Great wings, salads, and sandwiches. Service is awesome and prices are very reasonable. Went in hungry and left stuffed. Highly recommend. Food is fresh, hot, and well prepared. Very friendly and attentive staff.

While recently visiting the Payson area we stopped in to what was expected to be a familiar experience. Coming from the Phoenix area my wife and I are very familiar with Native and typically have great experiences. Things started off well enough on this particular visit being in a different town we were pleasantly surprised to find that the wings were more meaty and bigger than what are available to us at Phoenix locations. Our dining experience was reasonable, no extra wait time, no issues with the server or management, and the restaurant seemed clean and not very busy. So far you may ask why rate this experience so low if things seemed so good?! The problems started roughly 4 to 6 hours after our dinner. That’s when a horrible bout of illness struck both my wife and me. Needless to say this put a damper on our trip. I can safely say our illness can be traced back to the meal we shared as it was the only meal we had that day and had not been near anyone else, when the symptoms started, and finally it cleared after releaving all contents from our stomachs. It leaves me no choice but to identify foodborne illness as a result of poor handling or hygiene in the kitchen. This particular location will not receive a return visit from us in our future trips to Payson.

Very welcoming hostess, I had come here for lunch with my family on an early Saturday afternoon. Not very busy at all, so we were seated right away. The server came minutes later and got our drink orders. But when it came time to get our food orders, I guess it got a little bit busier because she took awhile to come back. On top of that, the food came out almost 40 min later. It wasn’t crazy busy but at least come by our table to let us know our food will be coming out shortly. Food was pretty good but I feel they skimped out on the fries. I had the French dip and it was huge. Wish they didn’t close so early on the weekend, my family was staying down the street at the majestic mountain Inn and I had wanted to come back later that night for drinks. The native grill where I’m from stay open till midnight.

Deedee our server was the Bomb. So courteous, polite, and friendly. We arrived 5 minutes before they closed at 855pm and Deedee didn’t rush us out of there like chilis did the night before. I told Deedee I didn’t want to keep her even later by ordering dessert even tho I did want dessert. Deedee said that I should have dessert and that she’s happy to have guests past closing. The food was so good too. Loved it! I highly recommend the Native bar and grill… It is awesome.

We ordered wings for kids and adults. Took over 40 min to come out. Food was cold & tasted like it was sitting all day in the kitchen. We had lunch at 2pm and the restaurant was not completely full, but the server did not check in with us. Horrible experience overall.

I visited the Native Grill & Wings on 10÷10÷15(the day before Veterans Day). I noticed that the establishment was going to be honoring Veterans the following day by providing a free Native burger for all military veterans(I’m a USAF veteran). Since I wasn’t going to be in town for Veterans day, Ben the manager provided the special in honor of Veterans day even though he didn’t have too. As a military veteran, I really appreciated the generosity that Ben and my server Kat provided. They provided excellent service and showed their gratitude for my service to our country which unfortunately a lot of business’s no longer do. Anytime I’m in Payson AZ, I will make it a point to spend my money at the Native Grill. They are the best! Thank you Ben and Kat!

I’m not crazy about sports bar but it was lunch and close to our meeting area. We all wanted salads and they had a nice selection to choose from. Our booth was freezing and we asked if the A/C could be turned down. They could not accommodate that request and reseated us. The order took some time. Even though the same server took our order and served the food, he did not know who order what dish. Really?! The saving grace was that everyone was very satisfied with their salad. The grilled chicken was nicely cooked and ample pieces were arranged in the salad. By the time we left, we were all cold. Granted it was in the high 80s that day, but It is really necessary to keep a place so cold?

We had a party of twelve and everybody’s dinner came out at different times. People had finished dinner before others received theirs. The waitress was rude and didn’t seem to care.

Wife and I stopped in for a afternoon lunch. Dog friendly patio! Our 2 rescues sat outside and they brought them ice cold water. Jackie the owner and her husband Robert both stopped by to ask how our meal was. Had the Buffalo pizza and it was very good. Crispy crust. Plenty of toppings. We also ordered drinks and they were made perfectly. Nice to see a small sleepy town getting some real restaurants. Enough of the subways and burger kings. This may be a a bigger local name but they have real owners who left their comfortable jobs and were willing to take a chance. Payson needs to embrace small growth and understand that without people like Jackie and Robert, people that are willing to be invested in a new town and community, the town will flounder in its old tyme mindset. All the best!

