At the Great Hawaiian Lunchwagon Festival, I had Kazu’s Special plate which consisted of a chicken drumstick, teri burger patty, musubi and a mac salad. Everything was seasoned so well and although it was all thrown into the same box, the flavors somehow managed to mesh well. This was the best mac salad I had while I was in Oahu. Nothing else ever matched up. It was so good *pause while I wipe my drool* and when we went back to get more they had ran out and replaced it with the loco moco. pooh.

Tasted Kazu’s sample plate lunch at the Great Hawaiian Lunchwagon Festival. One of my kids is a locomoco addict, and the other is a spam musubi addict, so I decided to buy at this truck that were selling the below at $ 5 a plate: Loco Moco — 2 stars — The hamburger and egg was ok, but the gravy was way too salty, so it wasn’t too edible. My son’s not so picky with his loco moco’s, but this one was just too salty for him. Spam musubi with teriyaki burger — 3 stars — the spam musubi was basic spam with rice and a bit of teriyaki sauce marinated in the spam. The teriburger was also basic with tomato, lettuce and hamburger bun, but I could not taste any teriyaki in my burger at all, and it was a little dry. Service — 4 stars — the woman in the truck was very friendly. Maybe this is not an accurate overall rating of this truck because we arrived at the event later in the afternoon when most of the good stuff were gone and the rest of the food were not as fresh as if we were to arrive in the late morning. However, I wouldn’t order the specific items mentioned above if I ordered from them again.
