It’s alright… it’s a hotel you stay in for a day or two, nothing longer. This review is coming from a relative place in my mind because I was just in Oklahoma City for work(this is why I’m staying in this hotel also) last week, and I was spoiled with the hotel in OKC. The hotel here does not have a kitchen, small fridge, NOHOTTUB, and an outdoor pool-totally takes away 4 – 6 months of pool time in the winter. The breakfast isn’t bad, mostly continental stuff. I WILL tell you that the bread there is NOT fresh. I touched the english muffins and bread-the muffins were hard as rocks, and the bread was getting that stale feel from being out too long uncovered. You guys gotta up the game on that one. Don’t give people sub-par food just because it’s free. I shouldn’t be too hard on them about the kitchen; it isn’t an extended stay hotel, but it doesn’t meet my needs for longer than a day or two stay. I should probably bring that up to the people that selected my room. The hotel is old, has that old hotel smell, which is just a conglomeration of hundreds of other people’s smells I guess. When I’d come back into my room after work, it would smell mildewy. They also had work going on upstairs… so if you were there during the day you get to hear **BANGBANGBANG… BANGBANG** a lot. The card reader for the back door also stopped working less than 24 hours after I checked in, but to the hotel’s credit, they did fix it fast. The gym isn’t bad-two treadmills, a recumbent bike, and a stair master. The front desk people are very nice, and will help you however they can.

Not too bad suits large beds clean rooms. I saw some reviews talking about the rooms being damp I think it has to do with Houston being so humid. So far my stay has been great complementary WIFI and breakfast. The only thing I disliked was my fridge is not very cold and I’m not able to adjust it. Other than that and the location being away from everything it’s not too bad. Oh beds are temperpedic.

Horribly damp, moist, rooms that they tried to cover up by blasting the AC. The sheets were damp. The floor was damp. You can’t sleep like that. The lady at the desk was very nice and she showed me two more rooms but they were the same story. I checked out and went to the courtyard down the street where I am happily DRY in bed writing this review. It gets two stars because the front desk lady was so nice. I will add that I travel every single week for my job and stay at marriotts all over and have never had this problem. Typically a very low maintenance, happy platinum member.

The room was damp and humid after we switched from a room that smelled like smoke. The front of the hotel is extremely slippery when wet.

We have friends that live in Pearland and we try to see them as often as possible. This hotel couldn’t be more convenient for us, since it’s literally right outside their neighborhood. Here’s what I love about this hotel: ~It’s brand new and is still shiny. Everything works like it’s supposed to and the hotel and rooms are all pretty. ~All the rooms are suites and are perfect for traveling families. A pullout sofa bed for our son means we don’t have 3 people trying to share 2 beds. A fridge and microwave both make it more economical to have a little food available in the room. ~Continental breakfast. We all know you’re not getting a 5-star breakfast this way, but it cuts down on the high cost of eating out when you’re traveling. There’s nothing better than being able to grab a bagel or bowl of cereal before you hit the beach for the day. ~The price. $ 80/night on a holiday weekend? I’ll take it! Here’s the only thing I don’t like: ~They don’t allow dogs. If not for this one little thing, this hotel would be perfect and I’d gladly give them a glowing 5-star review.(Are you listening, Marriott?)
