This place is ok. I have used them in the past. I don’t think they are horrible but truth is I do want to try a new place and see how their service is. My only complaint is that they don’t take credit cards. The owner has always been very nice and polite.

I have used Best Tailor for years and have always had wonderful service. The prices are fair and I have referred a number of friends who have also been happy. I saw the bad review and it is in regards to shoes. Good to know. It would have never occurred to me to take shoes. For clothing, I have been extremely pleased.

I got a Unilocal account just so I can write this review for your benefit. Never written a bad review before. Let’s just say if this is the«best tailor», I’d hate to see the worst. I originally used Unilocal to find a good alterations place in the Pearland area since I am new in town. I found one with good reviews, but I MISTAKINGLY pulled into this place instead of the business with GOOD ratings a little further down the road. I realized it after I had already pulled into the ‘tiny’ parking lot. So I figured I’d try this place instead of going through the trouble of backing out onto the highway. Mistake #1. I bring my toddler inside with her pair of ballet shoes that simply need an elastic strap sewn across the top of each to hold it on her foot. Sounds simple enough right? She tries them on and the lady marks exactly where she needs to sew them. I told her my daughter needs them for her ballet class the following day that starts at 5:00. I ask her if she can have them ready before then. She promises they will be ready the following day by 4:00(she writes time on ticket also). She tells me it’ll be $ 7.50. Mistake #2.(My not-so-sew-savvy self needs to just learn how to sew a few stitches!) The next day rolls around and I leave early enough to go pick the ballet shoes up(after 4:00) before ballet class. I get there and she tells me «it’ll be two minutes». I say okay. I see her go in the back and start picking out pink thread off the wall! SHENEVEREVENSTARTEDONTHESHOES!!! Plus, I’m thinking… If it’s only going to take«two minutes» why didn’t you just sew it on yesterday while I was here?! All the while, she is moving in slow motion and WATCHINGTV while STARTING on my daughters shoes that were supposed to be ready. Right then I should have told her to refund my money and forget it and that I’ll bring my business elsewhere.(Normally, my very kind and patient self would have waited without a problem, but she knew I had somewhere to be! If she couldn’t have them ready, she should have told me so. Time is important when you’re running a business.) There are a couple other customers in the store that she is telling she will be with later. This does not take two minutes. I wait and wait watching the clock as it’s getting close to time for class to start. I need to have already left, and the sound of this T.V. is killing me as I feel it is slowing her down even more! There’s another worker in there who is watching T.V. as well instead of helping the other customers. She comes back and says«can she try it on before I cut it?» I say«We really need to leave now. Her class is going to be starting soon.» She still insists she try them on. So I try them on her, and of course they aren’t right! They are obviously too loose, even though she had marked the spot where to sew them the day before. If she had taken her time and worked on it before I got there to pick them up, maybe she could have done a better job. Instead, she brushed us to the side till last minute and did a halfway job. So she takes them to the back again and works on them some more. I’m fixing to lose it as I am anxious and knowing we are going to be late! Mind you, dance class for toddlers is short(30 mins) so if you’re late, you missed the whole class! I’m paying for these classes whether she goes or not! We wait some more. Other customers wait. A guy is in there waiting in the clothes he tried on for her to hem. Note: I had so much time that I was able to start working on this Unilocal review WHILE waiting on the shoes! This is how FURIOUS I was. She eventually brings the shoes back to us to try on. They’ll do. I’m not impressed. She asked how they are. I said«fine» and left without a «thank you» from her, nor me. She had no excuse, no apology, nothing. I backed out the tiny parking lot onto the highway to cut a U-turn to make our way to dance class while debating whether it’s even worth it as it is already 4:52, and I have about a 20 minute drive to the dance studio. My daughter ended up getting to go into class for the last 10 minutes where they are doing tumbling by this point and missed the ballet part of the class. She was upset about not getting to do ballet. I was LIVID. I do NOT recommend this place nor will I ever return. Being new in town, I was looking for a place to bring my family’s clothes, but they lost me as a customer already. Next time I will only go to a business that has good ratings on Unilocal
