House of Pizza

Wasn’t too happy with my order. I asked for 2 buffalo chicken wraps with lettuce and tomato, I go to pick up my order and they only have one ready for me. They didn’t seem too apologetic either. When I finally got both of them, there was barely any lettuce and tomato on it. Probably not ordering there again.

Ate here Sunday before Pawsox game with two buddies. We all ordered large steak & cheese bombs. These things are enormous!!! This is our new regular stop for pre game chow! The woman who took our order isn’t very friendly but the awesome subs make up for lack of personality!!! Looking forward to trying something else on the menu!!!

This place is fast and easy. All you need to do is called place up and order what you want. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to get it ready. And can be easily picked up and paid for when you walk in. If you get in the pawtucket area, this is the pizza joint you want to go to. They make subs, sandwiches, pizzas, and even gyros.

I’m not sure what’s not to like about this place, it’s an old school neighborhood pizza joint that has a distinctly Pawtucket feel and offers great pizza at a great price. I’ll take The House of Pizza over any of the new and supposedly cool pizza places that are popping up throughout the area with their organic toppings and craft beer selections, this place has withstood the test of time and continues to come out on top. Great food, good people and honest prices-what’s not to like about that? Oh and I highly recommend the pepper and onions pizza, especially on a Friday during Lent but do call ahead, it’s apparent that I’m not the only one that loves this place.

Everything is good here. Family is so nice. My favorite item on the menu is the turkey grinder. It’s giant. The prices are reasonable. Always a good experience

I grew up in Pawtucket and grew up on House of Pizza a few times a week. I moved away and every time I am in the area I have to stop here for their Roast Beef Grinder and is still the best I have ever had. There isn’t a place around that has a roast beef grinder that compares to the one here, always tender meat, always lean with no fat and always the best over 30yrs later!

Heard alot of great things about this pizza joint but it was just average! To be fair we did not order pizza. My husband had a large steak and cheese. He said it was alright but it looked a bit dry to me. My daughter had the chicken cutlet sandwich and she also gave an unenthusiastic alright as well. I had a spinach pie and I thought it could use some more seasoning. We may give this place another try and see if the pizza is better but not running back anytime soon.

I don’t know what these other people are talking about but I lived next door to Pawtucket House of Pizza for years it’s was terrible then. The pizza sauce way too sweet steak and cheese Huge portion yes, but what’s the point when it’s either dry and crunchy or chewy and stringy it’s horrible either way no flavor and hands down worst steak and cheese or at least 2^nd to the worst I’ve ever had.
So I’m back in the area it’s now 10 years later figured hey maybe it’s better now maybe it was just the cook back then so I give it another chance. Bad decision waste of money and just as bad I’d rather get frozen reheated pizza from little Ceasars same goes for the heaping dried up flavorless steak sandwich, I guess some things will never change and I’m saying this because I can I’ve lived here on and of for years I love the bucket and I’ve given that place many chances over the years always to be left hungry and out the money I wasted on their food because I’ve never been able to get through one of there subs or pizzas it’s gets one star simply because it’s in the bucket and been here for yrs.

I had to rate this place 5 stars because the pizza was the best I’ve had in many a year. I had a pepperoni and black olive pizza that had so much stuff on it, it was amazing. The place was packed with people waiting for pizzas and I had to wait about 35 mins even though I’d called it in. I had heard from others at work that this was the place to get Pizza in Pawtucket and they weren’t joking.
I saw 11 people working here (looked like all family members, but not sure) and they had different things they were doing and no one was just standing around. When I finally got my pizza it smelled great and couldn’t wait to get it home to try a slice. When I finally got home and ate it, I realized that the thing was huge and it actually lasted me through three meals.
I would definitely come here again and again and suggest others that live in the area to do the same. The BEST pizza in the area, by far!!!

Great food at a fair price. The steak and cheese subs are HUGE. The pizza is great and they do not skimp on the toppings. Coolers full of drinks so there is something for everyone. Friendly local place with fast service and a family atmosphere.

I’m 100% bucket again so to celebrate this millstone I ate at the Pawtucket house of pizza. Big fan of the spinach pies. please never close!

Probably my favorite pizza in pawtucket. Awesome specialty pizzas and appetizers and the service is always friendly and prompt. It’s in a bit of a congested area but they have a lot to park in so it’s convenient enough!

I came here the other day with my boss. I was skeptical but boy was I wrong. I had the chicken salad, it was soo good I brought my wife there a few night later and it was just as good. She then precedes to tell me she had been there before. Thanks for holding out!

Love this place it has one of the best steak and cheese around. It’s done just right and loaded with steak and overflowing. If your craving one go here you won’t be disappointed.

Friendly service, food is always consistent «good» get what you pay for … Come here you will be satisfied …

Tonight for the first time in a long time I had a tuna grinder from the house of pizza. I have to say it lived up to the hype. Very delicious. I called ahead and my order was ready.
The location is a good location. Plenty of parking because there is a Dunkin Donuts and a laundry place next to it. The staff was friendly and knowledgable about the menu. I asked about their Greek pizza and the waitress said what was on it. Next time, I’m getting it!

I miss there pizza it was always my fav. I would go after school aahhh good memories and recently stopped there and food was still great.

I’ve only had take out from House of Pizza in Pawtucket and have always been satisfied. I usually go with buffalo chicken or pepperoni pizza and always ask for the breaded chicken instead of the grilled chicken (much better!). The pizza is definitely on the greasy side, but delicious!
Also, the steak and cheese is phenomenal. They are definitely generous and load it up with a ton of steak. Also, the french fries are really good and they give a decent amount as well.
When I call in and make an order, they usually say 15 – 20 minutes, but it tends to take a little longer than this every time. They are usually pretty busy, but it seems they always take a little longer than mentioned whenever the order is placed. Honestly, this isn’t a huge deal because the food is always great and I don’t mind waiting a few extra minutes. Overall, great food, good service and no complaints at all about this old school pizza joint!

We ordered pizza, grinders or fish & chips just about every Friday night as I was growing up and it ALWAYS came from House of Pizza. I moved out of RI almost 10 years ago and I was back in town for my class reunion… this was the first place that my husband and I went to after we got off the plane!
As we walked in, the delicious smell nearly knocked us off of our feet and I was immediately transported back to the 1970’s! We ordered our usual… Green Pepper and Mushroom Pizza and Greek Salad. It was just as I remember. I really have to say a special something that the crust. Most people think that all pizzas are created equal, but they truly are not. We have eaten pizza all over the country and in other parts of the world and the House of Pizza crust is the gold standard to which we hold all other pizzas to. It’s crusty, chewy, and buttery. Unlike any that we have found, so far. I was so happy to see that they have made only minimal changes to the restaurant (still no frills, like a pizza joint should be!), the menu is almost exactly the same and the same faces were still baking my pizza, just as they did in the 70’s.
We still loved this place so much that we stopped here on the day that we were flying home to Charlotte, NC and we ordered grinders to take home to have with the family for dinner. The family was thrilled and my son, who was 5 when we moved, then understood why his Dad and I have been talking about all of these years.
