Ok i have to update my review. Due to convenience my family and I have have been going back to this tailor. I have refused to go back in due to the former rudeness I experienced, but that is obviously a thing of the past. I went in the other day to pick up a jacket they fixed and a sweater they drycleaned that my husband dropped off for me and the girl was so so nice and was sweet to my little boy and the clothing items were done very well. I am not totally convinced its a 5 star place yet but a huge improvement. I am grateful for the customer service being better especially!

Have brought many items to A Plus over the last year, mostly tailoring of pants! Work has been very good; process are so reasonable. have had a few issues with items not being ready when quoted, but not a huge deal given the benefit of the service provided.

Do not waste your money and time with this business. I dropped off a pair of shorts and a pair of pants to have the waists taken in. First of all, the seamstress was so rude– literally just grunted and told me to turn around and said done and that was it. Then it was $ 13 per pair just to have the waists taken in a couple inches. I was then told it would be one week to pick it up. I mean, I know they’re busy but a whole week for this job was ridiculous, so I asked if that was the best that they could do, and I was told Thursday at 4 pm(I had dropped off on a saturday). Thursday comes around, I got there at 4:30 and I was told oh sorry, we’re running behind they’re not ready yet, come back later. I couldn’t come back til saturday because of work, and when I finally got them they did not allow me to try them on there and I went home and tried them on and they were still TOOBIG in the waist, but I’m not going back because they have truly awful service. POORSERVICE, awful results, and exorbitantly expensive.

When I lived in Pawtucket I went here because it was convenient. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress and they told me it would be ready in 2 days. I work three jobs and planned on picking it up a little after that. When I get there it was closed for 1 week it was after Memorial Day. It would have been nice for them to tell me that. The wedding was that week and I couldn’t get my dress. The staff is rude. They messed up on a pair of jean shorts they put a patch in. They left a seam in the middle that was visible. I didn’t notice it right away. When I finally gone back to have them fix it they agreed the seamstress did a bad job and remembered the item but said I had to repay the original amount to fix their mistake because it was a little over a month. After that I never will go or recommend this place to anyone. Horrible customer service!!!

I took a chance since this place is close to my apartment and is open in the evenings on weekdays. The staff is very nice. I dropped off three coats on a Saturday and the one that just needed cleaning was ready by Wed and was under $ 10 and the other two which also needed to have the sleeves taken up we’re ready the following Saturday for about $ 50 total. One jacket turned out they missed sewing half the sleeve so when I took it back they were able to do it while I waited. Overall I’d go back for something I didn’t need quickly because of the friendly staff and convenient hours. It’s also a bit pricey so I might explore other options in the area.

I continue to visit here for their quality of work tailoring and great dry cleaning services. The staff is very helpful and always finish in a timely manner. The measurements have always been right and the clothes fit great

Okay, I have to really Unilocal about this place. COMPLETELY over priced, and the quality of work is not that great. The staff is also not the most pleasant. I brought my mother in there last week to get her dress altered for my up coming wedding. She tried on the dress for the seamstress and I then had to pretty much direct her what we need done and how to do it. The dress was clearly too long and wide. Really not out of the ordinary for alterations. She also had tiny spaghetti straps that had to get sewn on. Total cost? $ 25 for a 3 inch hem, $ 25 for taking it in and $ 18 to sew on the straps = $ 68… That is way too much for the simple things they had to do. A few of my bridesmaid’s went there to get their dresses altered and for a hem and to take it in they paid $ 50.00. I just think that is absurd. The woman who took the dress and wrote up the slip had the worst attitude, and for no reason at all. Not busy that day honey!!! I expect to be treated with more respect and courtesy than she could ever understand. I too had to get some alterations recently on a VINTAGE dress, where the work had to be much more detailed and only paid $ 35 at Elite Tailors in Warwick. I feel that A plus tailors get tons of business because of their location, but I strongly suggest going else where if you can.
