Worst Mexican food I have ever had. I ordered two chimichangas with rice and beans. One beef and one chicken. There may have been a tablespoon of meat in each and the whole plate was microwaved. How else could I have received it in less than 5 minutes??? You could tell by the soggy chimichangas, the chewy rice and the burnt ring around the beans. I could have had a better meal at Taco Bell! Salt & grease emporium. I ordered tacos al carbon. First thing I did was poor the grease out of my tacos. If a real Mex restaurant ever comes to Brandon…,

There are certainly better Mexican restaurants in the Jackson area.(No margaritas here!) But if we are home in Brandon and don’t feel like driving anywhere, this is our go-to family dinner. The food is consistently good and cheap, and I could show up in bunny slippers and nobody would notice. The salsa is good; the chips and welcome are warm. The waiters are attentive and friendly. You can just order by the number. English is sometimes iffy. The owner is usually present, and very friendly. In about a hundred visits, I’ve had one problem with an entrée ever, and they quickly replaced it free of charge. My fave’s: queso blanca, Pollo el sombrero(66c), shrimp fajitas.

Good food, but kind of bland. Cheese dip is crazy expensive. The rice usually tastes old. El Potrillo in Brandon is better.
