Best bakery ever! We got our wedding cake from here. It was beautiful and delicious! The whole cake was eaten. I’ve never heard that about anybody else’s wedding cake. Seriously if you have 150 people, get cake for 250 people because they’ll want more than one slice. Also, the macaroons are to die for! I thought I hated macaroons but now they’re my new favorite.

I realize what im doing right now is extremely petty! But, I am kinda upset. I just went here, Christmas Eve, and waited almost 30 minutes to get an order. Thats not my problem, I understand its busy. My problem is, I order 2 half pounds of Italian Butter cookies and requested a mix of all colors but no white. I got a box with all green &2 red when there was 5 different colors. These are for Christmas snack for the kids. And im sure not gonna go all the way back to exchange it & wait in line. That was honestly just careless and totally ignored the request. I come here all the time and I will continue too, but because of this Im only giving 3 stars. Call me petty but whatever. 30 minutes to get a simple order messed up is upsetting enough. Its not like this is a cheap bakery.

I’ve ordered several cakes from this bakery for a variety of occasions. The cakes are incredibly delicious and beautifully designed. The latest one was for our gender reveal. Everything was perfect and the girls that were working on Sunday were awesome too! I live around the corner from another bakery but I’ll take the time to drive here since I trust the quality!

Five stars alone for their coffee cake. Seriously, it is that good. My sister was recently visiting from Ohio and she bought one just to bring back on the plane! They also have fresh bread, served hot every morning and wonderful cakes, cookies, cupcakes, etc. I do wish they would make the tri-colored Italian flag cookies, that would be my only suggestion, but I won’t hold it against them, because everything else they make is AMAZING.

We were driving down to Logan airport from Maine and I decided to «yelp» Italian bakeries that were on our way. This place was on our way and had good reviews. Wow, I about cried when we walked in! Cases full of cookies, desserts, a deli case with yummy meats, cheeses and salads. Loaves of fresh bread in racks behind the counter and slabs of pizza and calzones, omg I was in heaven! I wish I had an empty carry on! We bought calzones for lunch and a few cannoli. I also bought two lbs of assorted cookies to bring home to Indiana. This kind of bakery is what I really miss in the Midwest. The calzones were delicious made with fresh bread, cheese and ham. They also had fresh spinach ones and eggplant. The cannoli were perfect. We brought the cookies to a friends house in Indiana and everyone loved them. My fav were the pistachio cookies. I want to live next door to this place!

I should start off by saying that I live nearly next door to D’amici’s in Lynn, and I would choose D’orsi’s every time… Now that I know they exist. My husband’s boss on the Lynn FD loves these cakes and brings them in often. Lucky husband. We had been sampling multiple slices of cake from multiple local cake makers(including bakeries as well as supermarkets) for my 30th birthday dinner with no real winners. I had pretty much given up and said that we should just get an ice cream cake from one of the grocery stores. He suggested D’orsi’s and offered to go out of his way to pick it up for sampling. I thought, why not. He grabbed a chocolate mousse, lemon with curd, and tiramisu. They were all SO good! I could have easily closed my eyes and picked one at random and been satisfied. IF it was only feeding me and my mother-in-law, I would have picked the lemon cake – we love lemon. It was pure perfection. It tasted like a lemon-filled powdered donut. Even now I just told husband that I wish I picked the lemon! But I know it’s just because I am remembering it to write the review. The tiramisu was delicate and authentic, with a strong espresso soak to cut through the thick top layer of marscapone. Since we are having an Italian dinner, it would have made a nice finish, and I was going to choose it, but my husband promised that we could have a single piece for ourselves on my actual birthday, so I moved on to the chocolate cake. It was a perfect, moist chocolate cake with chocolate mousse, and it was decorated beautifully. It won, in the end, because I thought that it would be eaten by the most number of our 15 guests, plus it is traditional for a birthday. Husband helped make the decision because I couldn’t decide. I’m glad he did. We ordered a 10″ chocolate cake with chocolate mousse(it also has a chocolate ganache coating) for under $ 40, I think $ 36? I cannot WAIT for my family to enjoy this cake tonight. I didn’t want to put any writing on it, but husband insisted, so you can do that too, if needed. My favorite part: the girl who answered the phone when I called before my husband went to pick up the samples said that we could call the morning of the dinner(today!) to order. Talk about FRESH. I really think that is what makes the difference. I also really liked that their Facebook page has a ton of pictures of the cake decorating process. Man, I am so in love with this place, and I only met them yesterday. Thank GOD they are not the bakery next door… I really hope you give this place a try someday, even if you are not in the area. They deserve your business because whatever they are doing is WORKING. Enjoy!

