Two of my three visits here have not been good and after this last visit I won’t be returning. The only thing they have going for them is the variety of shellac polishes and types of pedicures, but it’s not enough to keep me coming back. The first time something went wrong was when I repeated stated I wanted the jello pedicure. I didn’t get it. They gave me a different type of pedicure and I was really disappointed since they can’t just redo it. They gave me a $ 5 discount, so whatever. Yesterday I went in for shellac and wax. The manicure started out fine, but I had to point out places on my nails where it was ragged and needed to be filed again. I was also cut multiple times. The person applied the base coat very heavy and as soon as I put it under the light it started to burn. They were quick to blame this on me and said that’s how shellac was. Hello, I wasn’t born last night. I’ve had a dozen shellac manicures and have never experienced burning. They said to just take my hand out if it started burning and put it back under when it stopped. I should have stopped here and ran out. At this point another technician sat down and started doing the colored polish. They were talking back and forth saying who knows what. Then the first person sat back down and did the top coat. It was burning again, so I’m taking my hands in and out of the light and it took longer. Now I’m taking a very close look at my nails and notice how bad they look. The polish is very very thick, in some places not applied to my entire nail, in other places applied to my skin. WTF. So I start pointing this out and the technician thinks that she should cut my skin some more as a solution. The head lady who sits in front comes around and starts filing the sides and telling me my nails are too short. Well no shit, lady! They’ve been filed down so damned much they’re nearly gone! I don’t care how long or short my nails are, don’t blame me for a shitty paint job. Not to mention, you do nails for a living — you should know how to handle all types of nails. At this point I want them off. So I sit down with someone else and he takes the polish off. He notes how thick the base coat is and says that it can cause burning. EXACTLY. So he redoes the polish and isn’t as heavy handed. It’s much better, but there is still polish on my skin and my nails are unevenly filed(yes he filed them after being filed by multiple people). I was charged $ 25 to be cut, blamed for my nails burning, and chastised for having short nails and wanting a red color polish. Oh, and I didn’t remind them about the wax. Who knows what would have come out of that?

I ended up here today for a manicure and pedicure after my regular salon made me frustrated. So I will try to be diplomatic. Walked in asked about pricing. Pedicures start out at $ 20 and if you want shellac polish on toes it an extra $ 15. So $ 35 for shellac pedicure. I said ok. Smaller shop which is what I like normally. I used the restroom and no paper towels to dry off hands. Ok off to a bad start. I was told to go to pedicure chair 2. I did. I asked the lady not to use a drill on me. Don’t think she understood me. Because she plugged in the drill. So I said please no drill. I know this means she works harder. But my nails don’t like the drill. My nails are thin from shellac use. Since I was new I looked around and didn’t feel so comfortable. But can’t put my finger on why yet. Tv in back corner was hard for me to see. And music in the front was over powering the tv. I’m assuming a male owner like figure was sitting in back corner keeping an eye on shop. He didn’t appear to be doing much. Don’t know if he does nails. He just sits behind the scenes or that’s how it looked to me. Nothing really stood out to me here. Nothing positive nothing negative. So I don’t know what to say. It was just ok. No drink was offered, the pedicure chairs were ok. Couldn’t get the massage speed right or the pressure. Maybe an old chair?! My toes look nice. My hands look nice. But that’s all. So sorry just 3 stars. Just ok. All in all I paid 45 $ plus tip. 20 $ for pedicure 15 $ for shellac polish and 10 $ for a manicure.

The first time I went, I got a shellac manicure. They have lots of colors, but unfortunately, I wasn’t exactly pleased with results. The maincure looked thick and goopy. The lady assured me that it was only because the color that I had chosen was almost empty. In that visit, I also got an eyebrow wax, which I will say looked really nice. My second trip is when I was really disappointed. Long story short, a much older lady did my manicure, and after leaving, and looking closely at my nails, I could have saved myself twenty bucks and done a MUCH better job at home. I won’t be returning next time due to the fact that one of the ladies working on my nails cut one of my cuticles way to closely and it’s still hurting, and also due to the fact that the ladies had the worst attitudes. They won’t be receiving my business again, nor will I be recommending them to anyone.

After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about trying this location but with everything else closed I gave it a shot. Non sterile tools was a bit of a concern. However the staff was completely friendly and I must admit I was happy with my outcome.

I went here a few months ago and I will not be going back. I came in the get Shellac done. I picked a color that happened to be OPI Shellac, so I was excited about getting the service. While she was doing my nails, she asked me if it was ok if she gave me one coat of color. I’ve had Shellac done before and I know it’s a total of four layers: base coat, two coats of color, and a top coat. I responded by telling her she could decide thinking she wouldn’t charge me the normal price. Well, the manicure continued and after she put the top coat on the nails on my left hand, I put it in the UV machine and one of my finger tips felt hot and began to get so hot that I had to pull my hand out it was so painful. She had polished top coat on my finger. Had I not pulled my hand out, I probably would have been burned. Once she finished, I got up to pay and she charged me the same amount as I always paid despite the fact that she injured my finger and only gave me one coat of polish. Needless to say, I’ve not been back.

I am fairly new to Pearland and was looking for a nail salon close to home. Took a drive down FM518 and stopped here for a much-needed pedi and full set of solar nails. Both my hands and feet look decent, but the one star review is given due to their lack of cleanliness. It’s stuff that you don’t see as soon as you enter the business, but you’ll notice things during your service. First off, I didn’t see any sterilized tools being used. My spa pedi included a paraffin wax treatment which was put into plastic bags(which is standard and okay.) However, once the wax bags were removed from my feet, several trashcans were bypassed while taken to the back where the wax came from. Leads me to believe they reuse the wax. Gross. While getting my full set, my cuticles were cut and bleeding not once or twice, but FIVETIMES. That’s when I started to get nervous about not seeing any sterilized tools being used. The grinder tip that had drawn my blood several times was thrown back into the dusty tray with the rest of them. I expressed my concern for the lack of sterilization, so the man quickly dumped the whole dusty tray into his container of acetone. Still gross. Long story shortened, I will not be back. I will try to review all of my local nail salons after visiting so there will be more info for others in my situation.