Decided to give it another try. Messed up my order. Then when they finally brought it. Once again fish tasted retried and batter was pasty! What has happened. You used to be so good. You went downhill so fast. I used to love this place. Now I’ll go any where but here

Went there for wings but my pocketbook couldn’t handle them. We were visiting Payson and a local said they had 49 cent wings on Sunday. I thought that price was a bit high but I wanted something special. Went there and found out that the Sunday special was only during Football season. Normal wing price was a bit ridiculous. $ 8 something per dozen I think. Crazy! I remember when I could find 20 cent wings during happy hour. What is this world coming to? Anyway. I settled for a calzone that was unimpressive. Best food of the meal were the overpriced loaded fries. Service needs improved but at least they had wi-fi.

If you’re into wilted lettuce and microwaved chicken this is the place for you. Waiters were very nice but the food wasn’t fit for a dog.

Came here for the Rousey fight and paid $ 20 cover(2 people). Within 10 minutes of sitting down, the waiter asks for our receipt, I told him they didn’t give us a receipt, nor stop us to tell us we needed a receipt. I went back to the front and both girls said I didn’t pay. After arguing with the manager, we were forced to pay again. We paid an additional $ 10 cover and received«two beers on the house». Even after paying again, the waiter still would not serve us or wait on us. Horrible place, never in my life have I ever been treated so poorly.

So far not so good. First off the sun is blinding me and to my surprise, no blinds on the window to block the incoming inferno. Next for our table of 4, three appetizer plates were dropped off and two still had food on them. Hold on it gets better pizza will be delayed because the thin crust fell apart while cooking. Must be the first time they ever cooked a pizza. 45 minutes still waiting for our wings. Must be growing the poor chickens out back. Got the pizza, they forgot the pepperoni. Dinner is over, kitchen staff really let them down. Not typical Native service.

In a town where Chilis is considered fine dining, Native is a fresh breath of air. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews, that has not been my experience at all. The place is a fabulous sports bar. 80 in screens everywhere you look, and a multi screen super system in the bar. The place looks like ESPN, back when they had bars. I’ve been twice, and the wings and strippers were excellent. The service was very prompt, they watched my drink level, customers were friendly, and the place is spotless. 5 stars all day long.

Well. The food was good. Stopped in on our way back to the valley. We were super dehydrated so we ordered water. The server literally huffed and walked away to get the waters LOL! Craziest thing I’ve ever experienced Lol. As a server, I have learned not to judge a party based on anything, you never know who’s going to be an awesome tipper and who’s cheap. I usually tip 30−40% for great service, 20% for average, and 10% for crap service. Bummer for that dude. Bad service is a HUGE peeve of mine. If you don’t like your job, then get a different one. If you’re having a bad day, fake it. If you’re hungover, deal with it. I do. Cuz that’s what servers do!!! Maybe it was an off day for him. Not sure.

For a sports bar and restaurant, Native Grill pulls it off. We ate here twice while visiting family in Payson. First time was late night to catch a brew, some sports, and chow. All were good. Plenty of TVs featuring nearly every major sporting event and a hoppin’ bar scene(we were at a table nearby). Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was very good/average(potato skins) to above average/very good(boneless wings). Service was prompt. Second time was the following night for takeout with an equally good experience with the bone-in wings. Next time we’re in Payson and want to enjoy fun, tasty food, we know where to go!

The restaurant just opened this week, and for being so new they are doing very well. It definitely has the restaurant chain feel, but that’s fine. The waitresses, hostess, and manager on duty were very attentive and aware even with a pretty packed house on a Sunday night. Sunday night they have $.49 wings! Wings were great, well cooked and meaty. I had Asian Garlic(tasted like cheap sweet and sour, skip it) and the spicy Honey Mustard which were very good. They have a good draft beer selection, also.
