I usually come and order to go, but last night I dined in. I love this place. It’s so small and cozy. It reminds me of home. The bbq is always good. The baked potatoes with chopped beef and all the trimmings is my fave! It’s so much that I could easily make two, maybe even three meals from it. The banana pudding tastes just like my mom’s so of course I get it every time I go. Great place.

Went in today after the lunch rush, I’ve heard about the long lines! There is a big parking lot in the back and as luck would have it, there’s a back door. I got the two meat lunch special, brisket and pork loin, came with two sides, desert and a huge drink for $ 13.95. It way more food than I could eat. Mac and cheese was a little runny, but that’s why they make Tide pens, right? The cherry cobbler was amazing! They have been in business for 47 years! Still has that small town, family restaurant vibe. Almost every table has family photos under the glass top. Very unique and eclectic décor. There is not a lack of things to look at while you eat haha. Very cool place, would for sure come back!

This place has it all — except okra. I’ve come to expect fried okra in my plate and whenever it isn’t there I’m just a little disappointed. I had the brisket and three ribs and they were pretty much as I’ve come to expect from Texas BBQ — a little on the dry side for the brisket and perfect ribs. Side of corn cooked a bit too long and some basic mac and cheese. Best part was the country slide guitar player and sweet female singer strumming away. Live music and a colorful decorated wall full of interesting posters and art and photos always helps to liven up a place. I ordered the medium size plate with two meats two sides and a drink for $ 15 for dinner: not to shabby!

This is my third time I’m sitting in the dining room enjoying the music and my fully loaded Turkey potato. Last time there was a guitarist taking requests so of course I asked for Willie Nelson. This is the best most down home relaxing BBQ place in the history of ever. The staff made this Brit feel like family eating in his own living room.

This place is really good. Every time I’ve been here it’s always been a great experience. I have three little kids and on one occasion one of the employees(or owner?) gave all of my kids brand new Etch A Sketch pads to play with and she also said they could take them home. It was really nice to have all the kids entertained. The food is also great!

Two minutes down the street from it’s more famous brother is Central Texas BBQ& it was as good as the best I’ve had in Austin & central Texas! The sides were also delicious! We waited about 15 minutes in line at Central Tx BBQ. It’s also Cubano owned. This is probably the reason for the excellent sides & deserts. The deserts were also really good! We had the carrot cake & it was extremely moist. There are numerous sides & other desert options. We’ll be back to Central Tx BBQ! I spoke to Pearland Cops & Pearland Fireman eating inside with us & they said that the more famous neighbor was really good. However, not better than what we were having today at Central Texas BBQ. The meat fell off the ribs & the brisket melted in your mouth! The turkey was the best BBQ turkey that I’ve ever had! Everything was really moist! DELICIOUS!

Food was alright, I enjoyed the BBQ sauce because it wasn’t too strong but I don’t think there was enough of it. If you’re a BBQ sauce lover maybe try somewhere else for a stronger sauce

Great sausage, great pulled pork, great ribs. The food was amazing. The portions were huge. I ordered the pulled pork, it melted in my mouth. The atmosphere made me feel like I was back at home in my great aunt’s kitchen as a child. The side dishes we pretty good. But not the best. I had the macaroni and cheese, it was generic. From looking at the other sides that others ordered, I will be back to try anything else they have. Yum!

My favorite BBQ restaurant in Pearland. My Four year loves it here as well. He loves all the pictures and nick-nacks in the different rooms. After a few visits I have learned that trying to finish all my food is a terrible idea as they give you so much! But I can split a two meat meal with my son. The true problem is what sides to get because so many of them are amazing!!!

Easy to find, lots of parking, damn good bbq. Atmosphere: This place embodies the value of family, friends and food. Pictures of celebrities and all who are near and dear to the owner are plastered from wall to wall. There are also lots of statues and trinkets scattered about. Tons of personality. I have visited 4 times and there was live music once. This place gets crowded during lunch, after 5 and on the weekends but I’ve never waited in line longer than 20 minutes. Call ahead and order to go if you’re feeling hungry and impatient. The food: The $ 13.95 two meat lunch special is my go to if I don’t feel like messing with the loaded baked potato $ 10.95. Lunch comes with two sides, two meats, a drink and dessert. I normally get the mashed potatoes sides that come with green onion and cheese and the barbecue chopped meat. I like to think of it as a deconstructed baked potato — the only thing missing is sour cream and bacon which you can ask for on the side. I WISH they had beef ribs. Like why not? They have everything else. Maybe they don’t want to compete with the nearby famous Killiens. Im just saying… There is nothing to lose when patrons so loyal.

Went to Central for dinner… the pork ribs were especially good without the sauce… super tasty. The chopped beef was intense, a bit sweet for me but still tons of flavor. The pork loin was nice as well. Sides…I tried the green beans, very nice, and the coleslaw which was tasty. I liked the cornbread but I’m not a cornbread expert y’all ;-) It’s a bit expensive but I’ve never been disappointed with the food there. Recommend!

I ate here pretty regularly and I would say the atmosphere and scenery make up for the food and the price to a degree. I was not overly impressed with the quality of the food. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad but I just expected it to be better for the price that I paid for it. I could rave all day about the banana pudding though. I have tried most of the desserts and that’s easily the best one. The inside of this building is just filled with so much to read and look at that it’s honestly a fun experience to go eat here. It can get crowded if you go at the wrong time. The workers are always so nice no easy to work with. Very friendly and respectful. I think they are doing incredibly well for having a strong competitor right down the street(Killens BBQ) Come here for reasonable food but a good sit-down experience.

