The food is great, and the prices are good. I only have two issues — unless you go in person. do not expect your order to be accurate and also its 2016 can we get some online pay methods? Its very hard to keep cash just laying around you know.

I got a certificate from and when I called to ask about it the person on the phone didn’t even know what that was and kept denying that they had that. Not until I asked to speak to the manager that she suddenly remembered that they did have something. Then I saw the menu online on Unilocal AND the one that they provided from (which were both the same) and ordered 2 Combo #2’s and had everything ready for a party. When we got home we saw that it was completely different. We called and they told us that they had over 10 different combos and that we were looking at the OLD menu. SOPLEASE stop posting the old menus and put the new one. And stop providing sites with the wrong information. Instead of the chicken and ribs that I expected, I got pernil that was so salty that it was inedible. Never going back here again and I had to order pizza from domino’s in order to make up for the lack of food that I expected.

I don’t eat out or order too much Dominican food since much of it can be made at home, but when I do, this place is one of my more regular spots. The plus side is that they have a large daily variety, they deliver, take credit/debit cards(I think there is a minimum to charge), and they have some awesome lunch buffet specials during the weekdays at great prices. They are also maybe one of the few restaurants in Paterson that still serve some decent arroz con gandules/moro. Some other places taste like Goya instant rice, but that isn’t the case here. Habichuelas are always reliably tasty. What reduced my rating somewhat, is that some of the meats are a little saltier than what I’m accustomed to. Since I usually make a big deal about a restaurant’s roast pork(pernil), the pork here tends to be a little on the salty and dry side here, which is my only criticism. Other than that, the food is definitely better than most others in the area, the prices are very fair, and the service is always friendly and on point. I will continue to be a customer, and recommend anyone in the area to give it a try.

Some guys at the office get takeout from Puerto Plata every month or so. Daily specials are $ 5.95 so it is affordable. I am partial to their chicken but have been unhappy with the beef and pork dishes. Just a bit too ethnic for my taste. The menu reads Rancho Puerto Plata Restaurant.
