don’t read Carol S. review I have been going to the pour house for 2 years. I have never seen a fight or even an argument. Everyone that comes here is welcomed like family. I don’t understand the comment«have to be over 25 or tatted to the hilt» most of the people who come here are 35 and above and great people regardless of tattoos. Since I got stationed in the area they have been my 2nd family.

Great beer selection. Awesome music throughout the week. Also, they’ll soon have beer brewed on premises. Can’t wait for that!

I love it. If ya don’t like a diverse crowd, great music and and an easy vibe… you might not like it. Pour house serves up the best craft beers ever along with a selection of local and traveling musicians that bring unique and heartfelt sounds that all human should hear. Not pretentious, just real. You like blues? Don’t miss the blues jam every other Sunday! Like to dance? Bring it. From motown to folk fusion… dance your butt off. Want to make friends… you will never find a better group of people. Come on in… if ya don’t like it? It’s ok, they will still love you, but there will be more for the rest of us. The Pour House loves and welcomes everyone. So if you love everyone, this is going to be your kind of place.

I felt like I was drinking in someone’s basement. Good selection of beers but the atmosphere is lacking. A few tables and a small bar. Guitars and banjos hanging on the wall. Pretty low key joint if you want to grab a beer with some friends.

If you like a pub that always has something going on then this is a good place. If you like a pub with a great selection of good beers for whatever mood you’re in, then this is definitely the place. Im not big on happy hour specials and promotions anymore. Outgrown that. So I avoid those hours. I live downtown Paso, do it gets points for atmosphere by default.

This place was definitely interesting. I didn’t particularly care for the board of beers which is located behind where customers sit. It made it awkward for me(someone who doesn’t know a ton about craft beer or the preferences of such) to order. A customer at the bar made a joke when I asked for a «lighter» beer. Whatever. My money, my choice. Made me irritated that the guy behind the counter laughed right along with him. They have binders on the table which state that they have been recently updated, however do not list the beers currently on the board, so there are no descriptions. Once again, for the unfamiliar customer, that wasn’t terribly helpful. Nice TVs to watch sports on, and a nice outside sitting area where it appeared one can bring their dogs. I’d go back, but I would need to do my research first before I do.

I love you Pour House and all my Saturday night friends. The only place in town to see live music that isn’t just the usual winery music scene. Shawn actually brings in big city bands. They always start off so-so, but somehow after a couple beers they get better. If u live in town, an Über ride is about $ 5 bucks on a Saturday night.

Interesting place, but to me not in downtown Paso. It is at the far end of Pine Street. It had a lot of beers on tap and cozy atmosphere. Local music playing Thursday through Sunday from 8:30 to don’t know when. Nice place for a beer!
