A friend and I drove down to try this place. I got a pork rib and brisket plate. There was no one around to explain if sides came with a plate so I only got the potato salad. I later learned you could have as many sides as you wanted. Probably wouldn’t have changed my mind because the selection was skimpy. The ribs were dry and unappetizing. I left most of them. The brisket was okay by nothing to go back for. The potato salad was a blowout. All in all, not very satisfying. I won’t be back. If you want to eat in this area go to the Malay Malay Malaysian Restaurant nearby. ___ I’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for more than 25 years

$ 13 for a Sliced BBQ burger with fries. The bun was stale, fries were cold and they did not even have their popular fresh rolls available. I was there at 1:13 in the afternoon. Will make a different choice next time.

Always friendly employees! Delicious hot & fresh rolls. Ok, now for the reason they only get 3 stars– bbq was old and chewy. Sausage was pink and gray and really soft like soy sausage. The brisket in my baked potato was too chewy and fatty even though the taste of the potato was really good. Pulled pork was gross! They should ditch the mustard sauce. Bbq sauce is ok. This recent experience combined with past experiences at Springcreek(where the meat tasted a little better) is why I didn’t want to give them less than an average rating.

The worst BBQ I have had in Texas. My husband is a rib fan and he judges restaurants by it. He said the ribs tasted boiled with BBQ just slathered on top. My brisket was dry and tasteless. I was hoping the potato salad and beans would save the experience. I like almost all potato salads but the potato salad served here was so terrible I could not finish it ! The beans where bland and tasted worse than canned beans ! We wondered how this BBQ place stays in business ! Service was a bit slow. The only nice thing about this place is that it’s really nice, new building, not a good enough reason to eat there.

My wife and I decided to give Spring Creek BBQ another try. We love good BBQ and the actually BBQ they served was actually pretty good on our last visit. It was the sides that they were lacking on. I like the cafeteria style way that a lot of the BBQ restaurants in the area are configured. The server cuts and gives you your meat with a roll and you pick, choose and serve yourself the sides. God bless Texas and it’s BBQ restaurants!(It’s not like this where I’m from) So anyways, I decided to get a mixed plate on this visit. I ordered ribs and brisket. I served myself beans and potato salad and also a side of Mac and cheese. My wife ordered a chopped beef plate. With our drinks we payed around $ 34.00. My ribs were excellent this visit and seasoned well. They aren’t dry and almost fell off the bone. This was a great start! The brisk it was good not great, it was a little dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. When dipped in the little side of BBQ sauce though, it was very good. If you get the brisket, make sure you get some BBQ sauce to dip it in, it goes from bland to fantastic that way! Now the beans, oh how I had high hopes for you. The absolute first thing that I noticed was they weren’t even fully cooked! Serving hard, less then half cooked beans is a big no no. Especially in a BBQ joint. I won’t even go into taste because honestly, I couldn’t get past them not being cooked. On to the potato salad. This was worse then I remember it from last time. It tasted plain, lacked any flavor at all. It tasted like yellow coated cut up potatoes. Salt and pepper couldn’t even save it. RIP Spring Creek potato salad. I couldn’t even eat you. Now the mac and cheese. I should have known before I put it on my plate, it honestly didn’t look to great from the start. However I’m stubborn and love mac and cheese so I gave it a shot. Houston we have a problem. How can anywhere or anyone possibly mess up mac and cheese??? I don’t know, but I’m sure Spring Creek has your answer. This was literally the worse mac and cheese I’ve ever ate. No effort was put into this runny mess. No flavor and although it was yellow and resembled mac and cheese, it tasted like a horrible watered down version. I know I might of been rough on Spring Creek for their sides, but honestly, I paid to have a good meal and if you can’t put the same effort into the sides as you do your actual BBQ you need to hear the truth. I will say, the restaurant is clean and the staff is definitely friendly. They even walk around and deliver hot out the oven rolls. They have blue bell ice cream and hot peach cobbler available as well.

