Candlewood Suites Pearland

STAY VERY, VERY FAR AWAY! If I could give negative stars, I would. DISCLAIMER: my I was not a customer but my daughter is a former employee of this hotel, and I was trying to collect (with her written, signed and dated authorization) her final paycheck. Should be simple, right? My experience with the general manager was I found him to be cheap, bullying and dishonest. I won’t go into detail but suffice it to say he was flagrantly wrong and entrenched, claiming she hadn’t worked the final two weeks which she had worked and that I had to prove that she did. This place is 45 minutes from where we live and it took two round trips to convince him to do what was right. He made me sit in the lobby an hour and a half and threatened to call the authorities on me before he finally checked his computer records (which he had previously claimed didn’t exist, were only on paper «off the premises» so go away), stormed off, and had his employee concede to me he had been mistaken and the employee would write a check for the money owed but which the general manager had not wanted to pay. No apologies for lying or slow walking his intractability. Save yourself some grief. Do not deal with this establishment. Stay at a place that is not known to have dishonest management. Check the previous reviews is you need further substantiation of the character of this manager. If you do stay here, scrutinize your bill, be prepared for his bullying and condescension, and understand you, too, may have to wait in his lobby for 90 minutes before he gives up and makes things right.

Mom and I had such an amazing experience here at the Candlewood Suites. The staff went above and beyond helping us to navigate the area and gave great insight as to several apartments to look into in the area.
The kitchenettes are perfect. The gym is open 24 hours a day and there is even a cute little place to grab a few groceries if needed. The rooms were clean and my family will definitely be staying there when they come visit me.

Clean. Great location.

This was actually a good place. It’s about a 20 – 30 minute drive to downtown Houston. The rates are reasonable. The rooms are very clean, new and spacious. The staff is friendly. They have Direct TV and that is always a plus with me.
