Del fiore is quality, quality with a large price tag– Please go somewhere else when it comes to coldcuts, its board head, we are on long island, they charge 2 bux more per pound than supermarkets. The steaks are great, the homemade sausage, mozz, pastas. All good as well. My gripe is that they have no fresh pasta just frozen. They charge an arm and a leg for everything, and I don’t think they are all that overly friendly either. Just straight forward, which is really fine. I miss when the pizza shop was right there as well as I feel the families greed has made the entire group of businesses that much more undesirable. This is not to say it’s undesirable altogether there is great stuff to be had, very good butcher at very high prices. I splurge on some steaks here and there, burnt ends are always available, and a great spot in a pinch.

I love this establishment in Patchogue. I haven’t been in there in a while. It used to be where you would enter the pizza please from North ocean and the pork /meat/pasta for was directly on the corner entrance of North ocean in the side street with parking in the back but there wasn’t a lot of parking. I love rice balls and I’m waiting to get my aunt’s mother’s hand-me-down hundred percent family recipe. So until then I would always go in there and buy there rice balls. They sell two kinds one is just rice and cheese inside obviously a vegetarian or people who don’t care for having the chop meat and peas the other one obviously has been chop meat & peas. My favorite way to make them as if you’ve ever eaten @ Caio Baby… I would the Browning in a saucepan for a little bit or Brown in the oven let them cook. Then take the pan out. I would cut a little bit to see that the sensor was warm that the cheese is melted. At that point you could cut it into 4 pieces vertically diagonally or just leave it and then you pull your sauce on it springboard shredded muscle or if you are fresh deli slices. And then put it on broil so you get the nice melted bubbly cheese with just a little Brown do it. When done sprinkle some parmesan on it you can also sprinkle some parsley. Makes a great appetizer for one or two people were he buy more depending on the amount of people. Also good if you’re craving something Italian but also want to have a protein like seafood, red meat or poultry as a side. They have homemade pasta ready to go and frozen. All their cold cuts or boar’s head & they have tons of different varieties of salami /pepperoni etc. Lots of fresh pasta salads rhetoric a cold antipasto salad 4 a pasta salad with some of those ingredients. I love Italian food the best and it is so incredibly hard living in Connecticut the past three years to find really anything good. In 3 years I found one restaurant that made shrimp parmesan…, and it wasn’t anything to write home about. I want to go back to Long Island so bad but unfortunately due to having to retire early from 14 years of teaching and health issues that are slowly getting better I had no choice but to retire early so my place and now live in the armpit of the shoreline in Connecticut and a huge studio apartment over a relative’s two and a half car garage. Calgon or shall we say for the love of Italian food take me away

Oh man Unilocalers! Where do we even start?! This is my families«Go To» pork store for years now. They’ve got it all! The Sausage links, The Sausage Spirals, Fresh mozzarella, other cheeses, Rice balls, the Veal cutlets, the stuffed bread, other breads, the roast, chicken cutlets, meatballs The list is honestly endless! My family and I have tried mostly everything, and it’s never been a disappointment. The store is always clean, shelves always seemed to be stocked, that meat showcase is clean and spotless which makes you feel that much better about buying raw meat, and to top it all off the family staff is all friendly as well! It makes buying items that much more easier. If you have not stopped into Del Fiore’s before, I highly suggest you give them a try. Make a nice authentic tasting Italian dinner tonight!

I am always on a quest to find an amazing Italian pork store. I will travel far and wide… I thought they were in Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, even the north end of Boston. Boy was I wrong. «When I’m wrong I say I’m wrong”(quoting from Dr. Jake Houseman). This is a great store, and the quality of the food fabulous… Fried veal cutlets, fried chicken cutlets, meatballs(beef, pork,&veal), riceballs, potato croquettes, eggplant parm, sweet dry sausage, roasted peppers with garlic, marinara sauce, meat sauce, fresh pasta, breads, cheeses, assorted olives, assorted stuffed breads, sausages(sweet & hot), and the freaking best fresh mozzarella I’ve eaten. Yes I tried all of these items last night and I was in heaven. You can’t get better. Family owned business, since 1971 and this is the real deal! Fabulous customer service, and if you are looking for the Best in Italian pork store on Long Island, I don’t care were you live, you have to get to Del Fiore!
