Large portions, reasonable prices. We sat in the bar area during happy hour with discounted appetizers and $ 2.50 pints. They brew their own beers which is exactly what we were looking for. I had the Peach Wheat and a barley wine type beer and they were both good. I had a crab cake which was large and flavorful. We also had the scallops which were undercooked just a little, but still very fresh so we ate them anyway.

Loved the food. We sat outside and overlooked the water. It was a little hot but they had fans and it was under a covered deck. The pimento cheese app was really good and so were the fried pickles. I had the chicken and waffles(got my gravy on the side and a side of syrup) and couldn’t eat it all since we had the apps and some biscuits they brought to us as well. Salads seemed really good and others with us loved the shrimp and said the steak was good as well. Would def go back!

It’s a pub-like bar and restaurant that attempts to give variety of healthful salsa and sumptuous southern classics. They do have a smattering of starters; the black bean hummus was worthy of note. The mains dishes as well as the service were passable. Nothing tremendous, but a good meal after a long day of travel. They do have a covered back patio facing a pond, and if you get there in the afternoon, you should be in good shape as far as being in shade.

Scallops over grit cakes with succotash… most excellent!!! My wife had the prime rib steak sandwich and enjoyed it immensely. Can’t go wrong here… Great food, nice people, wonderful atmosphere.

Good pub food, and the trivia is fun. I got the plow man’s platter. It was decent, but not amazing — deli style ham and turkey, and chunks of cheddar, and what I think was mozzarella, and a few other things. Husband got the fried fish special platter, and it was good enough he didn’t share. We also got some Thai chili wings, really good.

My review is simply on a steak salad and it was Delicious. There was indoor and outdoor seating. We were there around 3 pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was quiet, but it appeared to be family friendly. And the Bathrooms are clean!(Huge bonus)

It has been a year since our bad experience at Quigley’s and as we approach our next anniversary I was recalling the story from last year to coworkers today and realized I never updated my Unilocal review. Although we have not returned to Quigley’s(or Pawleys Island) since our anniversary diner last year, we did receive a genuine and heart felt apology from one of the owners of Quigley’s a few days after our experience. I do not want my one bad experience to overshadow the number of fun nights with drinks and small plates we had the years before when we were locals. Although our experience last year was a disappointment, all in all we are fans and know that most of the time Quigley’s is a great place to visit if in the Pawleys Island area.

Had Mother’s Day dinner here with my family. Outdoor dining view is great. Debbie was our waitress, high energy, very efficient! My husband loved the peanut butter cake. They even brew their own beer.

Good place to grab a beer after a round on Pawley’s Island. Nice patio and the brewery puts out a solid beer. The food prices are a little high for my taste so I stuck with the bar food. Wings were solid but not memorable.

It was the Friday night after Thanksgiving for my first visit, but I really enjoyed this place. It is situated on the river in Pawleys Island, in a shopping centre across from Litchfield. I must admit I was a little nervous as we drove in. We made our way to the back of the parking lot and there it was finally. I felt some immediate relief as we rounded the corner. It is a large establishment from the outside, although it seemed kind of small once we went in. We sat at the bar and started with a couple of Quigley“s beers… namely the Irish Stout and the Long board. The stout was quite delicious. You can order the pint or half pint size, so if you’re not sure if you’ll like something, get the smaller serving initially. It also keeps your beer cooler. The bar area is a little small but adequate. The bartender was very attentive and met all of our needs. Since yesterday was Thanksgiving and we had well over stuffed ourselves at that feast, our bellies were aching for more food, so we decided to order more tonight. We got the tuna tacos, chicken ceasar salad, and fish and chips. No one complained and there was not a speck leftover. The conversation did come to a small lull because our faces were full! I have heard that everything on the menu is good and would definitely venture to try other items on a subsequent visit. I would love to see this place during daylight hours and maybe sit overlooking the water. I would be interested to try some other beers as well. This first visit was good enough to peek my interest to return when in this area again.

My fathers favorite place so we go there –a lot! His love of their fish tacos and IPA beer is warranted –they are both AWESOME. The mingo salad is my personal fav. Quigleys has a great bar, nice dining room and back porch all of which are constantly busy so be flexible.

Not impressed. The service was mediocre and the food was blah. The fish and chips were soggy and the fries were old. Chicken and waffles were dry and flavorless. Nice outside seating but food wasn’t worth it. The tavern fries were very good. Won’t return

Nice tavern. Large cocktail/drink menu — decent house-brewed beers. Fried green tomatoes + goat cheese + Thai chili sauce + shrimp were delicious. The chicken and waffles were a hit and they’re seared tuna and salmon were fresh too. Quick service too.

