Decent beer, ok food(order after a few but, the tamales are superb!), and a five star atmosphere. A hole-in-the-wall worth checking out. Not too loud, not too sports oriented, and one of my favorite trivia night spots. A very obviously close knit staff who will most likely treat you the same and, a super hot cook to boot!

This is a laid-back place to relax and enjoy good craft brews. Servers are friendly and attentive and the food is good, too – the Cuban is a favorite. Wednesday at 7 is «trivia night,» which is a hoot.

Very small brewery but has some good beer. Can hold 20 taps, at 17 beers when I visited. Quality beer overall, did not enjoy the black ipa though. Too much black, very little ipa taste. Food sounded great but did not have a chance to try. Service was a VERY slow, especially with it not being very busy. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Love this place. Great beer, order at the bar. Table service is more occasional than the rule. The taps rotate so don’t be too upset if they don’t always have your favorite. It’s small, but they are expanding to new digs. Be patient the crew is awesome, even when it’s crazy busy, just relax. They do their best. Paw Paw brewing has a yummy sandwich menu. It’s not gourmet, but it’s tasty. Remember they are a brewery first. I love catching a great band when we are there. Keep up the great work. Cheers

Great place. Prompt service, good beer, and I LOVED the Pesto Chicken Pannini I had for lunch. I seriously can not wait to come back!

Beer was ok. The service was poor. The food menu is probably to big for the sandwich maker in the kitchen to keep track of. They were out of stuff and only informed me only when I ordered sandwich. The server was very slow. Everything about the experience here seemed very amateur. Only leaving 3 stars because of the beer was ok.

We read about the prime rib burgers and couldn’t wait to try one! After a 5 hour drive we were hungry. Unfortunately, it took 45 minutes to get our 3 burgers! 20 minutes before they were even put on the grill. They weren’t even busy! There was 1 ticket ahead of us(we can see the tickets on the wall). The cook had no sense of urgency… nonchalantly walking back and forth… getting a drink for himself… as if he was told not to hurry so we would drink more during our wait. What’s up with the cook wearing gloves too? He touches everything with his gloves on and then touches the food! This restaurant surely should do the cooking where customers can’t see everything the cook does… or doesn’t do! Next time we will eat before we go in for a beer.

My husband and I have been trying a new brewery every weekend and this week it was Paw Paw Brewing Company. We tried about 6 of their beers and really enjoyed them, not a bad beer among them. We went on a Sunday afternoon so the place was busy, but laid back. The atmosphere was cool and what sold it for us was the live music playing when we arrived(I guess best classified as folk music/bluegrass). The music fit the setting and made for a really enjoyable lunch. The food is super cheap and surprisingly good. We would definitely come back.

I was just tooling through Paw Paw en route to the interstate when I came across this brewery. At first glance one might be hesitant… but don’t be. This little brewery is a helluva find. I won’t go through all their beers but will say I had 3 an a taster and not a bad one in the lot. The black IPA was outstanding and one of the better IPAs I’ve had in a while. This place is a dive but a gem of a dive. Great feel inside, love the mug club, bar staff is cool and friendly and know their beer and even the bar food is good. I’m glad I have found a brewery off the interstate and away from the masses to sip a great beer and just relax for a few minutes. Great job here!

Having been to the Paw Paw area for years, I’ve always gone for one thing: sun! As well as friends, boats and the lake and of course… booze. So what happens when Sun is replaced with Rain? We drink elsewhere! Paw Paw Brewing Company was the first place that ever brought me farther than the McDonald’s off M-40, and I enjoyed it. I’d definitely come back! This is a small bar/brewery, so be prepared to get cozy with your neighbors. Sadly I didn’t eat anything, but the grill smelled FANTASTIC. I am just about your typical girl beer drinker — I don’t like IPA’s or anything too heavy, but do love me a good weiss beer or cider. So when I saw both a cider and a green apple ale, I was torn. When I asked the server for her opinion, she mentioned that some folks get the green apple ale with a shot of cider — so I did — so good! Would definitely try this again. Hubby had two beers — a maple ale and an oatmeal stout — and he wasn’t impressed with either. Though perhaps were spoiled with all the craft breweries in the Chicago area. I’m docking for that reason — he’s the bigger beer drink after all — but I’d still definitely return on a rainy day!

Good beer and a fun people. They have a huge local following that comes here and they are all so welcoming. They don’t have a huge menu, but from what I saw the food looked good. If you are doing a beer tour you should definitely put them on the list. My favorite is the Two Paws IPA my husband loves the oatmeal stout. Cheers

With plenty of time and growing pains diminishing, this place has picked back up to what it was in the beginning. I love the way that they collaborate with other breweries and how they continue to make advancements toward being the best. I like that the beer names stay true to locals things and not cheesy names like some have chosen to use.

