Stopped in bc it is located next to our hotel room. I was not expecting much from this place to be honest. They were dead at dinner time on a Saturday, not a good sign of an banging restaurant. The servers seemed miserable like they would have rather been anywhere but work that night. My food was surprisingly good to say the least. I had the shrimp and fries(didn’t taste like it was out of a bag at all, seemed fresh even the fries). My friend had the Cajun BBQ wings, that he raved about(I thought they sprinkled some seasoning on them and poured some BBQ sauce on top… nothing special but, ok.) If i am ever back in town i would be willing to give it another try.

The wings and ribs here are pretty decent and they have the NFL ticket, which is a major plus for out-of-towners. They have about 5 tv’s right at the bar and will usually put on whatever game you want to watch w/out a fuss. The service can be spotty in general, but if you sit at the bar, the bartenders are usually on their game. It’s the typical«if they’re busy, service is pretty good, but if they’re slow, so is the service» type deal. It can be a little hard to see from Hwy 17, but if you just pull in like you’re going to the Piggly Wiggly, it’s off to the right. Plenty of parking!

Had great experiences dining in. Love the wings and all the sauces they have! Have had a few issues with ordering take out, specifically asking for boneless wings and getting bone in wings instead! If you like wings definitely the place for you!

Felt like wings while on vacation and tried Carolina Wings and Rib house. I had a dozen wings –6 hot and 6 Buffalo Cajun ranch. The buffalo cajon ranch wing were very unique and tasty. The hot wings were not hot enough for me but were good. All the wings were very meaty. I just don’t understand why you cannot order 2 types of wings when ordering 12. Come on now! they charged me for 2 orders of six. My wife had ribs and wings. She had the carolina rub on the ribs. The meat fell of the bone and she just loved the ribs. She had 6 Honey hot wings which were both sweet and hot. I would have given this place more stars if it were not for the way they charge for the wings. How tough is it to make different wings!

We come to this place every year on our summer beach trip to South Carolina. For the past 5 years we have been very pleased with the service and quality of food. Unfortunately this year the food arrived at out table cold, and it took 2 hours for our food to even arrive. It’s under new management, but it’s quality of both service and food has gone into the crapper. We are sad to say goodbye, but we will not return to Carolina Wings.

$ 7.99 lunch buffet consistening of full salad bar, two types of wings, BBQ ribs, baked chicken and soup/beans. Outstanding deal. They had a full menu which looked extensive, but we just had the buffet deal. Wings were tasty and meaty. The ribs were just ok, definately would not order them off the menu though as wings seems to be the main item here. In the same shopping center as Piggly Wiggly on Hwy 17 in the center of Pawley’s Island.

A friend of mine likes ribs and wings as much as I do told me about this place. The staff was nice as I came through the door. Like most sports bars TV’s every where. When discussing my order with my waitress the she talked about the different sauces and on the wings and ribs, hot or sweet and spicey. The menu had burgers, but most people had wings, or the Rib’s… This is a South Carolina chain that I’d never heard of, but I would go back! The ribs where tender, and had a good taste, my wings hot and spicey, the side of fried chips topped this meal off. While I was there a party that had gathered for a football game, I noticed the wait staff took good care them. That all ways empress’s me. I didn’t sample the hole menu but what I had was good.

Hubby and I stopped in during Spring Bike Fest mid afternoon when all was quiet. It took awhile to get service. We think the place either changed shifts from lunch to dinner or there weren’t any available wait staff to take our order. Tables weren’t cleaned from the lunchtime crowd as the tables and chairs seemed out of their place. We ordered dry rubbed wings and sauce on the side with a side of fries. The gal who waited on us asked us if we wanted ours crispy, not fried. So we said yes. They came out hot and sorta dry-crunchy. We think they were baked a little too long. ‘Large, meaty wings’ they are not. Honestly, we’ve had better. But the beer was cold and the food was hot. The 3 out of 5 stars is being very generous. Perhaps the rating will be higher in the evening when dinner starts or just at the start of lunch when the restaurant is fully staffed. We shall give it another go when we return in the fall.

We started going to CW about 6 years ago on our first trip to Litchfield before we moved here. I thought it was a good value for the money and we went back often, especially for the convenience. I must admit that the quality of the food has dropped considerably and the service has gotten worse. Not a bad place to go watch a ball game & have some wings but I don’t go there for meals with my family any longer.

This review is based solely on take-out of the wings. They are good, large, meaty wings! Carolina Wings doesn’t just do hot/medium/mild. No, sir. You can get dry rubs or wet sauces, and there is a long list of options. Since I like spice on my wings, I tried the Carolina Rub and the Cajun. The rub was smoky and nice, especially since your hands stay a lot cleaner when there’s no messy wet sauce. You have your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing with each order. I think blue cheese is a no-brainer, but it’s nice for people who don’t like blue cheese, I guess. These wings are seriously large! They do not wimp out on portion sizes here. It is the south, y’all.