I have gone to D’orsi’s twice now and love it. I count down the days until I can go again. The first time I went was on Valentine’s Day. I got the regular tiramisu and the amaretto tiramisu and they were amazing. While I was there, I got a slice of pizza(also awesome!) I went back this past weekend to get some desserts for a small party I was having. Everything was amazing. I tried zeppole, napolean and a few others items and they were a bit hit at the party. I also got some biscotti and a few almond pistachio cookies. They were soft and flavorful. I am already looking forward to Easter to get my hot cross buns as they looked amazing.

As a new resident to Peabody as of 14 months ago, we have been VERY pleased to find D’Orsi’s just a short distance away. The fare is outstanding whether it’s their fabulous sicilan-style pizza, scrumptious Cinnamon bread, deadly desserts, or their(IMO) signature calzones. I have found all of the staff there to be extremely helpful and courteous. Bön apetit!

I think you guys should check the temp in your cases. Bought a Blueberry Cake today and when I got it home, I took a bite and the blueberries had ice crystals in them. Still good! But a little surprising to bit into a half frozen blueberry.

The pastries go without saying. I like to stop in during my lunch break for their Italian cookies, or during the holidays for frosted sugar cookies and gingerbread men — and of course their cakes and cupcakes are phenomenal — but my husband is a huge fan of their pot pies, and he waits all year for them to be in season. They are fantastic!

I like to use D’orsi’s for any kind of catering need– from feeding 4 people to 40. Their italian pupu platter is about 10 bucks and comes with 2 rolls, 2 meatballs, eggplant parm and chicken parm. Pick up a salad and you’ve got more than enough dinner for 2 The calzones are really good and sell out very fast. They’re about $ 14 and they’re very big – 10 servings. I also really enjoy their coffee cake, particularly the blueberry ring. $ 8 and it’s better than whatever I would make from scratch at home. It’s so good that I’ve given it as gifts: housewarming, hostess, or for that little gift you want to pick up for somebody at the office. It’s fantastic and everyone loves it. The chocolate cupcakes rock. I bring them to my son at college. :) The parking lot is small. However, I’ve never had a problem with the parking. For as much as I really like the food, I think some of their staff can be rude. The kids that work there are fine. The older women are ignorant. I know they’re busy, but they’re just not nice. They don’t smile– or thank you and generally just look put out to put together your order. If it wasn’t for this, they’d get 5 stars.

We love, love, love Di’Orsi’s so much, that when we were planning our 2010 wedding, we asked them to make our wedding cake! Pastries are plentiful and delicious. The younger staff can sometimes seem bothered or aloof, but that’s the case with most working teens. The husband and wife who own the place are exuberant and joyful – you can tell they love what they do. BESTMEATBALLSAROUND!

Great Italian sandwiches, take out family meals and pastries. If I still drove by D’Orsi’s as I commuted to and from work each day I would be 300 pounds! Awesome holiday pies and cookies — worth standing in line for. Also a great place to get coffee cake and danish for office meetings. I feel my thighs and hips expanding as I write so I’ll keep this short. If you haven’t been to D’Orsi’s yet you haven’t had the best Italian delights north of Boston.
