Big Daddy’s is a quintessential bar. Beer, smoke, pool, and music. Oysters are great and beer is cold. Staff is attentive and my glass is always full. Good local seafood and beer selection. Will definitely be back.

Based on the variability of the reviews, Big Daddy’s obviously has some problems with consistency in the service. So why am I giving it 5 stars? Because you can get fresh tasting, fat, juicy oysters, all you can eat crab legs, and a top shelf craft beer selection with your own roaming beer sommelier, in PEACHTREECITY — otherwise known as the Stepford Wives of Atlanta suburbs. I have experience good if inexperienced and ditzy service, but this is really a bar — with ashtrays and everything. I love it, and it had been nothing but delicious and friendly every time I’ve been.

Last time I went in here there was a woman tripping balls and fondling a pool cue. A group of Vape Apes blowing huge clouds in a booth and what looked to be the trailer park HOA committee drinking swill and holding court. What was once a tolerable place to place pool with a respirator on is now crap. Too bad, because I like to play pool and PTC doesn’t have a lot of choices.

Our go to oyster bar/seafood restaurant in Peachtree City. Awesome raw oysters and good selection of beers.

The service here was so bad. Could not even find our waitress and had to go on a search. When we walked in, she looked like we were interrupting her. Food was good, service was awful.

The oysters were very good and the beer, well it speaks for its self lol. Only issue we had was a waitress that lied to us a couple times instead of taking responsibility for her actions. We had all ordered and received our food. My girl friend sat there waiting for hers even after the waitress came and asked us if we were all good. So as she turned around I asked her if she had my ladies food. She was like oh yeah yeah those are up right now. As she walked away she came back and asked wait what did you have to eat. Anyways she put the order in and it took another 10 minutes to get, so i asked for the manager and to possibly get something to benefit my friend waiting the whole time for food. The waitress Baca me a b**** towards us started talking trash to other people about us. She was not fit to work on the floor of a restaurant.

This place should never be allowed to serve«Oysters», they taste like they were harvested in the Flint River!

Wow! What a range of reviews BD’s has gotten. We always went on Saturday afternoon after riding bikes on the PTC trails and the service has always been great. I can’t comment on the smell because we eat outside or in the Family dining area when it’s cold outside but the food has always been really good. Hubby gets a burger and I get a salad or, they once by request made me a grouper ruben and it was awesome, great job guys. We’ve never had a bad experience with food or wervice but the one thing I’ve never ordered was the oysters but then I only order those when I’m down on the gulf. I like this place, it’s totally lunchable!

My boyfriend and I love to go to big daddy’s when I visit him in peachtree city! The big bucket of crab legs and shrimp always hits the spot! They have covered outside seating which also makes for a more enjoyable dining experience!

2 of our 3 dishes had hair in them. 1 salad had an eyelash and the other one had a longer hair as from one’s head. I requested curly fries when asked which type of fries I wanted and got regular fries. My husbands patty melt was dry, had no tomato, a tiny piece of wilted lettuce and 1 onion SKIN and no actual onion slices. The server was friendly but slow. We waited nearly 20 minutes for lunch to be brought out to us and were pretty disappointed when it was incorrect and had hair in 2 of the dishes.

Been here many times and it’s always been consistently good. The oysters are fresh and delicious. The wings are great as is the jerk jack chicken sandwich. Plenty of beer choices all with reasonable prices. It’s nice to sit outside during the warmer months…

I have been there many times and have never had a bad experience. The oysters have always been fresh and my favorite wing is the garlic Parmesan. Beer is always cold and prompt. Never have been there yet where the are not many customers, all seeming to have a good time… laughter and conversation, pool playing… I’ve taken visiting family members there also and they want to go there again when in town. Overall, a pleasant experience…

It’s a good place for hanging out with friends. I have come here many times and service as always been excellent. My wife likes the fish and chips. I prefer to choose among the wide selection of beers.

Horrible oysters! I’ve tried several times and just not good. From what I’ve heard they are farm raised northern oysters. Which have a different taste than non farm raised southern oysters. Plus the crowd gets a little shady from time to time.

If there was a zero star option they would get it. I can honestly say that this place has some of the worst food I’ve eaten in a while. I was taken aback the second I walked in by the overwhelming smell of cigarettes and stall beer. Smoking ok I get it. I’ve been to cigar bars and smoking only places and they have been really cool. Not this place. I found a booth, then noticed the table was dirty and the booth was out of align. To the high top my dad and I went. This place is dirty. I’m not talking just sweep and wipe a few things, but every surface looked like it needed to be cleaned including the menu. After this first and second impression I ordered a $ 1.50 beer, which should have been the third clue that this place was terrible. Probably the only way to get people in the door. I was excited to try this place and order a ton of seafood. Instead I found myself and my father looking for something safe on the menu. We settled on wings and nachos because anyone can make those right? Wrong! The nachos had greasy chips, some lettuce and onions and topped with what looked like a pan full of greasy ground beef. On the side was a white cheese sauce, some sorry looking canned jalapeño, and the worst salsa I have ever tasted. IFYOUCANTCOOK, JUSTSERVEPICO. The salsa had an overwhelming flavor of cumin, no spice, and just tomato. This was pathetic. I ate about five of these NACHOS with that disgusting white sauce and had enough. My dad did not fair any better. His wings were RANCID. That means you could actually taste after one bite that they were rotting in the walk in freezer before being cooked. Here is how simple wings are to cook. Find a fresh, not rancid wing. Submerge in boiling oil. When done, drop wings into a butter and wing sauce and toss. Serve with blue cheese, not some green rotten dressing that at one point a year ago was in fact blue cheese. I told the bartender how awful everything was and to just bring me my bill so I can go to a real restaurant. The waitress then came over and I told her how bad the food was. She started to cry. I paid my bill and left her a 10 percent tip. She yelled at me as we were leaving. Very classy.