Operating solely by the Unilocal app and GPS, this was a bit tricky to find, especially in the dark, but we had spent a very warm time at Brookgreen Gardens and needed somewhere open late that had a wide range of options. We turned in at two wrong parking lot entrances and circled around before we finally found the right one. When we got in and took our seats outside on the patio, we discovered why the layout was so quirky. The patio looks out over a lovely pond surrounded by other buildings. It’s not the ocean, but it was beautiful and romantic. There was a TV out there playing a Cubs game — almost as good as roses and candlelight. And I don’t *think* any of the many mosquito bites I got that day happened there. I was still full from lunch, but sweetie was starving, so we ordered two appetizers and an entrée to share. We had the hummus and pita bread, which I’m sad to say was mostly disappointing. It might just be a matter of taste, but while we both loved the *idea* of the black-eyed peas over the top, they just didn’t have as strong a flavor as we’ve come to look forward to from an excellent restaurant hummus. The pita was soft and warm, but it did not make up for the bland hummus. The pretzels were pretty close to incredible, though. They were hot and soft and flaky, and the mustard had just the right amount of tang. They ended up being the dish we touched the least, though, because we knew they’d keep the best overnight and be easiest to eat in the car the next day. The second-day pretzels kept all their flavor but were predictably less soft and flaky. I’d have liked more salt personally, but I am a saltoholic. My epitaph will read, «Please sprinkle with salt.» Finally, we shared the fish tacos(an order of three), without cheese on one of them. Those were the least memorable of the three dishes, being not so exciting as the pretzels and not disappointing like the hummus. We both enjoyed them without remark. The service was friendly, fast, helpful. Practically the whole bar said goodbye to us when we left, which wasn’t nearly as creepy as it might sound. But overall it was a restaurant that I’d put in the«I’ve got no complaints» category rather than the«it was a highlight of my vacation» one.

Loved the local beer, happy hour deals, the live music and the home made pimento cheese dip. Do I need to say more? I do? Ok… the staff is really friendly and it doesn’t take them long to recognize the regulars. The outside seating is cool if it’s not too hot…

I’ve been a fan of Quigley’s since they opened back in 2007. I was living in Myrtle and one of my co-workers husband was the original GM. She introduced us to their hummus that she brought into work and I was instantly hooked. When I lived up that way, I went anytime I ventured south. I live in Charleston now and was recently visiting friends in Pawleys. Four of us stopped in for lunch and I was event more impressed than I’ve been in the past. I typically enjoy sitting outside, but it was a little chilly so we did a table for four inside. After they seated tables on either side of us it was a little tight, but nothing major. For old times sake, I immediately ordered the hummus and it’s still fantastic. They bring out biscuits to start with and whatever the specialty butter is. Ours was sweet potato and it was delicious on those little biscuits. Amongst out table, we ordered the Fried Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Chicken and Waffles, and I had the Sheppard’s Pie. For the price, the portions were enormous. Every plate at the table was piled with food. We all had so much in front of us that sharing wasn’t necessary so I didn’t try any of the other dishes. I can say that the Sheppard’s Pie was excellent and loaded with lamb meat. Some was shredded underneath the potatoes, but there were also large chunks tossed in there. It came with a dish of green beans cooked perfectly… still firm without being raw. This easily turned into two full meals as there was no way I was finishing this plate in one sitting. Our waitress Jennie was so sweet and attentive. She made a mistake on one of my friends orders which wasn’t a big deal, but the dish needed to be remade. Not only did Jennie get the new one made quickly, she offered to bring my friend some soup while she waited, got her new meal out quickly, and then ended up taking the meal off the bill without anyone even asking for that. It seemed like she was having a pretty stressful shift, but was still happy to be serving us and she really did an amazing job. Food aside, with service like that, I would be back just for Jennie being so pleasant.

Super nice staff. Bright and cheery interior. Really good food. Really good beer. I had a Nut Brown Ale and it was scrumptious– sort of like a mild coffeeish Porter. My lunch was a $ 10 order of Fish tacos — flour tortillas stuffed with cod, jack cheese, cabbage and tomatoes served with two salsas. I went with sauteed spinach as my side and it was really really good! There is nothung I didn;t like about Quigleys– they get solid grades on every count.

Like Julia, we were staying(roughly) across the way at the Litchfield Resort. Since we had decided to take a quickie trip, and hadn’t wanted to cook — though we had a kitchen in the room — we went out for dinner. and the first place we came to was Quigley’s. Unfortunately, the wait was over an hour. To their credit, there were eight of us, but an hour seemed a bit extreme. So while we waited, I walked around the corner, to some other place, and there was no wait at all — at least for a minute, and while everyone decided if they wanted to change venues, that hole closed up. So back to Quigley’s we went. As it turned out, it was only about half an hour, so it really wasn’t that bad. One tip, however: Make reservations. Yes, this little hole-in-the-wall takes reservations. I don’t know if you have to have them way in advance, or if they are the«call ahead» variety, but there were plenty of people coming in who had them, which is what pushed us back so much. In fact, one party had seats for 25. In actuality, I think about 18 showed — which was perfect, because we took the rest. We ended up sitting on the porch, because we didn’t want to wait another half hour(plus), and though it was raining and chilly, there are heaters — which come and go — and it is covered. Not a bad choice. Not a great choice, either, but not a bad one. The service isn’t good. It’s not bad, but it isn’t good. Once we finally did get our food, it was bland. I mean blue-plate special in Florida bland. The blazing burger special(or something like that), which was served with jalapeño bacon and ghost pepper cheese, barely registered a blip on the sense-o-meter. Which I just made up, so anyone who creates an App with that name and sells it to Facebook for a billion dollars, don’t forget where you heard it. Again, it wasn’t bad. It just wasn’t good. For a first night when you don’t have other choices and don’t feel like driving far from Litchfield, not bad. Otherwise, you may want to take your chances elsewhere.
