Worst service I have received in the five years I have lived in MS. As we walked to our table a server hastily ask our drink orders as we were trying to get ourselves and kids seated. The server was huffing and puffing at us, rude as could be. One of the staff put chips on our table with three dirty salsa cups. Immediately following that wonderful additive, our waiter kindly threw the straws on the table and asked«ready.» Since we literally haven’t been there two minutes our answer was no. The server then walked away angry and we walked out. As we walked to the door another staff member ask if anything was wrong so I let him know. He then presumed to snicker about the whole ordeal. I almost lost my mind on the little freak. Do yourself a favor and drive two miles down the road to El Potrillo!

First impressions makes a big difference. I visited the restaurant last night with my brother. We sat down and meet two other people there that held a table for us. It took awhile to get our drink order. Once we got that it awhile for her to come back and get our order even though the other two people in our party waited on us to order. Long story short, the food was appetizing but cold. I’m going to wait before returning to this restaurant.

I think it is a disservice that many relevant low ratings are currently«not recommended.» This place has the worst service I’ve ever encountered. I was in line for a to-go order when several people walked in behind me. They were asked what they needed by several different people while I was ignored. One server/hostess asked who’s next. When I spoke up she still gave her attention to someone literally two places behind me. I walked out and got Taco Bell, which tastes better anyway. In the day of the online review, you have to be pretty rude and incompetent to allow this to happen.

The food is pretty good and the prices are pretty reasonable. It’s not the best tex-mex I’ve had, but it’s certainly not the worst either. I generally get the steak fajitas. They come in really thick strips, the thickest I’ve probably ever seen, so I always cut them into thinner strips. Just my preference; not a big deal or a problem. I have noticed with the fajitas that the portion sizes differ. Sometimes there’s more meat than other times. I am quite fond of their white cheese dip. It has a nice kick to it; although, not too much because my taste buds are sensitive to heat. The salsa they serve with their chips is good, but again, I’ve had better. Same with the chips — good, but I’ve had better. Service has been hit or miss. I’ve had Miss. Grumpy, Mr. Scatterbrained, and Mr. I don’t speak English. There was one server, Brett, who was awesome and I started requesting him every time I would go. Unfortunately, the last time I was there they informed me he was no longer an employee. Bummer. This is when I met Mr. Scatterbrained. The fried ice cream is some of the best I’ve experienced. It’s HUGE — HUGE, I tell ya! More than enough for 2 people to share; probably 3 people could share it easily enough after a meal. It’s really cheap too, but I can’t recall the exact price off the top of my head. As someone else mentioned, they do not serve alcohol here. So if you’re wanting a margarita or a beer to go with your meal, then you better head out to El Portrillo in Flowood at Dogwood Festival. All in all, if you’re in the mood for tex-mex and your’e in this part of town, don’t hesitate to stop in for a meal. Just don’t expect it to be anything to write home about.

We were passing through town on I-20, and happened upon Fernando’s for lunch. The food is pretty tame for Mexican(we’re from Texas and are used to more of a kick in our Tex-Mex) but it was reasonably priced, and service was quick. No complaints, and we’d gladly stop here again.