We live in Peachtree City so we’ve been going to Big Daddy’s for years. But yesterday will be the last time we go. We’ll find somewhere else to get oysters. We met my daughter and in-laws for my daughter’s birthday lunch. My husband ordered oysters(as always), my daughter and I ordered Seafood Buckets(as always). 3 ½ of the people in our party of 6 got their food. Yes, ½. My husband got only 6 of his 12 oysters. My daughter and I waited over 15 min’s on our seafood buckets(and the other 6 oysters for my hubby) and when they FINALLY arrived, the crab legs were COLD. Not room temp but cold, like out of the fridge cold. And the shrimp were only lukewarm. On top of having to ask multiple times for lemons and A1 sauce, the server never apologized for the late food delivery. By the time we got our buckets, the other half of our party was almost finished eating. We asked to see the manager and when she finally came to our table and we told her the issue she began to explain why the legs were cold. Because they keep them in the freezer and they weren’t cooked the whole way. REALLY??? She asked if we wanted them reheated? We said no, please take them and remove them from the bill. It is my personal policy to not send food back to the kitchen and have it fixed. These days, you have no idea what else will come back with it because you upset the cook or server. So we sat there while everyone else finished up and promptly went to Due South in Peachtree City. If you have never been there, GO! It’s awesome!(should have gone there to begin with but my daughter had a craving for the seafood bucket…) Never had super great service there and the seafood has never been super consistant but this was the last straw…

Thank you loving baby Jesus, Budha, seafood god, and girl god!!! This place is so good. Granted it was a drive for me but it was worth it. MSG free!!! :-) My husband and I went about 2 weeks ago and have made a vow to go back at least once a month. The food is so fresh, reasonably priced, and the service is great. What I really like is the separation of the bar scene and the family scene. Big Daddy’s is the adult scene with a full bar, pool tables, and smoking. You must be 21 or older to go on that side. Little Daddy’s which is the family scene is more serene and has televisions so you still have a little bar feel but without the adult language. I really appreciate that having a 3 year old daughter. Back to the food… ohhhhh my goodness… I had the daily special for that day which was crab legs and a salad. I got a ceasar salad and the salad was so good and crisp I wanted to get up and see if a garden was in the back. I normally have to have lemon and butter with my crab legs but they were so good seasoned I ate them with no extra stuff. They steamed the crab legs to perfection. I didn’t have to use the crackers or the little fork to eat them. My husband got a dozen oysters and was able to split the flavor 6 and 6, They were huge and seasoned really good. I hate I can’t remember the flavor but I do know they were steamed(you can get them steamed or cold) but they had plenty of cheese, peppers… sorry I can’t remember. The food was so good when it came out, we didn’t even talk to each other. LOL! The children’s menu is good too. My daughter had chicken tenders and veggies. They were good too(yes we tasted her food too… lol). She really enjoyed her food as well. They have a variety of seafood options so if you want good seafood and don’t mind the drive… enjoy you some Big Daddy’s!

If you like Crab Legs, then you must plan to go to Big Daddy’s on a Wednesday night for their All You Can Eat Crab Legs. Costs $ 21 per person but well worth it. They include a salad and bread sticks. They offer their full menu on those nights too. Wide selection of beers on tap and in the fridge. Full Bar. Smoking allowed, but good ventilation. They opened up a separate facility next door that is smoke free and children are allowed. Full bar and menu, even all you can eat crab there too. The Kid-Friendly side is much brighter with white walls and ceiling and windows on two sides so more like going to a regular restaurant than a bar with pool tables and such. Big Daddy’s is a great local establishment, been around forever it seems and now with their smoke-free, kid friendly side they have something for everyone. Everything is reasonably priced.

Came here over lunch for the first time. We ate on the right side where the restaurant is. The place is in a strip mall, and the building is showing its age. It looks like there were a few leaks in the roof. It’s no fault of Big Daddy’s, but its hard not to notice when some of the booths are blocked off. The place looks like your typical bar, and was completely empty when we arrived. The waitress was very nice and upbeat. She did good job, but the food took almost an hour to come out, and again there was no one else there. Two guys came in for the bar near the end of our meal. The food was actually very tasty, but a bit costly for what you got. The photo is of my meal, it also came with a side salad and cost just over $ 20. They offered a lunch special, but did not have a lunch menu. All and all the place is forgettable, its not charming enough to be a local dive, and not nice enough to make it as a restaurant.