I visited here with a friend on my way out of Houston. I’m not from here and I am definitely not a BBQ expert. I ordered the rib sandwich. I was more than a little confused on the ordering process and the guy behind me didn’t like it. I was surprised to see that the sandwich still had the rib bone in it. Is that normal? I have no idea. Definitely made it hard to eat. They flavor was good. I had wanted to try Texas BBQ to compare it to all the BBQ we had in another part of our road trip through Nashville. I think I definitely prefer their style but that’s just me, Texas. You do you. The bathroom was clean. Parking was easy.

Came here immediately after eating at Killens BBQ to make a fair comparison. First of all, let me just start off by saying that this is the ugliest dining establishment I have ever been to. It’s like a damn garage sale in there. Anyway, back to the bbq. With all the hype and business that Killen gets two blocks over, I figure this place has to be doing something right to stay in business, and they are. These guys are selling half decent BBQ at a very reasonable price in big portions. Their brisket may spend more time in the steamer than the smoker and their sauce is runny as hell, but mix them both with some cheese and butter on a baked potato the size of a football for $ 10 and people will show up, especially if they don’t have to wait in line in the Texas heat. Just goes to show, you don’t need the best BBQ(period.) to offer a good product. But damn, this place is ugly.

Tip #1: Address to this restaurant is 4110 W Broadway St, Pearland, TX77581 and NOT4110 Broadway St. Unilocal forgot the«W» part in its address and so I went to the wrong location. Tip #2: Men’s restroom doesn’t have a sign. It is located all the way in the back(pass the women’s restroom) and you have to make a U-turn to see it. Parking: The parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is small. Luckily there is a gravel parking lot right next to the restaurant’s parking lot. I didn’t know it was part of the restaurant because it looks like it belongs to a house. Time and Day: Ate on a Friday evening at 6:40PM. Restaurant was around 25% full and there were plenty of seats for a lot of people. At this location, there is no waiter to seat you. It is cafeteria style where you stand in line, order the food, pay, and then you seat yourself. Food: Ordered the dinner plate with 2 meats($ 15.95) along with my two sides of coleslaw sweet potato. For my 2 meats, I got the pork ribs and the sliced beef. Both of them were delicious, moist, but the guy didn’t give me enough barbeque sauce. Fortunately you can get more barbeque sauce where the drinks are located. Coleslaw was okay but the sweet potato was good. So the food deserves a 4⁄5. Service: There is no real service here except for the person who gives you your plate and the cashier. So can’t really comment on service. Price: The food was good, but I received larger portions at other barbeque places for the same price. So the price is average. Overall: The food is above average, smaller portions than other barbeque places, can’t comment on service, and the price is average. I would probably not come again unless I happened to be in the area and was in the mood for barbeque.

This place has a good olé Texas BBQ feel, but I have had much better BBQ at other places… I had the Brisket and Sausage… The brisket was very fatty and the sausage was pretty dry… Also their potato salad was very bland… It pretty much tasted like a scoop of cold mashed potatoes(Hell No) Although their deviled eggs and coleslaw were very flavorful… We went on a Saturday night and they had a musician play that was a little bit too load… Over all I felt like we got what we paid for but not sure I will make it back…

We work in the medical field, so we have to work on July 4th. We decided to to order the family pack to go for a little get together. It says it feeds 8 – 10, but there’s definitely enough to feed atleast another 5 or 6 people. We ordered the brisket, chicken breast, sausage, new potatoes, brocolli rice casserole, baked beans and banana pudding. Our guest loved all the food. Everyone was especially a fan of the pudding. The service here is great too. If you’re in Pearland, check out this awesome BBQ spot!

Yeee Hawww!!! Central Texas Style BBQ puts those large chains to shame(it doesn’t take much sadly). We had CTSBBQ catered to our office all the way in Katy on Go Texan Day! As usual, they over-ordered but this time, I did not mind. I took over 2 plates home and ate on it for days. We had brisket, sausage, baked beans, potato salad plus all the normal side fixings! The brisket was«fight over» worthy… like seriously, it was the first of the leftovers to leave. Good consistency of lean & fatty, flavor was there. The sausage was standard, but done well i.e. decent quality, not filled with gross fillers like beef or pork hearts *gag* well, at least it didn’t taste like it. I don’t always enjoy people’s potato salad but I give theirs 3 stars and the beans were alright with me. Nothing funky added or crazy recipe, just good ol smokey sweet baked beans(total shade at Goode Co BBQ) lol I will say, I think their bbq sauce could be better… it was rather thin. The silly broad at work who ordered it all said the broccoli rice casserole was to die for. I make a pretty mean one so I’m excited to go to the store front and try it.

It’s places like this that really grab me by the heart as soon as I walk through the door and realize that I’ve entered something special. Everything from the«over-the-years-look-how-we’ve-grown» décor, to the 20-person line, extending through the dining room, to the hand-drawn menu. Start to finish, this was one of the most unique meals I’ve had so far this year. Should I ever return to this area of the country again, a detour to CTS-BBQ will certainly be in order.
