Vintage Ranch

I just got married here this past weekend and this place is amazing! Between the view, venue and Sonja I could not have asked for a better day. As most people, I had no clue where to begin or what to do to get this wedding planning started and Sonja was the most helpful person I have probably every met. I asked a thousand questions and she never made me feel like I was bothering her. Always greeted me with warmth and made me feel like family. I cannot say enough amazing things about this place and neither can my guests. I highly suggest this location to every single bride! Thank you again for the best day ever!

I am beyond words. To say the least, Sonja feels like family to me after all of this!
We discovered The Vintage Ranch late August 2014. Sonja met with us to show us around the property. We immediately fell in love. Everything was perfect. Sonja was so welcoming, the ceremony site under the 300 year old oak tree was so peaceful and serene, the barn was so quaint and romantic. We booked the next day!
During our year of planning, Sonja was involved the whole time. Even after all of my crazy emails, she would respond to every one! Her daughter, Kaley, was also very responsive and helpful, even while being pregnant! At one point, I believe she was about 8 months pregnant responding to our emails and helping us finalize some details.
The Big House is beautiful and so spacious. We used the Big House for our wedding party and getting ready the day of. The cottage is adorable and perfect for two! My husband and I stayed there the day after our wedding.
We had a lot of detail for our wedding and Sonja was never turned off by our vision. We were able to start setting up Wednesday night through Friday day for our Saturday evening wedding, and we were able to have Sunday and Monday to clean up. She never pressured us to be out sooner, and let us take our time to perfect our vision.
We were getting ready to leave on Monday and Sonja stopped by to give my husband and I a custom made gift for us to remember our day (weekend) at The Vintage Ranch. It was such a beautiful gesture.
Sonja and her family are amazing and I would recommend this venue over and over again. We will definitely be returning to visit, every year :).

For anyone seriously thinking about having the classic Californian rustic wedding, Vintage Ranch is the place to do it because not only will they have everything you need — a giant 300-​year old oak tree, juicy grapes, vines, juicy grapes on vines, a red-​brown barn with barrels and stacks of hay, all sorts of tables and chairs, strings of market lights, 5-​bedroom house, a small cottage, an open grassy field, adequate parking, isolated from the noise of life, a grove of olive trees, you name it – the proprietress, Sonja Lockjaw, is bar none the best, most friendliest, most hard-​working owner one could ever deal with. Whatever crazy idea you have, she’ll move mountains to make it happen. She gets it. Even if your plans fall through and you have to regrettably withdraw your the-​best-​day-​of-​your-​life plans, Sonja is more than accommodating and will make sure money doesn’t become a sticky point. Relations will not sour. She’s not looking only to make a buck, like a lot of the people in the wedding industry (sadly); she truly is there to help you. To be a part of your story. Talking and working with her the last five months have been truly refreshing because people like her exist. This Unilocal review doesn’t do her or Vintage Ranch justice. Trust me: when you and your significant other get out of the car, you’ll know exactly how my fiancé and I felt that cool late November morning. I recommend VR and Sonja wholeheartedly.

The Vintage Ranch was the most beautiful venue I could have imagined to have my vow renewal and reception. The ceremony was in the middle of the estate vineyard under the 300 year old oak tree. It was absolutely breathtaking! The reception was held in and around the big red barn on the properties main grounds. The owners responded to every request promptly and let me run with my ideas for décor. They rent out the 5 bedroom main house as well as the cute 1 bedroom guest house for you to use so you have the run of the entire property for the weekend. This was so helpful, as we didn’t have to worry about clean up until the next day, and we were able to get ready right on the property. I would absolutely recommend The Vintage Ranch to anyone looking for a beautiful, rustic vineyard venue.
