We stopped here on our way from Phx to TN, based on the comments on Unilocal and we weren’t disappointed. Hot cakes were very good and the oatmeal was the hottest my husbsnd has ever had(he loved that). Customer device was also very good.

Great café/diner experience. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food was great, exactly what you want from a diner. Haven’t tried the pie just yet, but took some for the road. I definitely recommend the stop if you are looking for somewhere to eat in Payson.

Comfy & welcoming diner. I do not eat breakfast but Bob was hungry. We stopped here because it had a lot of cars. A lot of cars = must be good! Huge portions at reasonable prices. He had a Philly Omelet and ate every bite. I had a biscuit with a bit of gravy. Waitress kept our coffee filled and checked on us a few times. She had our check ready as soon as we finished. The bathrooms were clean and well kept. Would recommend for breakfast.

This Café was so good and surprisingly delightful. Me and my girlfriend were up there for a day trip and stopped by for something quick to eat and we opted to split something and we got to here meatloaf and I have to say even though we split it when it came out I had thought that they gave us two full orders. It was so good and I would highly recommend going there. But if you want something on your own make sure your hungry.

I love this place. Everything is great, but most times I get the adult grilled cheese. Hands down, this place has the best house salad in town. The waiting staff is really nice; they have some great aloha(energy) and always share friendly smiles. If you get there and it’s crowded, wait for a seat. You won’t find a better breakfast or lunch in town.

Nice little small town restaurant. A good place to stop on your way passing through. Service is very personal and homey. Food is good and you get a lot for what you pay. Great value!

Great local place. We’ve eaten here a couple times. Food is wonderful. Pie is delicious. Save room for a slice. Friendly folks, great service.

Great, great service. Came in cold from camping in below freezing temps and drank many, many cups of coffee. Bathrooms were stocked with tampons and lotion– which was all super nice for someone who’s been on the road for days. Free wifi– so we sat and ate breakfast, had coffee and researched plans while charging our devices. Great stop for travelers and locals alike :)

I haven’t had a meal here. I have had coffee and pie. Have coffee and pie. The pies are(all?) homemade and abso-freakin’-lutely delicious. If I’m headed down from the rim, odds are extremely high there will be a stop off at Café 260 for pie.

Great breakfast at great price. Also the guys serving(i think they were the owners) were very nice and friendly. My friends and I stopped by on our way to hunting/camping in northeast of payson. I got the steak and it was excellent for a breakfast place. They kept refilling the coffee every few mins. As mentioned, great price. I would hv visited more often if it was closer to Phoenix where I live. But will definitely stop by next time I go that route. Also they have outside sitting which is great especially in the morning.

This our favorite place for breakfast. Omelets are amazing, because they use fresh ingredients, and always cooked right. My favorite lunch is the turkey burger with fresh fruit. The pies are to die for. There is a small patio where you can bring your dog. Love this place

Food was great. Apparently over medium eggs are very difficult to make, but not at this place. They came out with perfectly made. Husband enjoyed blueberry pancakes, which he loved. Only complaint was weak Wi-Fi.

Got tossed out of the Beeline Café(blocks away) because we showed up 5 minutes after they stopped serving breakfast(11am on a Sunday morning). See my review for that story. Everyone who gives this place 5 stars is right. Great food, great service, reasonable prices. The best part of the meal was the lady that served us. You know the type of person who treats you like your a long lost friend? That’s who we got. We wanted to send her postcards as we continued on our vacation. She was that special. Don’t miss this place if you want breakfast after 11am. Or before for that matter.

AMAZINGFOOD&SERVICE!!! My wife & I stopped to buy one of their homemade pies. The place was so charming and the staff so friendly & eager to please, that we decided to stay for a late lunch. Everything is made fresh daily. I was torn between the Adult Grilled Cheese Sandwich(ham, bacon, avocado, & cheese on grilled sourdough), and the Reuben(with homemade sauerkraut). We decided to order one of each and split them. Two of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had! The side of homemade potato salad had chunks of bacon in it, and the cup of white chicken chili was great. I will make it a point to eat here any time I’m in Payson. Fantastic food at a reasonable price, great atmosphere and friendly staff. It does not get any better than this! Alan O

Breakfast was good food but nothing worth writing home about. I suspect most people come here for the pie. They had at least a dozen varieties available. My husband and I split the lemon merengue and it tasted freshly homemade and was absolutely delicious! It was as good as my Mom’s and that is saying something! I liked the fact that the place used to be a house. It had a lot of character. They had a lot of antiques scattered around and on the walls but not so much that it looked tacky or cluttered. All the servers were really friendly. They seem to have a lot of regulars.

Fantastic!!! What a wonderful little comfort food place!!! 3 people in my party, 3 different meals and EVERYONE raved at the yummyness! I had a BLAT which is a bacon/lettuce/avocado/tomato, which I pouted for more after this huge sandwhich. The other 2 had different meals, 1-a classic cheese burger which I should have taken a picture of! The 3rd did a build your own omelete which was bursting with fresh veggies! 3 people shared 2 huge pieces of pie alamode which is made fresh! The servers and service were A++ too. If you are in the area this is a MUST

Really hungry after a weekend on the Rim. Stopped here on a Sunday around 10am. There were 11 of us, and maybe that was the problem. It was pretty packed but there were three tables to split us up. Two groups got service right away while my group just sat. Sat there for a long time. A really long time. The coffee was bland. Ordered the country fried steak and biscuit, which were pretty good almost ANHOURLATER! Seriously. My friends had their food in half an hour & we still waited another 15 minutes. The people behind us at a different table left because it was taking so long & even my waitress yelled at the cooks about how long they were taking. Sucked.

I don’t think I would eat here again. We were hungry and pretty desperate to eat quickly as we were driving through town. The service was not great and there was a little boy(maybe 3 and maybe the owners son) walking around. He climbed over the back of our booth to sit down with us. He also left his snotty napkin in the middle of the table. There were no chicken strips on the kids menu but the waitress said she would bring some for us. The kids wouldn’t eat them… said they tasted fishy. not sure if that is because they are cooked in the same oil with fish?! I had a side salad which was inexpensive and decent. We won’t go back though.

Driving 750 miles from Scottsdale, AZ to Denver, CO. It’s 6am and you’ve been driving for an hour and a half. And you’re hungry. What to do, where to go. Café 260 looks cute and open. Why not? Walk in, immediately experience overwhelming ‘bathroom cleaning product smell’. Immediately lose appetite. Coffee, hot, but otherwise no positive attributes to speak of. Order two eggs over easy with rye toast and hash browns(jeez, I order this a lot). Toast, burnt. Receive new toast. Perfect. This place is what it is. The patrons at the bar have been sitting there for the last 35 years and the so has the waitress. The food wasn’t too bad, but god that smell was unpleasant. The dusty Elvis kitch is concerning as well.

Ok, still qualified stars, but for the diner category, solid on three trips here. The other day I had the«Blue Plate Special» which was served on a blue plate! It was spaghetti with meat sauce and salad. I finished up with a slice of coconut cream pie which was outstanding! The sign said it was homemade and it tasted like it! I may have to stop here every time I’m in Payson, at least for a slice of pie…