Ate lunch here today and 2 previous times in past few months. The guy cutting meat and taking order didn’t understand English and when I ordered the two meet plate with brisket and ribs he cut up two portions of brisket and when told him I wanted ribs and brisket he shook his head and yes brisket. When I told him no I also want ribs he said yes $ 7 more. I shook my head no and grabbed my plate of double brisket. Picked my sides of green beans and potato salad and dat down to eat. Brisket was good and sauce was okay but the potato salad was bland bland bland, green beans were just okay. Bottom line is this is average bbq, need to hire English speaking people so orders don’t get screwed up and spice up that potato salad.

I’m visiting from out of town and wanted to try Texan Bbq which i hear is all the rave! The ribs and brisket were tender however the sides were just ok. The potatoes were hard in the potato salad, the corn was pretty bland and the baked beans were overcooked and disappointing in flavor. I would come again if I just had a taste for the BBQ meat and Bbq sauce. But this place wouldn’t be my first choice. The food looks much better than the taste. Sorry guys.

It smells wonderful as you go through the line, I fairly standard bbq fair. Unlimited sides!!! Help your self, come get more. Several dessert options, including a blue bell/cobbler bar. Clean. Quick service. I really enjoyed the meal.

We got take out and it was terrible. Beef was dry and not flavorful. My sausage(cracked pepper) was grey in color and was very sponge like in texture. Our buns were burnt on top. With all the great BBQ options around cross this one off your to visit list. Super disappointed

Great value! This place is delicious. You get a lot, and the prices are reasonable. The bread is the best!

Not a bad place for an «on-the-fly» family dinner. This no frills barbeque restaurant is a cafeteria style(Luby’s, Furr’s, etc.) place that gives out free hot rolls while you’re eating. Overall, the meat was good. I liked the brisket the best, the turkey was just okay. Next time we go I’d love to try the sausage and the pulled pork. The restaurant itself was really slow, only a few other families were in there, and the service was decent. Nothing really stuck out about this place as being unique or over the top but it was a good dinner.

Ho hum average bbq, the most apathetic staff. They actually were pissed that I came in to get food and they would have to work

This place seemed quiet and not crowded for a Saturday at lunch, why not– I hate standing in long lines… The chicken was perfect, the brisket was pretty darn good, and the pepper sausage was tasty too! I have no idea why this place isn’t crowded or have more than 2.5 stars– it doesn’t make sense at all??? The roll girl is awesome also, come try it– you’ll know what I mean– be careful they are really hot!!!

I think the barbecue is better than average and they have really good salads. The sides however are horrific! Hey, put some pork fat in those beans and your potato salad seems to come from a tub. The Mac and cheese is very bland. If you fixed your sides your business would improve.

The absolute worst service to get a to go order in Pland. I simply just walked out. Tried ordering from the guy doing eat in orders since her and 3 other employees were engaged in other conversations I figured since u are working at least acknowledge my presence… Someone will b right with you or who knows. The mgr was preoccupied trying to find his register card to void a transaction I guess someone else messed up. Then enterers another guest that was helped before I… Another to go guest. My 3 trip here had a taste for BBQ, it’s not at all the best but didn’t want the drive. So not only is your food below average, your service is even worse. I did I mention no one sitting in the restaurant eating in… A family did walk in as I was leaving… Let’s see how how you are open with this kinda service… Hmmmmmmm Mgt probally will never even read this or won’t care to say the least!!!

Having eaten here twice in the last 3 days I can honestly say this is only«ok» bbq. Brisket is good, turkey and chicken are both tender(and the chicken has some tasty rub on it). The sides were very average and I really wasn’t a fan of any of their 3 sauces they offered. Service is ok I guess since it’s really just a cafeteria line with one person walking by offering extra rolls, even if they paid 0 attention to the fact that mine sat untouched on my tray… Not bad, but I’ve had much better bbq and I would’ve expected better for Texas.

I was told this was some of the best BBQ in Texas. It was good… very good, but not the best I have ever had. It’s a chain, which is fine, but I prefer a family run joint. You wait in line, cafeteria style, and are served a good sized portion of meat and sides. I had the brisket, mild sausage, beans and cole slaw. The brisket was excellent but the sausage was weak in my opinion. It was rubbery and kind of bland. The beans were top notch and the cole slaw was average. They serve piping hot rolls at the table which is a nice touch. The BBQ was really good, too. The prices were great for a quality BBQ joint. I would definitely be back… more of a lunch place than a dinner house.
