I went to buy garlic knots and a slice from the pizza store. The garlic knots were good but what I did not like was that the back of the restaurant was infested with rats in their store! I don’t care how good the food might taste. If there is a pest problem in a restaurant, that is not a restaurant that is getting more than 2 stars from me.

Tony’s is great, we come from Nutley NJ just to get Pizza from here, this is how Pizza should be! Getting hungry just writing this post, one thing I do have to say, if you’re paying with a credit card, you have to walk them through it, they don’t know the difference from debit and credit swipes, they kept on asking me for a pin when I swiped my Credit card, other than that it’s all good.

After hearing great reviews from friends I decided to give this place a shot. Me and my friends ordered a plain pizza. We got a pizza filled with oil. I was very disappointed, I walked away with a bad stomachache. Nice workers but the food isn’t as good.

Unfortunately this pizzeria does not have the original Tony’s pizzeria recipe. I’ve tried the pepperoni and mushroom pizza and I have to say it is average. The size is pretty large but the flavor isn’t there like it used to be. My pizza was served almost cold at first and I asked for it to be warmed up again and this was after a 10 minute wait. All in all the pizza isn’t the ‘real’ Tony’s pizza.

Tony’s Pizzeria is a long-standing gem in the busy streets of Main Avenue. Tony makes one of the best Buffalo-chicken pizza! It was a great balance of chicken, cheese and spice. This pizzeria also sells Colombian-style pastries and baked goods that are worth mentioning. They also make pasta and charcoal grilled dishes. Call the pizzeria to inquire about their specials :-)

Tony’s Pizza makes great pizza. it used to be Tony Berretta Pizza but they dropped the Berretta since it was sold. the new owner makes the pizza the same way. the crust has a crisp yet hearty flavor(like an Italian bread), the sauce is the secret and since i was a kid it has always been the same, kind of a mix of a tangy sweet with oregano. I have always enjoyed it when i was a kid and now i bring my kids there. the slices are HUGE! the only thing is it is in downtown passaic. if you like a thin but hearty pizza you will love this place.