If you live in Kalamazoo this place is a bit of a jog, but I definitely enjoyed making the trip out. If you were to drive by too fast in the winter you may not realize this little metal shack is a brewery! This place is small and the ground slightly unleveled– which makes sitting on bar stools a little scary, but hey, it definitely made things exciting. You can definitely tell they have their loyal regulars because mugs lined 99.9% of their walls! Awesome. Also, on the way out I noticed the front patio with what appeared to be a set-up for hop-vines around it– great for extra seating and beautiful in the summer. I did not order food, but there was a wide variety of sandwiches on the menu. Honestly, if you don’t find a sandwich on their menu that sounds appealing then you should probably just go back to Subway where you belong. ;) The brewery also has some pretty good beer selections. I noticed there is a 2 drink limit on their specialty beers, but they’re 8% ABV on average, so I’m wondering if it’s just because they brew limited amounts of each? Regardless, the vanilla porter(not a specialty) was really great! Very light nodes of vanilla.

I’m in love with Paw Paw Brewing Company’s food! I know. You expected me to talk about their beer because obviously it’s a brewery, however, I happen to be a teetotaler. *GASP* That’s right. I don’t partake of the alcohol, so if you are looking for a review of the beer I won’t be of any help. However, their homemade root beer is a nice and strong alternative for non-drinkers. Now that that’s out of the way let me begin to describe the impossible deliciousness that is the PPBC’s paninis and various other food items. I haven’t had a chance to try everything, but what I have tried has left me wanting more! The Pesto Chicken Panini and the Southern BBQ Chicken Panini have been more than wonderful. I don’t know how he does it, but the cook makes something as simple as grilled sandwiches a scrumptious delight to eat. They have the perfect amount of grilling and the perfect amount of toppings. One of my favorite things is being able to order a half sandwich which still comes with your choice of Block & Barrel chips. I’ve also eaten the Quesadilla Basket and it comes with enough food for two people! I come here for Trivia every Wednesday evening at 7pm because I really want to win a gift card to come back and eat more paninis! The pricing for the food items is out-of-this-world! $ 1.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich, $ 2 for jumbo soft pretzel that comes with beer cheese, and $ 5 for a half panini and chips. I have yet to try their $ 1 tacos on Taco Tuesday, but I’d bet they are just as delicious as everything else I’ve tried. Drinkers I know seem to really love their beer so I’d venture to say it’s some great stuff. Parking is limited to about 15 – 20 cars so get there early if you are trying to make an event. Seating inside is also very limited and often times you’ll end up sharing a table with a new friend :) Hopefully they will be able to expand soon.

We were looking for a brewery to try on our way back from Kalamazoo and thought we would give Paw Paw Brewing Company a shot based on Unilocal reviews. Food — You can choose from many different variations of paninis that can be turned into wraps served with a bag of chips. The food is okay for what it is, but don’t expect much. Beer — I want to give them the benefit of the doubt on the beer. I tried the KUA and felt like something was off with the taste. I even tried a sample of the session IPA and again thought something wasn’t right. Maybe if it was another day or a different beer, but the beer I tried was nothing to write home about. Atmosphere — The place is small, but has mugs hanging around for regulars which was a cool feature. Wait staff was pleasant, friendly, and attentive which I always appreciate. I am sure it is a nice place to visit for locals and people in the area, but I don’t think we will head back when we are in Michigan. I wouldn’t recommend it for travelers looking to stop at one of the many breweries while traveling on I-94. There are so many options that I would give a different one a try.

Normal small town brewery where everyone knows everyone else and the owner is cooking your food and brewmaster swings through to say hello and tell ya about what’s in the works. Around 15 different drafts and most are around $ 5 each. Food is delicious. Every night has a theme. We went on Tuesday night which is tacos for $ 1. They are beef soft shell tacos and are actually ample and taste great.

Pretty cool little brewery by the highway in paw paw. Very much a locals place but beer is good and the staff is friendly. Come in and try a flight of beer and stay a whole. My fav of the day was the Rye and KUA.

My kinda’ place! Another one of our stops on the great tour of the Mid-West over Christmas. Paw Paw Brewing Company was one of my fave spots for sure! Tiny little bar, with a great big feel. Here we had a couple beers, played a couple games of Sequence and had a little bite to eat. I had the Coconut Porter and it was ta-die-for! Just a hint of coconut and not super heavy. I loved it, I think I had 3LOL The other crowed favorite was the St. James English, I think this is a popular amongst most as well. For some reason on this day, the Paw Paw got a bit overwhelmed with the amount of guests in the place. Every single seat was taken, and there were probably 15 people crowding the bar. If you know the size of this place you know it is a lot. The poor servers just couldn’t keep up, at no fault of their own, they were doing the best they could. It took a few extra minutes to get our wrap sandwich, but it was so tasty when it arrived we didn’t really care anymore. The owner seems to be an awesome guy, knows what he is doing and works the bar sometimes himself and that is pretty awesome in my book. I will for sure be back on our next visit to The .zoo! :-) We even liked it so much we ran over to their general store that is down the street in the building where they do their brewing and bought a shirt to bring home.

Ok brewery. Nothing spectacular but the server was quick and the beer was cold. Do not bother to come here for the food. If it can’t be nuked or put in a portable panini press, it can’t be done.
