Well I’m in a love/hate situation with this restaurant. I’ll start with the day the food pretty much tasted like my grandma’s. Don’t worry I didn’t cry. My coworker recommended me this place because of a new Peruvian chef in the kitchen. I was game of course. They offered menu which is basically a lunch special from $ 7.50-$ 8.50. You get a soup, an entrée, a tiny desert and a soda. My soup was the patasca which has beef, potatoes and mote(a type of peruvian corn) I then ordered the carapulcra which is basically a stew composed of previously dried potatoes an pork and comes with white rice. The food retained Peruvian authenticity and it was flavorful. Here comes the gastronomic debacle. We ordered take-out for the office. We shared a fish ceviche, jalea(fried seafood), and a tuna causa(tuna in between two layers of cold yellow potato) and right away we noticed that the food was a disaster. The ceviche was overcooked by the lemon juiced and it was drenched(too much juice). Next the jalea was overcooked in the fryer and they forgot to change the cooking oil because the seafood was dark brown. The causa was good but the damage was already done. It’s disappointing because this place has so much potential. I will give this place another chance just because of the unbelievable menu I had. Come on guys step it up!

My mother and I went to this restaurant and really enjoyed the food. We assumed they made Peruvian style rotisserie chicken, but they don’t. Still, they have an extensive menu and the mixed seafood platter we ordered was delicious. It was a huge portion that could feed at least 3 people, and it was beautifully presented. The ceviche and green sauce are H O T. The homemade Chicha morada drink was excellent, and our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

Tried Griselda’s about 3 months ago. Their ceviche was awesome, their jalea not so. Service took a little long, but the food was delish. Friend ordered Bisteck con tallarines verdes, it was good too. They also do a great job with their pisco sour. Will def. come back.
