Always consistent! Nothing truly unusual, but you know what to expect and sometimes that is what I am looking for. For those of you who have food allergies(which I was recently diagnosed with) there is a wonderfully detailed allergens & sulfites nutritional information listing that I easily found online and now have as an app on my iphone. This makes my ordering experience far easier, and more comfortable for all involved. Thank you Denny’s for being one of those places making my life a bit easier.

Every time we head up camping we stop at Denny’s. This is one of the nicer ones. The waitress noticed my food was not cooked correctly and sent it back before she delivered. WOW! Waitress Angela was AWESOME!

You’ve never had Denny’s this good before. This is what every Denny’s across the nation should aspire to be. Though acknowledgement upon arrival took about two minutes, Brooklyn was the perfect picture of personality and friendliness, lightly joking with my wife and I but quickly and professionally taking our order. Food arrived faster than I expected, and when I asked for a last minute glass of milk, I had it before I could have said the Pledge of Allegiance. The bacon is expertly balanced upon that fine line between crispy and tender, and the sausage is tender, juicy, and flavorful. The eggs over-easy were buttery, soft but intact, and delicious, and the pancakes were fluffy enough to make IHOP fear for its place among breakfast diners. Never have I had a better experience at the hundreds of Denny’s I’ve visited in seven states; the next time I find myself in this town, I’ll go out of my way and find a reason to dine here. Whip out those wallets, ladies and gents, these folks deserve a tip every single time. P. S. I downloaded Unilocal and set up a profile for the very first time just so I could leave this location a review this good. It’s that good.

As far as Denny’s goes, this is super nice. It seems new, it’s bright and shiny with two dining rooms and a classic 50’s counter. If you’re looking for solid, dependable and a bit monotonous grub in a little town, here ya’ go.

Ended up getting to Payson at 9am on a Sunday morning and all of the local brunch places were jammed – I mean not even a place to park your car and lines out the door! I saw there were two parking spaces left in this Denny’s parking lot so I pulled into one of them. As I entered the building I saw a sign stating that you get a FREE grand slam breakfast on your birthday. Since it happened to be my birthday, I suddenly felt very pampered. My server was wonderful and wished me happy birthday and pointed out my options for the free breakfast. I ended up getting two eggs, hashbrowns, two large pancakes and bacon(it was supposed to be two slices but ended up being six slices). There was no charge, not even tax. I did leave a tip, but other than that I had a feast of a brunch for free. The staff was efficient, yet friendly. The food was very good. The place looked clean. Parking was close to the door. The décor and facility was typical of older Denny’s and looked a little tired.

It’s fine. I don’t expect great things but when we go to Payson, we periodically will stop here on our way home. The servers are usually personable, but don’t expect to get in and out fast. I think that’s my only real complaint. You might get the food fast or not, but something about eating at this Denny’s, you’ve got to have patience. Everything we have eaten always tastes good, so no issues here.

I’m spoiled by the Denny’s in Chandler near where I live. I love them there. This one… Its subpar, nothing really memerable, my eggs were overcooked and there were a lot of coffee grounds in my guys coffee, to the point he was spitting them out. I don’t often complain but the reason I’m annoyed to the point of actually reviewing a chain location like this is that when I did mention that my eggs were over cooked and that he didnt want anymore coffee because of the grinds, she IGNOREDME. Like I hadn’t even spoken to her. I did not expect anything off the check but an apology or an, «I didn’t even realize» SOMETHING!!! So it was servicable but not what I would go back to. The wait staff are the ones who create the impression at a dining establishment people!

I am not from Payson; But, I am familiar with the concept of Dennys. Its okay food at a price you won’t get too bothered over — the business model is one I can usually get behind. Not this time. I was in a party of 3 with my wife and my mother who is now a Payson resident and swears by the friendly smiles at this local Dennys. We were greeted quickly enough and were sat by the seemingly confident Wes. Wes was very polite and never overstayed his welcome. Unfortunately his shift had ended two hours prior and he was working due to some unknown circumstance. Wes informed us our new server was going to be Mona Lisa, and that she was«stellar». How he managed to keep a straight face while uttering that sentence — I’ll never know. Mona Lisa was unfamiliar with the concept of familiarity — as in you have to have previous encounters to build a «friendship» ground. She continued being unprofessional by not having the menu known(asking my mother to tell her everything that was included with her entrée), not placing orders promptly after receiving them, leaving cups empty, telling awkward and forced jokes(it was fucking awful, who cares about your fish story), and etc. My food came out incorrectly, and our entrees come out before our salads, desert ordered wasn’t available and no recommendation was made for what to get instead. Mona Lisa made it a point to show us what other people were eating/were about to eat, what her favorite color was, where she came from, repeat repeat. I will never come back to this establishment. I felt unwelcome, unwanted, smothered, and out-of-place. The food was cold. It was overpriced. Mona Lisa’s service couldn’t justify her tip — and yet I could tell she wanted more. 666.

It’s your standard Denny’s. The people are nice and your food comes promptly. And its cheap so that’s a plus.
